MEDICAL/FIRST AID: Should you need medical attention at the finish line, let a volunteer know and you’ll be escorted to the ambulance located very close to the finish line. Announcements can always be made at the DJ booth as well. Any life threatening problems should call 911. WATER STOPS/PORTOS: Water and portos will be provided throughout the run roughly every 2 miles. We will provide a water bottle at the finish line AFTER the race. DO NOT get a water bottle before the race or there will not be any available to the rest of the runners. Portos will be set up in Hutchinson Square at the start/finish area. WEATHER POLICY: Races are held, rain or shine, unless Sisu Events determines that conditions are too dangerous. This will be based on a prudent decision made on race weekend or race day by Sisu Events and local law enforcement officials. If the race is canceled due to inclement weather, there will be neither refunds nor transfers. This position is consistent with USA Track & Field recommendations and with the protocol of sharing the risks associated with the sport of running. In the event of inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances, Sisu Events reserves the right to alter, cancel or eliminate any/all portions of the race. We are bringing back our Texas Tough With a Trully Tough Course in San Antonio Tx. We will be having something new and challenging for you. The Race will start at Eisenhower Park and we will be having an option where you can run a Half Marathon by yourself to challenge the hills or for those who want to split the fun and challenge you can sign up for the 3 person relay or just try yourself at the fast challenging 5k. The Des Moines Women’s Half Marathon (DSMWHM to our friends) isn’t your average running event. Race the Runways is back! Once a beloved Midcoast running tradition, this unique race returns to Brunswick Landing on Saturday, May 8, 2027, with a Half Marathon and 5K. Both courses are flat and fast, with plenty of room to settle into your pace and enjoy a course you won’t find at your average road race. For one morning, the runway belongs to the runners. (The planes will have to wait.) Whether you remember Race the Runways from years past or you’re joining us for the first time, we’re excited to bring this local favorite back. Come run with friends, train for your next race, take on a new distance, or just enjoy the novelty of running on a runway. It’s a pretty great setting for a race. Race the Runways is organized by Tedford Housing, a Brunswick-based nonprofit dedicated to empowering people to move from homelessness to home. Tedford supports neighbors across the Midcoast through several core programs: homelessness prevention and outreach, emergency shelter for adults and families, permanent supportive housing, and winter warmth services. Your participation helps make that work possible. So lace up, hit the runway, and help support a cause that matters right here in our community. Register early for the best price! The 13.1 mile course will start in the Wallis Sands State parking lot and run a clockwise loop along the seacoast and through downtown Rye, NH. Runners will exit the park, go south along Route 1A coast for several miles, turn inland and go north through the town of Rye, then hit Route 1A again and travel south along the coast to finish inside Wallis Sands State Park.
