Join us for our FOURTH annual “Keyed Up 5k” walk/run on FRIDAY, April 24th, at 8pm, sponsored by the Vocal Patrons Association at GlenOak High School! Our 5k is a relaxed evening event and walkers, joggers, and runners of all ages and abilities are welcome to join us! The 2026 edition features a return of last year’s popular "GLOW MODE", powered by neon, loud colors, and your own energy and style as you run, walk, or crawl along the course starting and ending at GlenOak stadium. Back this year is the "fun run" for kids 12 and under who aren't ready to walk or run through the 5k! This year we are moving away from timing all runners, and focusing on moving, music, and celebrating our choral arts programs together.  The top 3 men and top 3 women runners will have recorded times and receive trophies, and all other participants will note their own times as they cross the finish line and join the celebration! Start at Martindale Park with a 1.5-mile kayak trip to the Middlebranch Trailhead at Spangler Ave, NE. Once you’re ashore, continue the excitement with a 2.5-mile run or walk to Gervasi Vineyard. Cap off the race with a pour of wine or a strawberry sage lemonade at the finish line and celebrate the day by enjoying the beautiful grounds of Gervasi Vineyard. Join us in making a difference!  The proceeds from this charitable race will support Cleveland Clinic Mercy Mission Outreach Food Insecurity Program.  Your contributions will help fund our biweekly outreach efforts, where prepared meals and vital health information are distributed to neighborhoods in need throughout Canton.  Together, we can provide food and hope to the homeless, children, and individuals facing food insecurity.  Every step you take helps us nourish our community and promote healthier lives for those in need.  Overall and Age Group Awards A great finisher medal and event shirt!

Find your stride as we race through the Southeast neighborhood, kicking off at the Southeast Community Playground. Join the 5k fun and walk or run to help Habitat continue its work in Southeast Canton. All are welcome for a morning of getting active and building communities together. If you have littles that don't need a race bib, bring them to walk/run with you! Register by May 5 to guarantee a Southeast Stride t-shirt.

Join us July 11th 2026 for another year of celebrating women and girls of all ages and talents. We present a full morning for us with kicking off the morning with a USATF sanctioned championship event, following a community open women's/girl only 6K run / walk combined with fun festival after your race.  The course will be SUPER fast, and this will be a very high-profile event! Elite Championship : A race for the top tier athletes, our Elite Women's 6km Championship field has entailed some the best distance runners in the world. From former marathon record holder Kiera D'Amato to bronze medalist Molly Seidel, our race has had the privilege of hosting the best. The Chase the Light 5K is a week-long virtual race that brings people together across neighborhoods, cities, and zip codes; united by movement and a shared belief that communities are strongest when the people within them are supported to lead, grow, and thrive. There's no starting line. No crowded course. Just you, your route of choice, and the knowledge that every step you take is fueling something bigger. Lace up at sunrise. Walk after dinner. Push your stroller through the park. This race meets you exactly where you are. Funds raised support IncuBrighter: a nonprofit program dedicated to empowering grassroots leaders and nonprofit startups to be fiscally stable and legally compliant. Join us for the 4th Annual AlterClinic Snip Sprint 5K & 1-Mile Walk, a fun-filled, dog-friendly fundraiser supporting affordable spay/neuter and TNR efforts in our community! Whether you're a seasoned runner or prefer a leisurely stroll, this family-friendly event is a great way to make a difference for animals in need—four-legged friends are welcome to join the fun! All participants will receive a short-sleeved t-shirt, a finisher medal, and post-race refreshments. Come Join the 5th Annual Sancta Clara Nun Run! October 18, 2025 The 5K will run through the neighboring streets, the Middlebranch trail and finally through the monastery grounds with many cheering nuns! The awards ceremony with refreshments and food will follow at St. George's reception hall. We have a shirt only option for those who cannot run or walk the course but still would like to support the Poor Clares sisters. Strollers are welcome and a free kids fun run starts at 8:40 followed by the 5K at 9:00. All proceeds will benefit The Sancta Clara Monastery & it's renovations. Join us for the 28th Anniversary of the Great Pumpkin Race!  Join us for the 28th Anniversary Great Pumpkin Race on Saturday, October 31 at the Stark County Board of Developmental Disabilities, 2950 Whipple Ave NW, Canton, OH 44708.   Our race headquarters offers inside holding areas and restroom facilities. Wheelchairs, strollers and dogs are welcome at our family friendly, inclusive event.  In addition to the road events, we have pumpkin cart racing, pumpkin decorating and the chance to Guess the Weight of the Giant Pumpkin! The Canton RUCK RUN 5K is more than a race — it’s a community-driven movement built to honor service, support local veterans, and bring people together with purpose. Whether you ruck, run, or walk, every step you take helps strengthen the lives of those who served our country and the organizations that support them right here in our community. In our inaugural year, this event sold out in just 100 days, raised $4,000 for local veterans’ service organizations, and rallied volunteers to adopt 30 local veterans’ families during the holidays — filling Christmas tree tags and collecting food and toys for the SAM Center.Year Two is about building on that momentum.
