Packet pick-up Friday October 23rd before the race either at Prairie Moon Waldorf School from 12:45-1:30pm or at Fleet Feet in downtown Lawrence at 839 Massachusetts St. from 3-6pm OR on the day of the race between 8:30-9am. The 5K race begins and ends at Prairie Moon Waldorf School. 5k starts at 9:30am. Raffle for the Fire Pit donated by IMI Industrial Servcies will occur right before the race. Strollers are welcome but sturdy tires will be needed for the gravel road leading up to the trail. There will be prizes for top finishers donated by Garmin (Forerunner 165 Music) and local stores including Wheatfields, Garretts Farms, MellowFields, Uplift, Sunflower Outdoor and Bike and more. The inaugural Haunted Jaunt 5K & 10K Trail Races will take place on the Lawrence River Trails. This is a nighttime race that may feature a few spooky surprises along the route! Feel free to wear a costume but keep in mind the challenging nature of nighttime trail running when making costume choices. Start Time Sunset is scheduled for 6:29 PM. Races will begin at 6:30 PM. *Please note, depending on field size start times between the 5K and 10K may be staggered by up to 15 minutes. Race directors will make an announcement if start time adjustments are made closer to the race. Light Source Required of all Runners All runners must carry a light source such as a headlamp, waistlight, or handheld flashlight. It will be dark on the course. Course The Lawrence River Trails are relatively flat singletrack with a few short hills sprinkled in for fun. They are flowy and not too technical, with only a few roots or rocks, perfect for trail running experts and beginners alike. Races begin near the Levee gate, go down through the parking lot, and enter the River Trails on the south (right-hand) side. The 5K is one loop following the 5K Loop route. 10K Runners will complete two loops of the 5K Loop route. This is a non-certified course on trail; your watch will likely read a little more or less than 5K or 10K. If the trails are unsafe for runners or vulnerable to damage due to muddy conditions, an alternative course will be provided by the Lawrence Trail Hawks Race Directors. The alternate course will most likely be on the packed-gravel Lawrence Levee Trail. Aid Stations Water, electrolytes, energy snacks, fruit, and other items will be available on the course. A small aid station will be available near the 5K Loop turnaround, about halfway through the race for 5K runners. 10K runners will pass the turnaround aid station during each of your loops and will also have access to an aid station at the trailhead at the start of your second loop. We encourage runners to bring your own reusable hydration bottles or cups, in keeping with the Trail Hawks motto "Kindness to Life and Land". We will provide a few cups by the water coolers at the aid stations if you are in need. Awards All finishers will receive a wooden finishers medal. Awards will be given for 1st place overall and 1st place masters in each gender for the 5K and 10K races. Swag Participants registered by October 10 will receive a Haunted Jaunt t-shirt. Extra shirts may be available on raceday for anyone who registers after October 10 on a first come, first served basis but are not guaranteed. Participants will receive a custom race bib. Cutoff The Haunted Jaunt 5K and 10K races will have an end time of 9:30 PM. Runners and walkers are welcome to take advantage for up to 3 hours to complete either distance. To ensure you make the cutoff time, 10K runners/walkers must leave the trailhead aid station to begin their final loop of the course by 8:00 PM. Participants who choose to continue on the public trails past 9:30 pm do so at their own risk, without support from the race. Lawrence Trail Hawk Discount Dues paying members of the Lawrence Trail Hawks (http://trailhawks.com/) are eligible for the Trail Hawk discount of $10 off either race. You may consider parking in the public lot near the Kansas River bridge at the corner of N. 2nd Street and Locust St and take advantage of an approximately 1 mile warm-up and cool-down on on the river levee. Deferral Policy Seeing you cross the finish line is the reason we host this race. If you’ve signed up for one of the events, but are unable to safely participate in the race, we offer the following options. CHANGING DISTANCE PRIOR TO THE RACE Runners may contact the Race Director and transfer to a lower or a higher distance on or before October 10. If moving to a higher distance, a pro-rata charge will apply. No credit or refund can be given for transfers to a lower-distance race. You can also manage your registration on RunSignup and change the distance yourself. NO BIB TRANSFERS The Haunted Jaunt does not allow refunds or for the runners to transfer entries to other participants. Race numbers and official participant bibs are assigned by the Race Director to each specific participant and may not be sold, transferred, reproduced, replicated, or modified. DEFERRAL Runners may defer their race entries to the following year by notifying the Race Director on or before October 10. DID NOT START If you can’t attend, and haven’t deferred, please let the Race Director know at least seven days before the race, so your name can be