UAB Veterans Day 5K presented by Viva Health

Birmingham, AL
Race Details Join us on Saturday, November 14, 2026, for the 4th Annual UAB Veterans Day 5K presented by Viva Health at Railroad Park — a community event dedicated to honoring those who have served and supporting the next generation of military-connected students. Since launching in 2023, this event has grown into one of Birmingham's most meaningful Veterans Day traditions. Last year alone, more than 1,100 participants and 100 volunteers showed up to make a difference and because of this community's support, we've granted over $22,000 in emergency funding to military-connected students since 2023, helping cover housing insecurity, unexpected expenses, and the everyday costs of earning a degree. This year, we're continuing that mission with even greater purpose, and we want you to be part of it. Whether you're a runner, walker, rucker, or wheelchair racer, there's a place for you at the starting line. Not local or can't make the date? Join us virtually — our

Holiday 5K & 10K at Trussville, AL (51)

Trussville, AL
US Road Running Races US Road Running races are built for runners and walkers who like friendly, low-pressure race days with just enough competition to keep things exciting. Our events are local, welcoming, and easy to jump into, whether you are chasing a PR, collecting another themed medal, working toward series points, or just getting outside with good people. Most races are small enough to feel personal but organized enough to feel official. You can expect a clear course, helpful race staff, finisher medals, results, and a relaxed community feel. Bring your fast shoes, your steady walking pace, your favorite running buddy, or your best “I signed up for this on purpose” smile. We will be glad to see you at the start line. A quick race-day note: because many US Road Running events are small local races, we normally have one or two staff members at each race. EMS is not stationed on site, and water stations are limited to the finish area at the end of each lap and at the race finish. P
