Johnson County Park & Recreation District is proud to present our youth triathlon team: TRI913. We are excited to have the ability to offer an inclusive program that will develop character both mentally and physically through fun, educational, and community focused curriculum. At TRI913, our mission is simple: To inspire and empower youth of all ages to believe in themselves and recognize that they can achieve more than they ever thought possible.  Through the sport of triathlon, we aim to build confidence, perseverance, and teamwork, helping each athlete realize their full potential—both in and out of the race. Whether they're taking their first steps into the sport or competing at a high level, we’re here to support them every step of the way! 5K | 1 Mile Run/Walk/Roll/Kids Run| After Bash  Join us for the FIRST annual Club CAN Dash-Neurodiversity in Motion 2026! A 5K Walk/Run/Roll at the beautiful Shawnee Mission Park—a day of movement and community! This family-friendly event supports Club CAN-Community Appreciating Neurodiversity Inc. and our mission to create meaningful socialization opportunities for neurodivergent individuals of varying ages (Ages 11-Adulthood!) Whether you run, walk, roll, or cheer from the sidelines, your participation helps us build a neurodiversity affirming world that values the individual strengths of everyone. The Midwest Triathlon Series brings together three of the region’s most respected and athlete-favorite events for a true test of consistency, grit, and endurance. Held over three consecutive weekends, the series challenges athletes to race back-to-back-to-back while experiencing the best multisport venues the Midwest has to offer. The series includes: Matt Mason Memorial Cowboy Up Triathlon on Sunday, July 26thShawnee Mission Triathlon & Duathlon on Sunday, August 2ndKill Creek Park Triathlon, Duathlon, Aquabike, & Aquathlon on Saturday, August 8th  *To be eligible for the Midwest Triathlon Series, participants must be registered for all three races within the series. Designed for both seasoned competitors and motivated first-timers, the Midwest Triathlon Series rewards athletes who show up, dig deep, and race strong weekend after weekend.
