Aloha Friends of Hale Kau Kau, Hale Kau Kau delivers 115 meals to the homebound elderly and disabled each day and serves a hot meal to anyone who comes by the kitchen at dinner time, currently we are serving about 40-80 complete hot meals from the kitchen each evening; thus Hale Kau Kau prepares and delivers/serves over 150 meals every day of the year. . In order to continue to feed those who are hungry, we must rely on the generosity of our many supporters. Race shore to shore across beautiful Maui. As you run from Kahului Harbor to Ma'alaea Harbor through the central valley, you'll enjoy mountain views of Haleakalā and Mauna Kahālāwai to either side. The event is a 15K for individuals or a 5K for each member of a three-person relay team. *Note - if you are registering for a relay team, you must have all teammates' information at the time of registration (first/last name, birthdate, phone number, address, email, shirt size). Come join this event as it makes it's return to Maui!! Parking info: Temporary parking will be available near the start line for participant drop-off. It will be located at the Kanaloa Ave. entrance of Keopuolani Park. 15K participants should plan to be dropped off and meet their ride at the finish line (Ma'alaea Harbor) or stage a car at the finish and carpool with a relay team to the start. PŌHAKU X PENA Challenge November 28 | Lanikai, Oʻahu A Challenge with Purpose The PŌHAKU X PENA Challenge honors Hopena “Pena” Pokipala and Seth “Pōhaku” Stone—two friends whose strength, generosity, and aloha continue to inspire the people around them. Hopena began dreaming up this race with his brothers as a way to honor his mentor, Seth. His vision was to create a challenge that would test the body, bring people together, and encourage the next generation. Today, that vision lives on through a run, swim, and paddle that celebrates both men and the way they lived. Whether you race on your own, share the course with a relay, or tackle every leg alongside your team, you are helping carry forward their legacy: show up for one another, give your best, and pay it forward. Choose Your Division Solo Take on all three disciplines—run, swim, and paddle—from start to finish. Challenge yourself, find your rhythm, and see what you can accomplish. Relay Share the challenge with teammates, with each person completing one discipline. Each leg contributes to a shared finish, making this a chance to compete together and cheer one another on. Team Complete the entire course together. Every team member takes on the run, swim, and paddle, supporting one another through each leg and crossing the finish line as a group. Leg 1: Run Start at the flags and follow a route approximately the length of the Lanikai Loop. At the end of the run, pass back through the starting area, continue down the driveway, and follow the route through Hopena’s yard to the beach. Leg 2: Swim — approximately 700 yards Enter the water and make your way to the designated starting buoy. Follow the marked swim course, returning to the same buoy, then exit the water and head to your watercraft for the paddle. Leg 3: Paddle — distance TBD Launch your watercraft and follow the buoy-marked paddle course. The finish line will be marked at Hopena’s canoe. Final route details and the paddle distance will be shared before race day. Parking & Respect for the Neighborhood Parking will be available at Lanikai Park. Please use designated parking areas, follow posted restrictions, and keep driveways and access routes clear. Help us care for the neighborhood and shoreline by picking up after yourself, disposing of rubbish properly, and leaving the beach and park clean. The 2026 Hawaii Kai Ultra Run will be held on December 19 & 20, 2026 (Saturday & Sunday); the weekend after the Honolulu Marathon (12/13/2026). The CHECK-IN and START/FINISH is at Kalama Valley Park located at 555 Kealahou St. in Hawaii Kai near Sandy Beach. The Jingle Bell Beach Run is a great way to kick off Christmas week with a bang - with a primary focus on "family fun". The event has quickly become a local favorite with outstanding awards and the much-anticipated "costume contest". The 5k event starts and finishes at the beautiful Coconut Grove Marketplace in downtown Kailua-Kona along the legendary Ali'i Drive, made famous by many of the world's greatest triathletes.

The annual Hilo to Volcano 50K Run/Walk/Relay is on Saturday January 9, 2027. Hilo to Volcano 50K ultra and team relay is a challenging 31 mile run gaining approximately 4000 feet in elevation. It is challenging, an excellent accomplishment……………and super fun as a relay😊 The start will be at the underground parking lot of the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel on Banyan Drive, Hilo (same as last year). Solo Runners AND Relay Team Runners: Start is at 6:00 am. This course utilizes shoulders on Hwy 11 and finishes at the Cooper Center in Volcano. Relay teams change runners every 2 miles at the even mile markers. There are no aid stations along the course, so runners are encouraged to bring their own water and nourishment. A light lunch, snacks, drinks and medals at the end. Prizes for Solo Runners: Top 3 Female and Male runners overall, Top 2 Female and Male runners in each 10 year age group. Prizes for Relay Teams with no more than 3 Runners: Top 2 Female, Male and Mixed relay teams up to 40 years, Top 2 Female, Male and Mixed “Masters” relay teams over 40 years (all members must be over 40 years old). LavaKids Aquathon is a swim/run event on the Saturday before the Lavaman Triathlon. It takes place in a protected lagoon at the Hilton Waikoloa Beach Resort. Short course for ages 7-10: 100 meter swim, 1k run. Long course for ages 11 - 14: 200 meter swim, 2k run. Keiki Dash is a 1k run for kids 6 and under. Lavakids is an 501c3 nonprofit organization. All event revenue goes to support youth development in sport in the local communities of Hawaii Island.

The 28th Annual Lavaman Triathlon consists of a 1.5K Swim, 40K Bike and a 10K Run. The Duathlon consists of a 1k run, 40k bike and 10k run. The Aquabike consists of a 1.5k swim and 40k bike. Lavaman takes place in beautiful Anaeho’omalu Bay, the Queen Ka'ahumanu Highway and on the grounds of the Waikoloa Beach Resort on the Big Island of Hawaii, with a beautiful beach finish and the "best party in triathlon.

Kaylan's Warrior Fun Run is held in honor of Kaylan Haywood. She was diagnosed with DIPG (Diffused Intrusive Pontine Glioma) a brain tumor in the brain stem. She was an active, fun loving, caring 11 yr old full of life. Her wish was for our Ohana to be there for other Ohana's effected by DIPG and Childhood Brain Cancer. So we founded Kaylan Strong's Fight Like A Warrior Foundation to help Ohana's here in Hawaii. Kaylan's Warrior Fun Run is here to raise money for these Ohana's to help financially through the hardest time in their life.
