5th Annual Run for Recovery - Anderson

5th Annual Run for Recovery - Anderson   Hosted by The Bridge Center Recovery.   ABOUT:  The Bridge Center Recovery is a treatment facility for men seeking freedom from drug and alcohol addiction. We are located on West Whitner Street in Anderson, SC. The Bridge Center has been operating since August of 2020, and has helped over 300 men in an official capacity to date.    PROCEEDS: Race proceeds go back to our Scholarship Fund to financially assist men through our program. The current cost is $4,000 for 4 months. Funds raised will tremendously benefit The Bridge Center Recovery to further its vision to eradicate addiction one addict/alcoholic at a time.   SPONSORS: Community Sponsors are vital. We Are Roady Fun Run

We Are Roady Fun Run 2026 Dates: April 21 April 28 May 5 May 12  May 19 May 26  June 2 June 9 June 16 June 23 June 30 July 7 July 14 Final Award/Party  This is a free 13 week children's fun running program for the Anderson and surrounding area communities. Points are accumulated each week they are in attendance that will go towards the bike drawing.   All races are on Tuesdays at 6:00pm. We are located at the Alex Pike Park at Shadyside Park. Address is 1320 Alexandria Pike, Anderson, IN 46012. Next to the children's playground.   We offer a timed 1/4 mile race for under 5 yrs. And a 1 mile race for those who can run a mile. Follow Me 5K and Fun Run

SpringFest and "Follow Me 5K and Fun Run" - Saturday, May 2    A 5K and Half-mile Fun Run sponsored by Trinity United Methodist Church as part of the #Trinitystrong Spring festival.  Half-mile Fun Run starts at 8:00am. 5K starts at 8:30am. Both races will be timed events.  Pancake breakfast begins at 8:30 and lasts till 10:30am. Tickets are available to purchase in advance from the church office for $8. This event will also celebrate our "75th Anniversary" as a church in Anderson at this location. OVERVIEW The White River Run showcases the beautiful paved trail system in Anderson as it meanders alongside the White River. 4 Hour Warm Up @ Shadyside

Join us for a "For Fun Endurance Style" Race.  Clock starts at 9 am and counts down to 4 hours at 1 pm.  Individually or with a group you put together, see how many miles you knock out on our modified Shadyside course.   We are using this as an introduction/warm-up to the 8-Hour Dream Endurance Race hosted by CRRG in mid-July (https://www.8hourdream.com/).  Bring your 8-Hour team out to practice, or bring yourself and/or some friends and see what an event like this is like to participate in! We gather and setup at the Shadyside Activity Center (next to the Pickleball courts) off Alexandria Pike.  We will run our regular Shadyside course; Backwards!  We will have 2.6 mile and 1.5 mile loops available. The Peoples Bank Midnight Flight

Join us on race day, August 14th, 2026 for The Peoples Bank Midnight Flight 1 mile at 8:15pm and 5k at 9pm. Packet Pick-Up: Packet pick-up will be held August 14th from noon until 15 minutes prior to each race starting. Packet pick-up will be held at the Anderson Area YMCA at the front of the building under the awning, and is a drive thru format until 5pm. After 5pm, driving through our parking lot becomes more congested, and we will switch to walk up pickup. Please check your email on race day for more information regarding packet pick up! 2nd Annual TALI Sadlers Creek Off-Road Duathlon

Whether you’re an experienced mountain biker or new to the sport, we’ve got a race you will find enjoyable and challenging. Many are familiar with triathlons competed on paved roads; however, fewer athletes have challenged themselves with an off-road duathlon. The transition area will be set up in the grassy field near the main park office. You’ll start and finish each leg of the duathlon from here. The first leg will be a 5k trail run that will wind through the trails going to the boat ramp. The trails are wide single track and should be a pleasant trail run. You’ll circle back to the transition area and get your bike for the second leg. The bike leg will enter the trail system from the beach to the left/east of the main office. Your ride will take you along the water's edge and through the woods over towards the camping area and Persimmon Beach. OVERVIEW Enjoy a scenic trail run through Mounds State Park, along the river and by the ancient Adena Indian Mounds. You can choose a 5MI run, 5K run, or a 5K walk. A children's fun run will meet at 1:20 PM by the pool house; the fun run will start at 1:30 PM. Thanksgiving Day Turkey Run & Walk

Gobble, gobble!!! Calling all TURKEYS!Join us for our annual Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day at Shadyside Lake! Registration is online or the day of only and starts at 7:15 AM. Registration is $5 (No shirt)ALL Proceeds will go to Outfitters!  Outfitters provides new and gently used clothing to school age children in need. Last year we provided over 1100 children in Madison County with a weeks worth of clothing absolutely free.https://outfittersclothes.org/Activity Center at Shadyside Park (next to the Pickleball courts) Walkers and runners start at the same time (8 AM) Walkers complete 1 lap (approximately 2.64 miles).Runners complete 2 laps (approximately 5.28 miles).
