Paula's Path 5K Walk

Harpers Ferry, WV
Paula’s Path Inc. proudly presents the Fourth Annual Paula’s Path 5K Walk! Join us as we come together to raise awareness for Metastatic Breast Cancer (MBC) and provide financial support to a local family facing the overwhelming medical costs associated with managing this, stage 4 disease. Our annual 5K Walk will be held on Saturday, October 24th from 10:00 AM–1:00 PM at Sam Michael’s Park in Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. Registration opens at 9:00 AM. Every participant will receive a Paula’s Path t‑shirt and an MBC ribbon pin, generously sponsored by our community partners. Each year, 230,000 Americans are diagnosed with breast cancer, and 6–10% of those diagnoses are metastatic, or stage 4. In the summer of 2018, Paula Grant, a mother, friend, and beloved local business owner, became part of that statistic. Her 18‑month journey was marked by courage, love, and unforgettable moments. We honor Paula’s legacy daily, and this walk stands as a tribute to her strength and to all who face MBC. Paula’s Path has raised more than $13,000 for families in need. This isn’t just a dollar amount, it’s access to more time, relief in moments of uncertainty, and hope when it’s needed most. We’ve welcomed over 130 participants who have walked with purpose, championed our mission, and carried Paula’s message far beyond the event itself. We are also deeply grateful for our generous sponsors, whose support continues every year. Through heartfelt storytelling and powerful community engagement, our message has soared over 100,000 views across social media, spreading awareness, connection, and compassion to thousands. This walk thrives because of the passion of individuals, volunteers, and sponsors. Every donation, no matter the amount, makes a meaningful impact on families affected by metastatic breast cancer. If your business is interested in sponsoring our walk please email paulaspathinc@gmail.com. We hope you’ll join us as we walk, Paula’s Path. Thank you sincerely for your support, Melissa Grant | Founder of Paula’s Path Inc.

CTX Wrestling Presents: Mats to Mud Obstacle 5K + Youth 1 Mile

Hutto, TX
OFF THE MAT. INTO THE DIRT + MUD FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF WRESTLERS. This one is for the wrestlers, the families, the runners, the competitors—and anyone ready to get outside, get a little dirty, and have some fun for a great cause. Join us for the CTX USA Wrestling Mats to Mud Obstacle 5K + Youth 1 Mile, a one-of-a-kind fundraiser supporting Central Texas USA Wrestling. Hit the dirt trails, tackle five wrestling-inspired challenges and obstacles, take on the elevation changes, embrace the natural terrain, and yes...plan to get a little muddy along the way! But this isn't just about crossing the finish line. It's an opportunity to build camaraderie, get together off the mat, challenge yourself in a different way, and have some fun while giving back to the wrestling community we love. EVERY DOLLAR FUELS CENTRAL TEXAS WRESTLING. All proceeds support the CTX USA Wrestling Scholarship Fund and club support, helping provide financial assistance to wrestlers for things like: USA Wrestling memberships/cards Wrestling shoes Tournament registration Other participation needs that help keep athletes on the mat Support for our Central Texas wrestling clubs When you run, you help another wrestler keep going. THE MATS TO MUD OBSTACLE 5K Check-In: 8:00 AM Race Start: 9:00 AM This is not your average 5K. Our trails are natural, unimproved dirt trails—meaning you can expect uneven terrain, elevation changes, rocks, roots, loose dirt, and whatever else nature has in store that day. Along the approximately 5K course, you'll encounter five wrestling-inspired physical challenges and obstacles designed to get you moving, working, laughing, and maybe talking a little trash with your friends along the way. Expect: 🤼 Wrestling-inspired challenges 🌳 Natural dirt trails ⛰️ Elevation changes 💪 Physical obstacles 🧠 A little strategy 👟 A lot of movement 🟤 A little mud 😂 A whole lot of fun The Obstacle 5K is open to anyone but is best suited for participants who are comfortable running or completing a 5K distance and taking on physical challenges along the way. Suggested age: 13+. Younger participants may participate with a parent/guardian's discretion and appropriate supervision. Come ready to challenge yourself. Leave with muddy shoes and a good story. YOUTH 1 MILE Start: 9:30 AM The Youth 1 Mile is designed for our younger athletes, ages 10 and under. A great opportunity for kids to get outside, move their bodies, experience the excitement of race day, and be part of the cause! Whether they're wrestlers or simply ready to run, all kids are welcome. THESE SHOES HAVE A STORY POST-RACE WRESTLING SHOE SWAP Don't throw those old wrestling shoes away just yet! After the race, stick around for our Wrestling Gear Swap. Bring your worn, loved, but still in good condition wrestling shoes to donate, trade, or pass along to another wrestler. Before you bring them, we encourage you to take a moment to share their story and can find THESE SHOES Cards on the trade-in table. “THESE SHOES...” Finish the sentence: These shoes... -Were my first pair. Took you to FargoWon your first tournamentWere your first pairWon a State ChampionshipCarried You through a hard season Maybe you've simply outgrown them—and now it's time for another wrestler to make their own memories in them. Write your answer down and attach it to the shoes you're donating. We want to celebrate the stories they've already carried—and send them off to help carry another wrestler forward. Because sometimes, passing something down means passing something on. THE FUN DOESN'T STOP AT THE FINISH LINE Stick around after your race and enjoy the full Mats to Mud experience! 🎵 Music 🍔 Food Trucks 🏆 Awards 🤼 Rules + Techniques Clinic 👟 Wrestling Gear Swap 🧒 Kid Zone 🧘 Recovery Zone 🛍️ Vendor Village ✨ And a few surprises along the way! Bring your wrestling family. Bring your training partners. Bring your neighbors. You don't have to be a wrestler to join us—but you'll definitely be supporting wrestlers when you do. 🏆 AWARDS More details coming soon! 📋 COURSE + SAFETY INFORMATION This event takes place on natural dirt trails at Hippo Social Club. Please understand that this is an outdoor trail event and course conditions may include: Uneven terrain Dirt and loose gravel Rocks and roots Elevation changes Mud Natural obstacles Wet or slippery conditions Physical challenges requiring strength, balance, mobility, and coordination Participants should choose the event that is appropriate for their age and physical ability. The 5K Obstacle Run is designed for participants comfortable completing approximately 3.1 miles while also navigating physical challenges along the course. Participants are encouraged to wear appropriate trail/running shoes and clothing they don't mind getting dirty. This is Mats to Mud, after all. ❤️ RUN FOR A REASON Central Texas wrestling is growing—and we want to make sure financial barriers don't keep athletes from having the opportunity to participate.
