Take on the America 250 Challenge and celebrate your accomplishment of the Challenge on the 250th anniversary celebration of the United States!  Challenge participants will seek to complete 250 miles of intentional running and walking between the start of the Challenge on March 1 and the completion date in July 4! Participants can track their progress on Strava, if they choose, with the America 250 Challenge group and support one another as they pursue their goal! Registration for the Challenge is just $10. Participants who complete their Challenge will receive a custom America 250 Challenge medal and can also choose to add a custom challenge shirt to their Challenge registration for just $12!

Join us for the St. John’s Alumni & Friends 5K Run/Walk on March 21 in conjunction with our Annual Benefit Auction weekend! The race will take place Saturday morning starting at 9 a.m. with participants running or walking a fun, scenic course around Beloit. Whether you are running, walking or cheering from the sidelines, it’s a great way to reconnect and kick off the weekend together. All registered participants by March 4th receive an event t-shirt.  Individuals can still register after March 4, but will not receive a t-shirt due to printing deadlines. Cash prizes will be awarded to top male and female finishers. Proceeds go to support St. John’s Catholic Schools. The Mills is a short distance point to point race that finishes up a hill just short of 1200 meters. There is a total of 100 feet of elevation gain in that 1200 meter span and over half of it occurs in the last 400 meters.

Celebrate Prairie Village's 75th anniversary with a 5K run down 75th Street and through picturesque, tree-lined neighborhood streets. Mark your calendars for the 8th annual Bluestem PACE 5K Race on Saturday, April 4, 2026! Proceeds from the race will benefit the Bluestem PACE Good Neighbor Fund.  This fund is in place to assist participants who encounter unforeseen circumstances and to support Bluestem PACE in providing high quality services.  Bluestem PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) assists seniors in central Kansas so they can remain safe and independent in their home as long as possible.  Bluestem PACE is a non-profit organization.   ***First 50 people to sign up will receive a gift certificate for 18 holes of golf at Turkey Creek Golf Course in McPherson.***

The Easter Egg 5K is a a great event that provides the fun of Easter in a 5K, 10K and kids run! Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids will earn points for each race they complete based on their finish. The Tourism Trot 5K Run/Walk event aims to bring together students, faculty, staff, families, and members of the community for a fun, healthy activity while supporting an important initiative. The funds raised through registration fees, donations, and sponsorships will go directly towards the Jana Jordan Scholarship Fund, which helps to provide financial assistance to deserving students studying at Fort Hays State University.  Jana began her career in tourism as the International Group Tour Guide for Hays Travel for several years and then served 26 years as the Hays Convention and Visitors Bureau Director, retiring in 2014. She passed away in 2019 and a scholarship was created in her honor. She was a tremendous supporter of the tourism and hospitality program at FHSU. She supported a scholarship and made many connections across the state creating opportunities for students and moving forward many tourism initiatives. In January of 2015, the Olathe Police Department’s Officer Michael Kern, radio number 704, passed away from a fatal heart attack while preparing for a Presidential escort.  In his memory the annual 704 Blue Run was born and is a tribute to his service and all Olathe Officers that have been tragically lost.   Unfortunately, 2018 saw the unexpected passing of Olathe Police Department Sgt. The mission of the Kansas Infant Death and SIDS (KIDS) Network is to serve those who are or may be touched by the tragedy of infant death or SIDS by providing supportive services, community education, professional training and support of associated research. The KIDS Network’s strategy is to reduce infant mortality by collaborating with statewide initiatives to address prematurity, congenital defects, stillbirth and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). This is achieved through multiple innovative initiatives, including: Safe Sleep Community Baby Showers; Cribs for Kids; Safe-sleep education for new and expectant parents via hospital, home visit, or birthing center; and safe-sleep training for healthcare and child care providers. The purpose of this non-competitive race is to bring the Sunflower Elementary and Lawrence community together to support health, wellness, and connection. The race start will take place at Sunflower Elementary School in the beautiful Lawrence, KS, and consist of a loop circling the Sunflower and Southwest Middle School property that is partially off-road on grass and partially on paved sidewalk. Participants can run/walk from one to three loops based on preference, and volunteers will be present to help with route directing. The finish line of the race is on the Southwest Middle School track.  A Sunflower Fun Run student-designed t-shirt is included in the entry fee, and t-shirts can be picked up at Sunflower the morning of the race from 7:30 to 8:45 am. Payment can also be made in person via check, cash, or Venmo the morning of the race with a t-shirt included while supplies last. We have ran for 35 years, and we have no plans to stop! Welcome to the 35th Run of the Emma Creek 5K/1M run/walk.  This is our annual fundraiser to raise funds to serve our youth, who due to budgetary constraints, would not be able to participate. This race is a tradition in Hesston Kansas and is unique because it is a women's only race, where we have a variety of ages, as we have 17 awarded age groups as well as the top ten! The route will cover a segment of the Lawrence Loop.