removed from the starters list. If you don’t show up, and don’t let us know in advance that you can’t make it, you’ll be recorded as DNS in the race results. Rules and Safety Runner safety has always been, and will continue to be, a top priority for our event. Respect all participants and volunteers to ensure a safe and enjoyable race for everyone. Be courteous to others when passing or being passed. Single track trails are tight, so stay alert. Announce when you plan to pass someone, and go around them on the left when it is safe to do so. Kids and families are welcome! Participants must be at least 12 years old and any child under 14 must be accompanied by an adult on the course for the entirety of the race. Any child 14 or older but younger than 16 must have an adult present at the event. The River Trails are not suitable terrain for strollers. All runners must carry a light source such as a headlamp, waistlight, or handheld flashlight. It will be dark on the course. Follow the Trail Hawks motto "Kindness to Life and Land" and pick up any wrappers, tissues, bottles, or food waste that you use on the trail. We love dogs and normally welcome them. However, due to the narrow nature of the trails, the race being ran at night and presence of "haunt cast" on the trails we ask that you please keep the pups at home for this race. Personal music devices are strongly discouraged. No speakers allowed. If you wear headphones, use a low volume, one earbud, or bone conduction models that allow you to stay alert. In order to participate or volunteer in Lawrence Trail Hawks activities, you must be able to respect the identity of runners in regards to race, sexuality, gender identity, physical ability, age and body type. Any discriminatory language and behavior should be brought to the attention of the race director/event leader as soon as it is safe to do so. Anyone found speaking or behaving in a manner that diminishes the ability for fellow athletes and volunteers to participate in a safe, comfortable, and inclusive environment will be disqualified from the race or asked to leave the event and risks being barred from future Lawrence Trail Hawks races and events. Race Cancellation or Postponement In the event the race should be postponed or canceled for reasons beyond the control of the Lawrence Trail Hawks (inclement or unsafe weather conditions; local, state or national emergency), refunds will not be made. Race packets will be available at a location to be determined or possibly, though but not guaranteed, by mail. ALTERNATE COURSE If local authorities or Lawrence River Trail stewards deem the trails unsafe for runners or vulnerable to damage due to muddy conditions, an alternative course will be provided by the Lawrence Trail Hawks Race Directors. Volunteers We can't do this race without our wonderful volunteers! Help is needed for packet pickup and race day. You can sign up for a specific task, or sign up for "As Needed" to be assigned where we need you most. Ollie's Fall 10K is the 2nd race of 3 to complete the Ollie Trilogy. Ran at Lakeview recreation area in Chanute, Kansas. Lakeview is located inside Santa Fe Park and is also the host site for Ollie's Ultra which is the 3rd and final race of the trilogy that is held in December! The course is on a chat trail that covers 2.08 GPS miles(certified 2.022 for the ultra) per loop. Runners will complete 3 loops to accomplish the 10K distance. Since this trail is closed off from roads you have a generous time of 3 hours for the cutoff so runners as well as walkers can participate! 8am start with 11am cutoff. Participants will receive a medal for completing the race.

Come join us for a beautiful run at the Flint Hills Trail, Mile Zero Trailhead in Osawatomie, Kansas. The Flint Hills Trail is the longest of Kansas's 3,000 plus miles of public trails. It's a beautiful escape from the big city. The weather is typically cool and calm although you never know in Kansas! Finishers will receive trail-themed medals and compete for overall awards! Another plus is you get an extra hour of sleep the night before. While this race is on a trail, it is not a technical trail. This is the flattest, fastest trail you'll ever run! The surface is firm and smooth with crushed gravel. Finishers will also receive a giveaway, which is TBD. Pick your distance: 5k, 10k, and 10 miles. The cost is $30/$35/$40 for each distance. Packet pickup is at 7AM at the Karl E. Cole Sports Complex. The address is: 900 12th Street, Osawatomie, Kansas 66064. It is better to use Google Maps rather than Apple Maps to arrive at the correct address. Join us on Sunday, November 15, for the annual KU Vets Day 5K, a community event honoring the service and sacrifice of veterans while celebrating the important role military-affiliated students, alumni, faculty, staff, and community members play at the University of Kansas and beyond. This year's race holds special significance as we commemorate the 40th anniversary of the University of Kansas Vietnam War Memorial, dedicated in 1986 as the first on-campus Vietnam memorial in the United States. The memorial stands as a lasting tribute to Jayhawks who served and sacrificed during the Vietnam War and reflects KU's longstanding commitment to honoring veterans and preserving their legacy for future generations. The race will begin and end at the Jayhawk Welcome Center, bringing together runners, walkers, veterans, military families, students, alumni, and community supporters for a morning of remembrance and camaraderie. Proceeds from the event support veteran-focused programs and initiatives that strengthen the military-affiliated community at KU. Building on the success of last year’s inaugural event, the Topeka Turkey Trot returns as a community-focused tradition to kick off the holiday. We had a tremendous first year and we are excited to build off that momentum!  