2nd Annual AdvocaSAY 5K Walk/Run

Fort Washington, MD
Last year, we came together to Walk for Change—raising Awareness, strengthening Advocacy, and taking Action for individuals with disabilities and the families who support them. Because of your incredible support, that movement continues. This year, AdvocaSAY invites you to take the next step with us as we come together for our 2nd Annual 5K Walk/Run: “Moving for Change.” Moving for Change represents our commitment to turning advocacy into meaningful action. Every step we take symbolizes progress toward a more inclusive community where individuals with disabilities have access to the resources, opportunities, services, and support they need to thrive. We are moving for the families who are searching for answers. We are moving for parents who advocate every day for their children. We are moving for individuals with disabilities whose voices deserve to be heard. We are moving to create greater awareness, expand opportunities, and break down barriers. And we are moving to provide real support. Through AdvocaSAY, our mission goes beyond awareness. We work to help families access critical resources through grants for IEP advocacy and assistance, respite care, adaptive equipment, and other supports that can make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities and their caregivers. Every registration, every donation, every volunteer, and every step taken during our 5K helps move that mission forward. Last year, we walked for change. This year, we are MOVING for change.

Volunteers Interested in volunteering? Events like this can’t be successful without great volunteers! Sign up at the link at the top of this page and we’ll be in touch. REFUND AND TRANSFER POLICY We completely understand that plans change and athletes will sometimes be unable to compete in an event they've signed up for. We also understand that registering for one of our events is a financial investment in that race. We accept your registration funds with the full intention of putting on the promised event with the listed amenities and we use your registration funds to pay for the necessary items and services needed to host the event. With that in mind, refunds will not be provided for this event unless the event is cancelled for reasons within our control. The following are examples (but not limited to) of reasons an event might be canceled that are NOT within our control: Dangerous weather; natural disasters; pandemics; acts of terrorism; local emergencies; government mandates; and any situation creating a threat to safety of participants, volunteers, staff or bystanders. Should a registrant have an injury or other medical issue keeping them from competing in an event they've registered for, we would be happy to transfer their registration to a similar Dig Deep-owned event up to and including the same event the following season. A doctor's slip may be required as proof of injury or ailment. Failure to provide proof if requested will result in non-transfer of the event. Transferring registrations to other runners/athletes is NOT allowed. A special thank you goes out to chief jack doyle and the richland police department for keeping runners safe each year FAQ’s Can I run/walk with a stroller? Baby joggers are allowed on both the 10k and 5k course, though we ask that participants remain to the rear of the pack at start and remain considerate of other participants. Regular strollers may be used for the 5k run/walk, but again we would ask that participants pushing strollers remain to the rear of the pack at start of the race. What does “USATF Sanctioning” mean? It means that organizers have followed a process with USA Track & Field that requires creation of a safety plan and purchase of outstanding insurance covering participants, volunteers, sponsors, partners and organizers of the event. It also means that your race results will be official for scoring purposes (assuming you track that sort of thing). What happens if the event is cancelled? Will I receive a refund? If the race is cancelled for reasons Organizers can control then we will work diligently to provide a refund or transfer of registration to another event. However, cancellation due to government regulations, extreme weather or local emergency is not controlled by organizers and is not reason for reimbursement. We WILL however, attempt to push start of the race back in 30-minute increments until the emergency dissipates and it is deemed safe to race. Please read Refund and Transfer Policy above.

Gobbler 5K, 10K, & 13.1M at Kansas City, MO (45)

Kansas City, MO
US Road Running Races US Road Running races are built for runners and walkers who like friendly, low-pressure race days with just enough competition to keep things exciting. Our events are local, welcoming, and easy to jump into, whether you are chasing a PR, collecting another themed medal, working toward series points, or just getting outside with good people. Most races are small enough to feel personal but organized enough to feel official. You can expect a clear course, helpful race staff, finisher medals, results, and a relaxed community feel. Bring your fast shoes, your steady walking pace, your favorite running buddy, or your best “I signed up for this on purpose” smile. We will be glad to see you at the start line. A quick race-day note: because many US Road Running events are small local races, we normally have one or two staff members at each race. EMS is not stationed on site, and water stations are limited to the finish area at the end of each lap and at the race finish. Please plan for the weather, bring anything you may want between laps, and check in with race staff if you need help. View Race Course, Results, and Race Information on the US Road Running race page.

