We Are Roady Fun Run

We Are Roady Fun Run 2026 Dates: April 21 April 28 May 5 May 12  May 19 May 26  June 2 June 9 June 16 June 23 June 30 July 7 July 14 Final Award/Party  This is a free 13 week children's fun running program for the Anderson and surrounding area communities. Points are accumulated each week they are in attendance that will go towards the bike drawing.   All races are on Tuesdays at 6:00pm. We are located at the Alex Pike Park at Shadyside Park. Address is 1320 Alexandria Pike, Anderson, IN 46012. Next to the children's playground.   We offer a timed 1/4 mile race for under 5 yrs. And a 1 mile race for those who can run a mile. Parents are welcome and encouraged to run with their child either distance.   We belong to the Road Runners Club of America for our insurance program. White River Run

OVERVIEW The White River Run showcases the beautiful paved trail system in Anderson as it meanders alongside the White River. The course is mostly shaded and features the wood boardwalk, the new riverfront area, and the Blue Bridge.Presented by Anderson Road Runners Club in partnership with Community Hospital Anderson's Community Foundation program, Community in MotionAnderson Road Runners is a 501(3)c organization that promotes Running and Walking in Madison County.  ARRC provides the Roady Racers, our Free Kids Run Program in the summers.   Chip timing is provided by DINO. 4 Hour Warm Up @ Shadyside

Join us for a "For Fun Endurance Style" Race.  Clock starts at 9 am and counts down to 4 hours at 1 pm.  Individually or with a group you put together, see how many miles you knock out on our modified Shadyside course.   We are using this as an introduction/warm-up to the 8-Hour Dream Endurance Race hosted by CRRG in mid-July (https://www.8hourdream.com/).  Bring your 8-Hour team out to practice, or bring yourself and/or some friends and see what an event like this is like to participate in! We gather and setup at the Shadyside Activity Center (next to the Pickleball courts) off Alexandria Pike.  We will run our regular Shadyside course; Backwards!  We will have 2.6 mile and 1.5 mile loops available. There will be no scoring, no tracking; keep your own time and distance.  There will be one clock counting down the 4 hours until the Warm Up is over!  Anderson Road Runners will have a tent and grill setup with some food and a water and Gatorade aide station available.  Bring your

4 Hours in the Woods - Endurance Style Fun Run - Sponsored by Community In Motion

Join us for a "For Fun Endurance Style" Race.  Run or Walk as little or as much as you can in 4 hours!Thanks to our sponsors at Community Hospital Anderson's Community In Motion program, we can offer this free, just sign up here!Open course with all the beautiful trails Mounds State Park has to offer.  This is a trail event but there is a 1 mile stretch of road for anyone wanting to take a break from the dirt. The clock starts at Noon and counts down 4 hours to 4 pm. Unified Group Services Run/Walk for Cancer

The Unified Group Services Run/Walk for Cancer benefitting the Ascension St. Vincent Anderson Foundation will raise funds to support the the at Ascension St. Vincent Anderson Cancer Center.   All proceeds raised by participants and sponsors will benefit patients and families of the Cancer Center.   Sign up as an individual or participate as a team. Runners will enjoy a 5K distance course that starts and ends on the racetrack. Walkers will enjoy a furlong's length (7/8 of mile) stroll around the Harrah's Hoosier Park track. The Jumbotron will capture all participants, so invite your friends and family to attend and cheer.

Run The Mounds

OVERVIEW Enjoy a scenic trail run through Mounds State Park, along the river and by the ancient Adena Indian Mounds. You can choose a 5MI run, 5K run, or a 5K walk. A children's fun run will meet at 1:20 PM by the pool house; the fun run will start at 1:30 PM. Thanksgiving Day Turkey Run & Walk

Gobble, gobble!!! Calling all TURKEYS!Join us for our annual Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day at Shadyside Lake! Registration is online or the day of only and starts at 7:15 AM. Registration is $5 (No shirt)ALL Proceeds will go to Outfitters!  Outfitters provides new and gently used clothing to school age children in need. Last year we provided over 1100 children in Madison County with a weeks worth of clothing absolutely free.https://outfittersclothes.org/Activity Center at Shadyside Park (next to the Pickleball courts) Walkers and runners start at the same time (8 AM) Walkers complete 1 lap (approximately 2.64 miles).Runners complete 2 laps (approximately 5.28 miles). Please bring your own hydration and nutrition as water and energy will not be provided on the course. Top Male and Female Runners and Walkers will win special prizes as well as pies and other great items given out as well!