Participants of all ages and abilities are welcome, whether you’re aiming for a personal best, enjoying a relaxed walk with friends and family, or simply taking part in the festive atmosphere. From experienced runners to those trotting for the pie, this event celebrates movement, gratitude, and togetherness before the Thanksgiving meal. Join other families as they participate in the 37th Annual Thanksgiving Day 5K Run & Family Stroll presented by T-Mobile. The 2026 run will be hosted at Aspiria campus (6240 Sprint Pkwy, Overland Park, KS 66211). This race benefits the Kansas City Sports Commission & Foundation and WIN for KC and 100% of the proceeds generated will fund our mission of making a better Kansas City through sports by attracting major events such as the 2023 NFL Draft and the 2026 FIFA World Cup. In order to protect our participants and ensure a safe event, each individual participating in this event must be officially registered under their own name with accurate personal information. Failure to do so will void the registration and prohibit participation. Registration fees are non-refundable in all cases regardless of inability to participate or event cancellation. The race director reserves the right to cancel the event because of weather, natural disaster, or other unforeseen circumstances which pose a significant danger to the participants.

3 Mile Walk/Run or 2 Mile Walk Both races start and finish at the Fitness Center (NW of Lakeside Elementary). The 3 Mile Run/Walk is the same as the Picnic route running the west side of the dike and coming in on Lake Drive The 2 Mile Walk will head west to start with the runners then back to the gravel road that runs by Dollar General, coming back into town on Lake Drive. Join us for our fourth annual we fit turkey trot on Thanksgiving morning at 9 o’clock Located in our local Brown’s Park. A percentage of the money we raise will go to our local nonprofits ! Your choice between a 5K or a 2 mile walk both events are not timed ! Strollers, dogs on leashes and kiddos with bikes are also allowed to be joining us! At the end of our 5K there will be a kids fun dash for our younger group! Dark Evergreen Crewneck Sweatshirts will be included in the gestation registration fee. Run Historic Route 66 in Kansas the USATF-certified as an exact point-to-point Half Marathon, from the Missouri/Kansas Stateline to the Kansas/Oklahoma Stateline. Top 3 runners in each age division will get trophy Packet Pickup at 511 Main Street, Galena, Kansas, the morning of the race. The name NOLAN means "champion" and the 2nd annual Nolan Davidson Champion's Run was established to celebrate Nolan Davidson and the spirit of competition and determination in which he lived his life. On December 7th 2023, Nolan tragically passed away from injuries sustained from a drunk driving accident. Nolan's love for sports and compassion for others left a lasting impact on his school community and the Kansas City youth soccer community. With last year's race proceeds, the Nolan Davidson Foundation was able to donate $30,000 to KC Fusion Soccer Club for youth scholarships, fully fund the Foundry Church’s Club 45 youth group nights for fourth and fifth graders, and donate over 1,000 toys to Children’s Mercy Hospital. We look forward to continuing our support this year to these programs as well as providing four KC metro high school cross country runners each a $1,000 scholarship. Salty Santa 5K Saturday, December 5 | 8:00 AM Forget the snow - bring on the salt! Join us for the first-ever Salty Santa 5K, a one-of-a-kind holiday adventure 650 feet underground at Strataca. This festive underground run is packed with Christmas spirit, nostalgia, and a little underground magic. Imagine the excitement of Christmas morning, the charm of holiday traditions, and the thrill of exploring a salt mine—all rolled into one unforgettable experience. 🎅 Costumes are highly encouraged! Break out the Santa suits, ugly Christmas sweaters, reindeer antlers, elf costumes, holiday pajamas, or your favorite vintage Christmas-inspired attire. The more festive, the better! This Isn't Your Average 5K This unique course takes you through the cool, dimly lit tunnels of an active salt mine, creating a holiday experience unlike any other. All participants must bring: A helmet (bike helmets work great)A flashlight or headlampHelmets are required and will be inspected before entry. Important Details No participants under age 8.Ages 8–18 must be accompanied by an adult.Select your starting heat during registration. Each heat is limited to 30 participants.Run or walk at your own pace.