Cait's Walk, Run, Skip or Dance 5K

Haddon Township, NJ
Event Details: Join us Saturday, November 7th, 2026 for the 3rd annual Cait’s Walk, Run, Skip or Dance 5k to benefit the Infinite Love & Light Foundation! Participants can choose between a 5k run or a 1-mile walk. Feel free to skip or dance along the way, just as Cait would do! The 1-mile walk is pet friendly for all well-behaved pups. Before, during, and after the run/walk, please stop by our raffle basket tables to try and win some incredible prizes! All proceeds will go towards our fundraising goal. Snacks and light refreshments will also be provided. Registration will begin at 8:00am and the race/walk will start around 9:00am. Registration will be held inside the pavilion next to the Newton Lake Park Playground. All are welcome, and we look forward to seeing you there! The Foundation: The Infinite Love & Light Foundation is a non-profit created to carry on the legacy of the late Caitlin Catanella, who lost her battle with pancreatic cancer in December of 2021. Cait impacted so many with her positive energy, her "yes you can" motivational mindset, and endless desire to help others. Staying committed to Cait's core values, the Infinite Love & Light Foundation identifies local families that are currently battling cancer, and through our charity efforts, help to soften the financial burden they are experiencing and add some much needed love & light into an extremely difficult time. (501c3) This Year’s Recipient: This year, the Infinite Love and Light Foundation will be donating all proceeds raised to the O'Brien family. The O'Brien’s (Brian - Dad, Jean - Mom, Nolan – age 11, and Harry – age 8) are Cherry Hill residents and have established deep roots within the local community. They love their family time together, including anything related to soccer and traveling to various destinations, cherishing every memory they make along the way. In April of 2023, Jean and Brian noticed their son Nolan was experiencing ongoing GI issues, which were originally diagnosed as Celiac. When the symptoms did not subside, they sought further testing at CHOP to determine a more accurate diagnosis, and in late May 2023 received information that no parent is prepared to receive…Nolan had a tumor at the base of his brain known as ependymoma. Doctors were able to operate immediately and remove the tumor, with multiple rounds of radiation to follow. Due to the location of the tumor, Nolan’s speech, vision, and balance were affected. Still, with time and physical/occupational therapy, he was able to improve. For the foreseeable future, Nolan would receive routine scans and testing to monitor his condition. In October of 2025, after 2.5 years of clean scans, Nolan started experiencing new symptoms. Following testing, results showed that a brain tumor had returned to a different location, as well as tumors around the spine. When ependymoma returns and shows presence in the spine it becomes difficult to treat, but Nolan is a fighter. He has had surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible, received chemo treatments, and is participating in a clinical trial with various medications used to attack cancer cells. Nolan is taking everything in stride and continues to impress all of those around him with his courage and strength. Nolan is currently ready to begin middle school as a 6th grader. He loves playing sports, including soccer, flag football, and kickball - just to name a few – in addition to playing Dungeons and Dragons and Roblox with his friends. Nolan is very outgoing, strong, and certainly resilient. Whatever Nolan is doing, he is thoughtful in his approach and always brings great energy and enthusiasm. Please help us support Nolan and the O’Brien family so they can focus on getting Nolan back to his energic, life-loving self. With your help, we hope to soften the financial burden for their family and bring some much needed love and light into their lives during this very difficult time.

The resulting Battles of Saratoga are considered to be sparks that precipitated a turning point in the war and to eventual victory for the Americans. Gem of the Highlands 5K

Norwood, OH
This is a celebration of everything that makes Norwood a true gem! Join your neighbors on November 7, 2026 to run or walk through some of our favorite streets in the beautiful presidential district of Norwood. Sponsorships help fund the race, along with improvements across Norwood Park System. To date, we've donated nearly $105K and hope to raise over $50K this year to increase community impact. 100% of proceeds will always go back to municipal needs and initiatives that benefit the community, with a focus on Norwood parks. Gem of the Highlands 5K first project was $16,000 to the basketball court restoration at Waterworks Park. As a completely volunteer-led organization, we will continue to focus our proceeds and donations on improving Norwood parks again this year. Just as important, we believe we created an event that residents and businesses can unite around with civic pride!

Dr. O Memorial 5K Walk/Run

Lewis Center, OH
Join us on Saturday, November 7, 2026, for the 3rd annual Memorial 3.1-mile (5K) run and 1-mile walk in honor of the legacy of Dr. John (Jack) O'Handley. Affectionately known as "Dr. O", Jack was the Medical Director of the Mount Carmel Street Medicine program for 25+ years, where he was a beloved physician, teacher, mentor, and friend to all. Dr. O was known by his patients to be a compassionate, loving, and gentle doctor, who loved a good corny joke. Dr. O practiced what he preached in living a very healthy lifestyle. He ran a 5K nearly every weekend with fellow colleagues, students, and friends, inspiring many to lead a more active life. The Street Medicine program provides no-cost medical care to individuals who are uninsured or underinsured. The mobile medical coach is accessible at nine locations across central Ohio and provides urgent care services for acute illness, infections, wounds, and unmanaged chronic disorders. Patients can also receive assistance with social needs such as food resources, specialty appointments, and connection to primary care. Three days a week, medical teams take to the streets, literally, bringing medical care to individuals living outside. The Street Medicine program has been in operation for forty years, reducing access barriers for those who are underserved. The Street Medicine program logs over 4,000 patient encounters annually. Proceeds from the race will support medical care provided in the community on behalf of the Street Medicine program. On the day of the race, the Street Medicine team will be collecting needed items that can be given a new life with patients. Good condition hoodies, athletic pants, and tennis shoes are needed for both men and women. Those bringing items to donate will be entered into a raffle drawing.
