Calling all dog walkers, runners, and Halloween enthusiasts! PAWS presents the 5th annual Zombie Walk & Furry 5k! This Halloween is going to the dogs! Your pups can expect all of their favorites at the Zombie Walk & Furry 5k! Treats, exercise, new pals to sniff and of course the cutest costumes! Humans can expect a cute keepsake finisher awards for their pets, goodie bags, raffles, and a costume contest! We are happy to announce that we are partnering with Gravel Road Brewing again as our starting/ending location! Utilizing the bike path and wide scenic downtown sidewalks!  Ample free parking can be found nearby, the largest lot is a block away at 26 S Broad Street! Behind the SORG Opera House. Annual Run For Your Life! Free Halloween Group Run with the our Run Club! Wednesday, October 28th 6:30pm-8:30pm Sunset Park 2698 Milton Rd, Middletown, OH 45042 5k and scavenger hunt! Run/Walk Run through Middletown neighborhoods with your favorite Middletown run club to see the awesome local Halloween displays! This is not a race, just a group run with our run club. It is open to the public! So even if you are not in our run club, come join us for some Halloween fun! 5k: We will have turn by turn directions to pass out to everyone doing the 5k, and there will be chalk arrows on the ground. This is a very casual running/walking tour of some of the best halloween displays in Middletown Ohio! We encourage you to take a selfie with the displays and tag us in a post on Facebook or Instagram! We will share your photos on the event page! Scavenger Hunt: This year we are changing the challenge up a little! We will be picking the top 5 Halloween displays in all of Middletown. To complete the challenge you must visit every display we have marked on the map. These will be spread out in different Middletown Neighborhoods. We will have the house addresses, you can use your phone to look them up, but NO turn by turn directions or arrow markings. Just take a selfie with each display and show us your strava/tracker app when you are done. (Note the scavenger hunt could be upwards of 8-10 miles depending on how you run it!) Prizes: Anyone who completes the Scavenger Hunt Challenge will get a special prize! The fastest challenge time will win a trophy. Shirts: Shirts must be pre-ordered by October 10th. (Run club members who have filled out their membership cards at least once this year will receive a complimentary shirt, but must give Kenzie your size before the cutoff date) Preordered shirts will be available only the night of the run at Sunset Park for pick up!

Come on, let's Turkey Trot! The Community Building Institute - Middletown's fifth annual Turkey Trot in Middletown Ohio, is on Nov 14th at Triple Moon Coffee Company. 10:00am start time. Gates open at 8:30am. Description: Proceeds from this fundraiser support CBI's birth-to-five, out-of-school enrichment, workforce development, and family engagement programs as well as the Robert 'Sonny' Hill Community Center. Your registration comes with a bib to participate in the race, a swag bag, a t-shirt (if registered by 10/28), a participation medal, and a discount at Triple Moon Coffee Company. Youth tickets do not come with a shirt. Shirts only come in adult sizes and can be added to a youth registration for an additional $10. Compete as an individual or with your business as a corporate team. Categorized prizes will be awarded to solo runners and a traveling trophy will be awarded to the corporate team with the lowest average runtime. The first three male runners and the first three female runners to cross the finish line will receive cash prizes. 5K/3.1-mile course starts on Broad Street. Parking will be available in the adjacent bus station parking lot and restaurant parking. Strollers and leashed dogs are welcome. Pricing tiers: Early Bird (8/26 - 9/13): $25 Tier 2 (9/14 - 10/14): $30 Tier 3 (10/15 - 11/14): $35 T-shirt deadline: The deadline to ensure you receive a race t-shirt is Wednesday, October 28th, 2026. Registrants may add additional shirts at $10 each. After the race, visit the registration table to see if there any extra shirts remaining. Extra shirts will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis as participants cross the finish line, with priority given to those who missed the deadline. Early check in: Friday November 13th, registrants can check in and collect race materials early inside Triple Moon Coffee Company from 5pm-8pm. If you won't be checking in early, be sure to get to the race by 9:45AM to be assigned a bib and lineup at the start line by the 10AM start time. Awards: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place female and male prize winners can expect cash prizes ($300, $200, and $100 respectively) and gift cards. In addition to participation medals for every runner, there will be medals awarded to the first male and female of the following categories: 1st place overall 12 and under 13-19 20-29 30-39 40-49 50-59 60-69 70+ Corporate Teams: Register your company, business, or organization as a team and compete for the esteemed Traveling Trophy. The winning team with the lowest average runtime will keep the trophy at their offices for the year! Middletown's 6th annual running of the Santa's! 12/12/26 Santa run has a new home! The Woodside Cemetery and Arboretum near Downtown Middletown! 1401 Woodside Blvd, Middletown, OH 45044 Holiday Fun: Every participant will receive a Santa hat, unique keepsake Christmas ornament, a sweet treat and a "Hot Drink" ticket from the coffee Truck! Route: Enjoy the scenic Arboretum as you make a double loop through the flat and beautiful Woodside Cemetery. Come to run dressed as the big guy! We would love to see all our runners dressed up as Santa, and of course there is a prizes for the jolliest looking Santa at the event, and our fastest male and female Santas! Toys For Tots: Toys For Tots will be there collecting donations of toys or monetary donations! The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
