Soles Walking 4 Souls Virtual Walk-A-Thon

San Antonio, TX
This walk was started in 2023 to commemorate the bill signed by Governor Abbott designating October as Fentanyl Awareness Month in Texas. Since that time, we have hosted three in person Fentanyl Awareness Walks in San Antonio, TX Well, We’re Doing Something Completely Different This Year! This year, Soles Walking 4 Souls is changing things up! Instead of hosting our traditional in-person walk in San Antonio, we’re taking our mission beyond one location and inviting people everywhere to walk with us. From October 23–31, 2026, we’re hosting the Soles Walking 4 Souls Virtual Walk-a-Thon during Red Ribbon Week. For nine days, participants can walk wherever they are, log their miles, share their stories and photos, create teams, and help us work toward one big community mileage goal. Walk one mile or walk twenty. Walk around your neighborhood, at a park, on a treadmill, with your family, friends, coworkers, classmates, or your dog. You can walk in memory of someone you love, in honor of someone in recovery, or simply because you believe in raising awareness about the dangers of illicit fentanyl. Registration is FREE There is no registration fee to participate. We want everyone who believes in this mission to be able to join us, regardless of where they live. Participants are encouraged to create their own fundraising page or teamthrough RunSignup and invite friends and family to support their miles. Donations are appreciated but never required to participate. Every Mile Matters Throughout the week, participants can log their miles through RunSignup as we work together toward our overall mileage goal. Whether you walk one mile or walk every day, your miles count. Each mile represents awareness. Each mile represents remembrance. Each mile represents hope. And together, those miles show families impacted by fentanyl that they are not walking alone. Make It Your Own Create a team with your family, workplace, school, organization, recovery community, or group of friends. Walk in your own community and share your photos, signs, stories, and miles throughout the week. Participants are also encouraged to walk in honor or memory of someone special and share their name and story. We’ll be sharing participant photos and stories throughout the event on social media so that even though we may be walking in different cities and states, we can come together as one community with one mission. Why Red Ribbon Week? Red Ribbon Week is the nation’s largest drug prevention awareness campaign. By holding our walk-a-thon during Red Ribbon Week, we hope to bring additional attention to the devastating impact of illicit fentanyl and encourage conversations about prevention, education, recovery, and protecting our communities. Who Can Participate? Everyone. Anywhere. Walk alone. Walk with your family. Walk with friends. Walk with coworkers. Walk with your school or organization. Walk with your dog. There is no required pace and no required distance. Participate in whatever way works for you. At Soles Walking 4 Souls, we know that behind every statistic is a person, a family, and a story that matters. Together, we walk for those we have lost. We walk for those still fighting. We walk for awareness. We walk for change. Register for free, create your team or fundraising page, log your miles, and help us see just how far we can walk together.

The 6th Annual I CAN’T BEXAR ANOTHER RUN 0.5K is coming! San Antonio’s ORIGINAL 0.5K!!!

