A 5K fun run/walk on a flat course. Costumes are highly encouraged for you and your four-legged friend. Event proceeds are directed towards the new Town of North Elba Dog Park, so dress, don't forget to add a costume to your pet to accompany you on this journey.

Join us for Adirondack Health's 17th Annual Turkey Trot 2025! This flat 5K walk/run starts at 8:30 am on Thursday, November 26th (Thanksgiving Day) at the Beach House in Lake Placid, NY. ALL proceeds from the event will benefit the Local Food Pantry and Adirondack Health's Fit for Life Scholarship Fund. Please join us...we are anticipating over 600 participants this year! A new running off-road race on the Adirondack Rail Trail. Day before Mother's Day, Saturday May 9, 2026 starting at 1130a.  Out and Back event starting and,  finishing  at Bike Lake Placid (455 Old Military Rd).  Fun at the finish will allow everyone to enjoy a post-race celebration including food, drink, music and awards. Awards provide to the top 3 in the following categories: Youth (up to age 20) U10 for MayDay 5K  Open (21-45) Masters (46 up)  The non binary category will be ageless The race will feature a cup-less aid station/finish line supplying water and runners are encourage to bring their own vessel for water supply. This will help to reduce trash/create a more sustainable event. One on-course aid station will be located at the turn around just in the middle of the Ray Brook straightaway.  Parking will be provided at the LP Firehous lot near to the start. Sunday, June 14 8am start   Cutoff time for both Marathon and Half is 2pm.  10K will run concurrently. The Half Marathon is a single loop out and back while the Marathon is a double out and back. Both races begin/end on Main St. in the charming Village of Lake Placid at the Olympic Speedskating Oval. The Marathon/Half course is a combination of flat, rolling and some hills and runners enjoy mountain views, open areas, shaded areas, a class III trout stream, and beautiful Mirror Lake along the way.  Well-stocked aid stations are available. The event offers a generous six (6) hour course limit for each race. Athlete food at the Race Finish along with a quality finisher medal and a 2026 race T-shirt are among the benefits of the race. Last Man Standing Lake Placid   July 25th, 2026 at 9:00 AM   Last Man Standing is a backyard ultra race held on the pristine, wooded trails at Mt. Hovenberg in Lake Placid, New York. Based on the original Backyard Ultra format created by Lazarus Lake, the rules are simple—but finishing is anything but. You must complete one 4.167-mile loop every hour on the hour. Finish a loop early? Great—rest, refuel, stretch, panic, question your life choices—just be back in the corral before the next bell rings. The moment you fail to start a loop on time, you’re out. Some show up to win. Most show up to find out what they’re made of. Whether your goal is 2 loops or 40, this event is about going further than you thought possible.  The Last Man Standing course is as inviting as it is challenging.
