Whether you’re aiming for a personal best or simply enjoying the course with friends and loved ones, this event celebrates participation, perseverance, and community. 10K Team Predication Challenge Are you the person that locks into pacing? Time to prove it. Grab 3–5 of your favorite runners and create a team. Guys, girls, mixed teams, it doesn't matter. Fast runners, first-time runners, or any combination in between. Run together, split up, race hard, or enjoy the course side-by-side. Every strategy is fair game! Here's the twist: before the race, your team predicts your combined average finish time. Then, your mission is to run as close to that predicted average as possible. Sounds easy? Not so fast. No watches. No finish clock. No cheating. We'll even give you a wristband to cover your watch so you won't be tempted to peek... but don't worry, it'll still upload to Strava afterward. This isn't about who has the fastest team—it's about who knows their pace the best. Can you judge your effort over the rolling hills and terrain of a cross country 10K without any feedback? Every hill, every downhill, every decision matters. Whether you've been running for two weeks or two decades, this is a completely different kind of challenge. Experience helps, but so does teamwork, communication, and a little bit of intuition. Challenge your team. Inspire your community. Finish strong—together! Come out, get active, and be part of an event that promotes healthy living, community engagement, and fun for everyone. Lace up your shoes, bring your team, and let’s make this year’s race our biggest and best yet! Lace Up, Show Up, Hustle

5K Run / Walk for Clean Water

Salisbury, NC
Why Water? The global water crisis doesn’t always make headlines. But the truth is that it claims more lives each year than war. Globally, 1.8 billion people – that’s about one out of every four people – drink from contaminated water sources. Unsafe water leads to illnesses that claim the lives of 840,000 people each year, almost half of whom are children under the age of five. What’s more, women and children spend hours each day collecting water. This keeps them from school, work, and time with family. This keeps families and communities from learning, earning an income, and contributing to the local economy. All proceeds from the race will benefit the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) Global Water Ministry. Race Course (see course map below): Runners and walkers will enjoy a 3.1 mile road course starting from Grace Lutheran Church parking lot and turning into the gently rolling neighborhood of Grace Ridge to loop through all three neighborhood phases of Grace Ridge. It's an opportunity to carry forward a legacy of service. On February 10, 2015, Deah Barakat, Yusor Abu-Salha, and Razan Abu-Salha were tragically killed in Chapel Hill. Though their lives were cut short, they left behind an extraordinary example of compassion, community service, and a commitment to improving the lives of others. Deah and Yusor had planned to dedicate their dental careers to serving underserved communities and providing care to refugees, while all three were deeply involved in volunteerism and humanitarian work. Today, that legacy lives on through initiatives like the DYOR Clinic, which provides free dental care to refugees, uninsured individuals, and families with limited access to care. By participating in the 3 Winners 5K, you are helping ensure that their vision of service continues to make a tangible impact in our community. Every registration and donation directly supports the DYOR Clinic's mission of expanding access to compassionate, high-quality healthcare for those who need it most. Whether you're chasing a personal record, walking with friends and family, or simply coming to support a meaningful cause, every step taken on race day helps honor the lives and values of Deah Barakat, Yusor Abu-Salha, and Razan Abu-Salha. Run with purpose. Remember through service. Continue their legacy.
