"A Warrant to Run" is hosted by the United States Army Warrant Officer (USAWOA) Longrifle Chapter. Warrant Officers are the few technical experts in their field, making up less than three percent of the Army. Our organization is comprised of both active and retired members with the purpose to recognize Warrant Officer excellence, provide mentorship and scholarship opportunities, and to represent the professionalism/time honored history of the Warrant Officer Cohort. The run route is an intermediate cross country format with gentle to moderate rolling hills. The race only intersects near the finish line and is a loop. Awards will be presented for the top 3 finishers. This event is located at Rocky's Pub in Frankfort, KY utilizing the old Ducker's Golf Course. Healthy Communities of Clinton County presents Stepping on Stigma 5k  In celebration of Mental Health Awareness Month, this annual 5K run/walk raises awareness for mental health in our community. This year will be our 8th time hosting this race! It is open to anyone who wants to end the silence surrounding mental health and spread the word that it's okay to not be okay. All donations and profits made will be donated to the Buck Up Foundation and other mental health organizations to give back to mental health awareness. In addition, T-shirts are available for purchase as you register, and you have the opportunity to donate directly to this cause. Not only will you get exercise at this event, but also enjoy the available vendors and prizes!    New for 2026, we are offering a kids' run for any child 12 and under. Get Ready for the 2026 River Rat Run 3K!Mark your calendars for May 14, 2026 — we’re returning to River View Park for an evening of fitness, fun, and community! The race kicks off at 6:00 p.m. This year will NOT be a color run — but don’t worry… we have some other fun plans in store for everyone! Join the 6th Annual Warrior Ruck! Starting and finishing at Frankfort VFW Post 1493, this 20-Mile Warrior Ruck is about community, remembrance, and showing up with purpose. You’re welcome to complete the full 20 miles — or choose a distance that fits your ability and comfort level. With multiple checkpoints along the route, participants can turn around at any point. Walk it, jog it, ruck it with weight, or take it one mile at a time — every step still counts. 2026 RUCK MAP (click here) Recharge Service Checkpoints will keep you fueled with bottled water, snacks, and a few spirited options along the route. Join us for the Funnel Cake 3K at the Capital Expo Festival. Starting promptly at 9:00 a.m., this event supports We Wanna Play, Inc., a local charity dedicated to funding sports fees for high school students. Every runner receives a funnel cake at the finish line and medals will be awarded across all age categories. Please see the attached route map for details

Course:                                                    The course is a 5k/3.1 mile U.S. Track & Field Certified route that takes you through the beautifully scenic Old Plank Trail and through the streets of Historic Frankfort. Water will be available on the course. Awards:                                        Awards will be given for the top overall male & female and the top finisher in each age division, male & female. Registration Fee: $25 per person until noon June 8 $35 per person after noon on June 8 until Race Day Post-Race Activities:                          After the completion of the race, stay for the awards presentation & DJ music. For the runners/walkers there will be healthy refreshments and water. The whole family are invited to attend the post-race celebration.  All items are first come and will not be replenished. Join us at the Radler Rush Cross Country 5k/10k for the second race in the 2025 Central Kentucky Beer, Bourbon, and Wine Cross Country Series. Register early to take advantage of our lowest price!   The Radler Rush will feature a 5k and 10k cross-country race options on the beautiful Trails at West Sixth Farm. All participants will receive a finisher's award, and a ticket good for a 16 oz West Sixth Brewing beer of your choice post race! Hang around for music, beer sales, food trucks, and fun! On Saturday August 22, 2026, DMTL Nonprofit Organization will host the Annual A Healthy KSU 3K & Health Fair. Our vision is to decrease the health disparities within and among KSU students, alumni, and the Frankfort community, bridging gaps to help achieve Health Equity! Kentucky State University alumnus and A Healthy KSU and DMTL founder Tyrie Nason Buchanan noticed a large number of his classmates and younger KSU alumni were losing their lives to health-related issues far too soon. DMTL is a 501c3 nonprofit organization focusing on health equity and mentorship and bears the initials of Buchanan’s mother and brothers whom he lost to gun violence. He made a pledge to do something to highlight healthy lifestyles while also promoting inclusivity for historically marginalized communites. A collaboration and partnership with DMTL, Kentucky State University, KSU National Alumni Association, the City of Frankfort, local hospitals, and community based organizations, was born and evolved i

The Run to Remember is a 5k fundraiser that pays tribute to the Kentucky State Police's fallen units, who have made the ultimate sacrifice. The Kentucky State Police Foundation supports the professional men and women of the Kentucky State Police by funding employee training, specialized equipment, employee support and more. Since its inception, the Kentucky State Police Foundation has provided KSP with over $450,000 to support unfunded needs, including marketing funds for recruiting new troopers, providing ballistic harnesses for the K-9 branch, employee wellness initiatives, and more. We are back for our second year of this special and fun-filled event! The Frankfort Striders present MILES for MUSIC, benefitting the Frankfort Independent School XC Teams and Second Street School PTSA. We had such a great time this year, we decided to add a 6-hour event as well as our original 12-hour event! The 12-hour event will start again at 7AM and ending at 7PM. To be considered a finisher, you must complete one mile loop every hour for a total of 12 miles (you can do more if you wish...we know you will)! For the 6-hour event, you get to choose which hour you wish to start, as long as if you must complete 6 consecutive hours before 7PM (and complete at least one mile loop per hour)!
