"A Warrant to Run" is hosted by the United States Army Warrant Officer (USAWOA) Longrifle Chapter. Warrant Officers are the few technical experts in their field, making up less than three percent of the Army. Our organization is comprised of both active and retired members with the purpose to recognize Warrant Officer excellence, provide mentorship and scholarship opportunities, and to represent the professionalism/time honored history of the Warrant Officer Cohort. The run route is an intermediate cross country format with gentle to moderate rolling hills. The race only intersects near the finish line and is a loop. Awards will be presented for the top 3 finishers. This event is located at Rocky's Pub in Frankfort, KY utilizing the old Ducker's Golf Course. Get Ready for the 2026 River Rat Run 3K!Mark your calendars for May 14, 2026 — we’re returning to River View Park for an evening of fitness, fun, and community! The race kicks off at 6:00 p.m. This year will NOT be a color run — but don’t worry… we have some other fun plans in store for everyone! The River Rat Run 3K offers a great experience for runners and walkers of all levels while showcasing the beautiful riverfront scenery of Frankfort. Join us for the Funnel Cake 3K at the Capital Expo Festival. Starting promptly at 9:00 a.m., this event supports We Wanna Play, Inc., a local charity dedicated to funding sports fees for high school students. Every runner receives a funnel cake at the finish line and medals will be awarded across all age categories. Please see the attached route map for details

Join us at the Radler Rush Cross Country 5k/10k for the second race in the 2025 Central Kentucky Beer, Bourbon, and Wine Cross Country Series. Register early to take advantage of our lowest price!   The Radler Rush will feature a 5k and 10k cross-country race options on the beautiful Trails at West Sixth Farm. All participants will receive a finisher's award, and a ticket good for a 16 oz West Sixth Brewing beer of your choice post race! Hang around for music, beer sales, food trucks, and fun! Participants under 21 will receive all portions of the finisher award except for the beer ticket.  The 5k will be open to walkers, but we will enforce a cutoff pace of 16 minutes/mile for the 10k due to concerns with sunset.  *Registration Closes at Midnight 8/13/26. On Saturday August 22, 2026, DMTL Nonprofit Organization will host the Annual A Healthy KSU 3K & Health Fair. Our vision is to decrease the health disparities within and among KSU students, alumni, and the Frankfort community, bridging gaps to help achieve Health Equity! Kentucky State University alumnus and A Healthy KSU and DMTL founder Tyrie Nason Buchanan noticed a large number of his classmates and younger KSU alumni were losing their lives to health-related issues far too soon. DMTL is a 501c3 nonprofit organization focusing on health equity and mentorship and bears the initials of Buchanan’s mother and brothers whom he lost to gun violence. He made a pledge to do something to highlight healthy lifestyles while also promoting inclusivity for historically marginalized communites. A collaboration and partnership with DMTL, Kentucky State University, KSU National Alumni Association, the City of Frankfort, local hospitals, and community based organizations, was born and evolved i

Join us for a run under the stars at the Kentucky State Police Training Academy on Friday, September 18th, 2026, at 7:30 pm. The Run to Remember is a 5k fundraiser that pays tribute to the Kentucky State Police's fallen units, who have made the ultimate sacrifice. The Kentucky State Police Foundation supports the professional men and women of the Kentucky State Police by funding employee training, specialized equipment, employee support and more. Since its inception, the Kentucky State Police Foundation has provided KSP with over $450,000 to support unfunded needs, including marketing funds for recruiting new troopers, providing ballistic harnesses for the K-9 branch, employee wellness initiatives, and more. We are back for our second year of this special and fun-filled event! The Frankfort Striders present MILES for MUSIC, benefitting the Frankfort Independent School XC Teams and Second Street School PTSA. We had such a great time this year, we decided to add a 6-hour event as well as our original 12-hour event! The 12-hour event will start again at 7AM and ending at 7PM. To be considered a finisher, you must complete one mile loop every hour for a total of 12 miles (you can do more if you wish...we know you will)! For the 6-hour event, you get to choose which hour you wish to start, as long as if you must complete 6 consecutive hours before 7PM (and complete at least one mile loop per hour)!
