Races

IAAP Training is a year-around free training program designed to help you improve your running in a group environment. We welcome runners of all abilities and experience levels. The program is centered on two key training sessions - Track Workouts on Tuesdays  and Thursdays at Brackenridge High Schoool at 400 Eagleland and a Long Distance run that meets on Sundays at Mission San Juan at 7am. This combination of speed and endurance are the foundation for achieving success in running. There is also a monthly chip-timed 1 & 2 Mile time trial designed to track your overall progress. From time to time we may change our workout locations and times, but we will notify our participants in advance on any changes to the schedule. IAAP feels that training goes better if you run with a group that shares your goals. The training is led by coaches who are passionate about running and want to share their knowledge and experience to help you reach your goals. With all these factors going for it IA

Every year we are always looking on how to gicve back to our volunteers and this year edragon has decided we are going to give back to those volunteers who help out the most and deserve to get recognition for everything they do.  So This year we are going todo a couple things.  1st all ouir volunteers are going to be able to sign up for each race they accomplish through one single area and then will come back and submit their volunteer hours. those volunteer hours will count towards future edragon cash tradeable for race discounts, edragon swag and occasional racing swag on our website. On top of that we will be doing a volunteer award ceremony at our winter dragon event in january to give special merchandise and prizes for all the volunteer that were able to help us for the year.  The volunteer however will have to come back and submit their hours worked at each volunteer event.

A UTSA on campus ruck, sponsored by the VMA office. Weight of the ruck is up to you; we are going in 5lbs increments. This ruck will be on campus, and a 3 mile walk around it. After the ruck we will go to "The Block" food truck courts across campus for comradery after the ruck, just like we all did in the military! See you there! $45/person or $40/person if in a group. Grant Crawford Memorial Run Merck Animal Health will sponsor a 5 km run/walk the morning of Wednesday, April 8th with a 6:30 am start time.  Grant Crawford was an exemplary husband, father, colleague, friend, scientist, leader, and runner whose life ended in a tragic car accident last spring.  Dr. Crawford was a co-chair of the Midwest Consulting Nutritionist Forum and an active participant in the Plains Nutrition Conference.  This inaugural race will be continued for years to come. Race entry fee will be $50 plus a small online processing fee; the $50 entry fee will be donated directly to the Grant Ira Crawford Memorial Fund established by the Crawford family.  Additional donations can also be made through the site. The San Antonio Sports All-Star Basketball Game, presented by Valero, has served as a celebration of success of boys and girls basketball careers. This new game only in its third year has of more than 120 players from over 60 area high schools will take place Sunday, April 12 at the Northside ISD Sports Gymnasium, located at 8400 N. Loop 1604. Clinics will be hosted at the practice sites of each of the all star teams, and run by the all star coach and their players. This new game only in its third year has of more than 120 players from over 60 area high schools will take place Sunday, April 12 at the Northside ISD Sports Gymnasium, located at 8400 N. Loop 1604. Gather your friends and lace up for our annual Donut Run, where you’ll run a beautiful course and be greeted at the Finish Line with... donuts!  Enjoy a fun-filled day of running, laughter, and Community.    Overview:Run will sell-out QUICK! We will close off waves the moment they fill up. If waves are sold out, you can sign-up for the virtual run option or wait list. This is a smaller, private group run with a cap per wave. All paces and ages (under 18 with guardian) are welcome - Run or Walk!   There's no equipment or setup, this is a pure run with our coordinators to support you in a warm, stress-free setting! When you sign-up, we give you the support you need to help you achieve your goals and fitness. We also invite you to be part of our local run clubs that supports your fitness

This will be the 14th Annual Run to Remember 5k/10k and by special request we are keeping the .5k Beer run and .5k kids run. We are excited to be doing this again and hope you are too.    By now we would hope everyone knows what Beard vs Beans is, and if not, here's a little bit about us!    Sibling rivalry is something that everyone with a brother or sister is familiar with. My younger brother (Matthew aka Beard) and I (Miguel aka Beans) definitely know a thing or two about it. Together, we decided to put our competitive efforts toward a cause for a disease that has affected our family, Alzheimer’s!! Even in hard times our family has always been light hearted and fun, so with that, we compete to see which brother can raise the most money in donations for the Alzheimer's Association of San Antonio and South Texas.