San Antonio, TX
Let's do it! San Antonio’s ORIGINAL 0.5K!!! The Big Deal Join your fellow Slackers for a glorious day of triumph, self‑reflection, and a costume contest that absolutely no one asked for. Honestly, you can be done in fifteen to twenty minutes ("run" only), which is perfect for anyone who has a strict schedule of doing nothing. Welcome to the 6th Annual “I Can’t Bexar Another 5k” 0.5k on October 31st, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. sharp. Or close to it. We start at Burleson Yard Beer Garden and end at Alamo Beer, because we do. Remember to hydrate. This is a grueling event. We even have a training program if you request it. Really. It exists. We are as surprised as you are. We will finish at Alamo Beer, and that is when the celebration begins. You can take an unreasonable number of selfies at our selfie wall, post them all over social media, even TikTok, and brag to your friends that you are a FINISHER. If you even have any friends. Too lazy to show up? Perfect. We built an option just for you - the class of participants who look at a half‑kilometer stroll and say, “Absolutely not.” At registration, simply declare - proudly, loudly, maybe even with jazz hands - that you are a Certified Slacker. No judgment. No shame. Honestly, we respect the commitment to doing nothing. Once you’ve confessed your laziness, we’ll mail your swag straight to your door so you don’t have to burn a single calorie. As a Lazy Participant, you’ll still receive: The official race t‑shirt (which you will not sweat in)A pretentious sticker announcing your “achievement”And a luxurious leather medal that doubles as a coaster because nothing says “I conquered a brutal 0.5K” like placing your drink on proof you didn’t actually show up. Congratulations in advance on "finishing" the world’s most avoidable race. The Very Inactive Person (VIP) is designed specifically for those who take one look at 543 yards and say, “Listen… I’m important. My legs don’t do that.” If you believe you are far too distinguished, influential, or spiritually delicate to run (or walk), simply upgrade for a mere $15. That’s right - for the price of a fast‑food combo meal, you can ride to the finish line like royalty on the tailgate of a snappy Dodge 3500 Pearl White Dually. Because nothing says “athletic achievement” like arriving on a truck that could tow a small planet. You big spender, you. Only the finest transportation for someone of your stature. And as a VIP, you’ll also receive a special lanyard - a difference that loudly announces, “I did not participate, but I absolutely arrived.” It sets you apart from the common walkers and overachievers. Only the best for you. Goodies and Fun Stuff! If you want a stylish, lavish, highly sought-after t-shirt on race you must register prior to October 10th. If you miss the gate, some shirts will be available two-three weeks after registration, so you’ll need to pick them up then. We’ll let you know when your ship (shirt) comes in. This is why we really do it, anyway. The flashy oval 0.5k sticker shows your dedication to training and endurance for all to see. So, brag a little. Stick it right on your front windshield at eye-level so you can enjoy it too, along with the jealous glares of your fellow commuters as they meet you in the other lane. “Medals”. EVERYONE gets one, and it’ll be the coolest one you ever got. It doubles as a coaster, so when you entertain friends, you can passive-aggressively brag. We will continue to have a rejuvenation station, first aid (not really-if you need it, it’s on you), and the smoking area at the halfway mark. We decided to have this due to the difficulty level of the “race” for your own safety. There’s also the very competitive, popular vote individual and group costume contests with prizes. Dress up in anything fun or stupid. If you’re even considering this, you probably already have a costume in your secret closet. Post- “race” celebration and victory party is at Alamo Beer, where they’re opening early just for us, and because they recognize the importance of hydration and a free beer. Yay! It’s Alamo Beer’s SPOOKTOBERFEST celebration, and they’ll music. Only the best for you. You get your free beer at the finish. You may get only one free beer, but you can always buy more of Alamo Beer’s special SPOOKTOBERFEST beer, so please think about an Uber or DD. Seriously. Volunteers. Yeah, you. We need you. Simply sign up for it at the link that says “Volunteer”. You still get all the swag and can drive over the finish line. Only the best for you. Military are eligible for volunteer credit, and high schooler eligible for Community Service. We’ll provide all that’s required for the credit. Register before Oct 12th to guarantee the swag.

SHEATH 5/10K Run & Walk $2,000 IN PRIZES!!!

San Antonio, TX
Lace up and show up. The SHEATH race is back — and this year we've gone bigger, adding a 10K for anyone ready to push past their limits. Whatever your pace, shape, or size, this is your race. Chase a new PR, walk it with your crew, or just come out to move, sweat, and celebrate what your body can do. Every level belongs on this start line. SHEATH Underwear is a veteran-owned, family-run activewear company built on one simple idea: when you feel good, you perform better. We're bringing that philosophy off the shelf and onto the course — a morning of miles, music, food, and community, powered by the strength inside everyone who shows up. Why We Run: We believe every challenge can be conquered — on the course and off it. This race is our way of bringing San Antonio together to honor peace, resilience, and the quiet strength it takes to keep going. Cross the finish line for yourself. Cross it for your community. Race Details Distances: 5K (3.1 mi) & 10K (6.2 mi) Date: 11.07.2026 Location: Martin Luther King Park — 3503 Martin Luther King Dr, San Antonio, TX 78220 Timing: Professionally timed by IAAP Course map: https://www.plotaroute.com/route/3418004 What You'll Earn: The first 150 runners receive an official SHEATH race T-shirt and finisher medal. Arrive early, grab your bib, warm up, and soak in the pre-race energy before the gun goes off. After the Finish: The finish line is just the start of the fun. Stick around for games, prizes, food, and a post-race celebration built for the whole family. Refuel, swap stories, and stay a while — you earned it. Vendors: Local vendors TBA — check back for the full lineup. Rain or Shine: This is a rain-or-shine event — but your safety comes first. If thunder or lightning rolls in, we'll hold the start and reassess in 30-minute windows (up to one hour total) until conditions are safe. We'll post any updates on-site and across our social channels on race day. Sponsor or booth set up: We'd love to have you — from hosting packet pickup, to a race-day booth, to your logo on our shirts and marketing materials. Over the years, the CM5K has evolved from an internal event into a community-wide celebration, welcoming thousands of participants annually. As the event has grown, it has traveled across San Antonio—from Brackenridge Park to SeaWorld San Antonio, Alamo Plaza, Roosevelt Park, and even a virtual format during the pandemic—while always staying true to its mission: encouraging movement, connection, and a culture of wellness. Now, the CM5K returns once again to SeaWorld San Antonio for this year’s event. Whether you’re walking your first 5K, running for a personal best, or cheering on friends and c
