This is an out and back Run / Walk 5K / 10K course at the Pompano Air Park!  Park at the South End of the Galuppi's Parking Lot. We will have a finish line clock at the end, each participant will received a club T-Shirt, Finisher Medal and Signature bib.  If you are a walker doing the 10K, back up your start timed to finish by 9 AM.  Packet Pick up is at Runners Depot Davie & Fort Lauderdale Starting on Monday Nov 17th and closing on Friday  November 21st at noon. #HonorMark: The purpose of the #HonorMark initiative is to carry on a local hero’s legacy of service and sacrifice by giving back to the community he served through charitable donations.  Mark Edward Hummeldorf served our nation in the armed forces with the Marine Corps for 4 years and as a firefighter/paramedic for Southside Fire and EMS, Bryan County Emergency Services, Savannah Fire Rescue, and Parris Island Fire Rescue. During his time in the Marine Corps, Mark was awarded the Purple Heart for his bravery, which he also exemplified daily in his actions as a first responder. Unfortunately, our community lost this hero on November 22, 2017 when Mark was tragically taken from us at the young age of 33; he left behind his beautiful wife and two wonderful children. Call to action: Mark’s enthusiastic attitude and service before self would want us to put our running shoes on and join his family for our 9th annual event. The 10th Annual Holly Springs Half Marathon brings you race distances of Half Marathon, 10k & 5k.  Whether you are a seasoned runner or hoping to complete your first distance race, you’ll absolutely love these course options. It offers a little bit of everything…from rolling hills to fast flats…from open neighborhood roads to greenways and down Main Street. Enjoy a moderately challenging run through some of the highlights of Gadsden. The run starts and ends at Back Forty Beer Company. The half marathon and 10k will begin at 7:30am, the 5k begin at 8:00am.  All information and updates will be emailed to participants, please provide a valid email address during registration.  T-shirt deadline is October 27th.  This event benefits The United Way of Etowah County and other local charities.   PACKET PICKUP will be Friday, November 21st from 5pm-7pm at Back Forty Beer Company - Gadsden.        Packet pickup is offered the morning of the race from 6:30am-7:00am.   Half Marathon participants will receive a custom medal when they cross the finish line.  Age group awards will be given. 10k & 5k age group winners will receive custom medals.

Run across the Tennessee River on historic Wilson Dam and return on the Singing River Bridge. Course USATF Certified 10K Course: AL16012JE The 10K course begins at the Marriott Shoals Conference Center in Florence, AL, and proceeds across Wilson Dam and then onto a portion of the paved TVA nature trail. It continues back across the Tennessee River via the pedestrian walkway on the Singing River Bridge, and then a short distance through a residential area to the finish back at the conference center. There will be a 90-minute time limit to complete the course. Please do not enter if you cannot maintain at least a 14:30 pace per mile. Due to courseconstraints there will be no wheelchair division. Baby joggers, strollers, and animalswill not be allowed on the course.
