Take the Leap at Walnut Beach! Join the brave, warm-hearted souls who will Leap for Literacy. Leapers from around the area are invited to run, jump or dive into the chilly waters at Walnut Beach to help raise money to support Literacy Volunteers of Southern Connecticut. Registration Fee: $20 for adults and $10 for students, includes a giveaway for each Leaper. Walk-ins are welcome, but we can't guarantee a giveaway. Literacy Volunteers of Southern Connecticut is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

For over thirty years the Bridgeport Hospital Milford Campus has hosted a Mother's Day Run and Walk to promote wellness and health. All abilities are invited to join us as we celebrate this special day!  Proceeds from this year’s Mother’s Day 5K Run/Walk will support programs and patients of Bridgeport Hospital's Milford Campus. Important to note: THIS YEAR WE ARE LIMITING OUR PARTICIPANT NUMBER TO 650.  Please consider registering early - we were close to sold out last year.  We do not want to compromise your safety and  have limited space.Once registration is closed, it will NOT be reopened. Thank you for understanding.  EVENTS: Our 5K chip timed Run (or walk) and 3k Fitness Walk (untimed) both begin and ends at the Milford Campus of Bridgeport Hospital. You must RUN or WALK the entire 5K if you want to be computer timed and eligible for awards. Welcome to the Milford Rotary, Run in the Park, 5K - a Trail Run/Walk/Hike. Enjoy this adventure, with the whole family (including your dog), or a team, in Milford's beautiful Eisenhower Park and help support the Milford Rotary and Beth-El Center for the homeless!  The Milford Rotary raises money for the local community, people in need and college scholarships. The course is a High School Cross Country course and is for all abilities of runners, walkers and hikers. Mostly flat, some rolling hills and scenic! The course starts and finishes in Eisenhower Park. You can run fast, or slow or walk, comfortably, at any pace. Enjoy!  T-Shirts are guaranteed to the first 100 adults.

The Milford Road Runners are excited for the return to Tribus Beer Co for the 2026 Independence Day 5K!!The race will be held on July 4th, 2026 at 9:30am and there’s no better way to spend your holiday than by running a 5K and celebration afterparty! All participants will receive a custom shirt, free food, and a free beer (age 21+). The race has a 500 participant limit. This is a family-friendly event and runners/walkers of all ages are welcome to sign up.  Register by May 31, 2026 to guarantee your shirt size.

USATF 5K Course

We welcome you to the 15th edition of our great event which we continue to hold at the Walnut Beach Pavilion! Because the race is in October, the Fall leaves will have begun to change.  It's a beautiful time of year to get out and enjoy the crisp air.  And you'll be helping an amazing cause! We're also bringing back our exciting gift certificate raffle this year that will include many local restaurants. Our course is designed for all abilities of runners and walkers. Flat scenic roads except for one minor incline at the beginning that start and finish near the beach.  You’ll be able to run fast, or easy, or walk comfortably at any pace. There is plentiful parking available in the Beach parking lot.  This Year's Project:A Rwimi secondary school with about 2,000 girls and boys have depended on a very dangerous stream to provide their water needs. The stream has claimed the lives of several students and locals as they stooped to fetch the dirty water. We can help by drill

We are excited to announce the 46th annual Winter Wonderland 5 Miler Sunday, January 31, 2027 at 9:30 am!!!! Details to come in Fall 2026! The proceeds and donations of this event fund scholarships given to Milford High School Seniors, donations to local charities, and allow us to host the Kid's Track Summer Series! This is a free weekly track meet for kids hosted by the Milford Road Runners. The Milford Road Runners is a 501(c)(3) organization.
