Come join us on May 24th, 2026 for the 5k Meowathon a benefit for Colony Cats! Race begins and ends on the multi-use paths west of the Dublin Community Recreation Center. All proceeds go to Colony Cats -- an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose primary mission is to address cat overpopulation in central Ohio through public awareness and spay/neuter efforts. Since 2002, their organization has facilitated spay/neuter of nearly 33,000 cats and dogs and placed more than 23,000 pets in homes. Through Colony Cats' humane, non-lethal programs, homeless cats can have the decent, healthy quality of life they deserve and better co-exist with their feline and human neighbors. Sign up for the Field of Heroes 5K Run/Walk for an active and alternative way to honor your heroes in a unique and breathtaking setting. 30th Annual Mosquito Lake Chase 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk Maplewood High School - Mecca, OH  9:00 am-Memorial Day, Monday, May 25th, 2026 Proceeds from the Mosquito Lake Chase are dedicated to the Oscar Grant Scholarship Fund and other Maplewood Running Rockets activities. Please join us for the 54th running of the UACA Memorial Day Run on Monday, May 25, 2026. This year, we are bringing back an option for a 5-mile run (well, almost, at 4.9 miles).  There will still be the same 5K and 1-mile courses everyone has enjoyed the last few years.  The courses race through the crowd filled and fast streets of Upper Arlington providing a great experience for serious and casual runners alike. This will be a 5K race through the trails of the Norma Johnson Center located outside of Dover Ohio.  Parking for the event, registration, check in, awards ceremony will all take place at the Yellowbrick on 39, an adjoining community business.  Check in and day of registrations for the race will be from 8am to 9:15am.  There will be a table located near the stage and barn at our host venue Yellowbrick on 39.  Racers will walk a short distance to the starting line at the Norma Johnson Center Preservation Kiosk near the yellow barn.  Racers should be at race starting line no later than 9:20am.  The race will begin at 9:30am.  The course will be mostly grass with some mulched, rooted or dirt areas. The terrain will be flat, a few steps, on a grade or up and down hills. Each year “Johnny’s Run” is conducted in the memory of Spc. John J. Kovach to benefit charities that help others in need.  Johnny’s life, cut tragically short  , was one marked with a zest for life and service to others.  Johnny’s giving spirit lives on, through and beyond the lives he touched, with the charity raised at the event named in his honor.  This is our 16th annual run and we would love it if you came out and honored Johnny and raised money for a great cause. The bike course is flat through the country roads of Whitehouse and the run course is contained on the Wabash-Cannonball Bike Trail. An easy, 9 mile ride through South Toledo and Maumee, suitable for most ability levels. 21 mile route into Monclova with a little more character to the elevation... Both routes will, at times, be on open roads with automobile traffic. Ebeid Children's Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). It was started by two parents who`s daughter Poppy, had a NICU stay last June. While there they were loved on by many friends and family, but what they realized was not every set of parents have the same support system. They designed Poppy`s Purpose to love on all parents while their child is staying in the NICU.

Wood County Board of Developmental Disabilities Levy Committee is excited to announce its CommUNITY Run, Walk, and Roll 5K event at Wood County Fairgrounds! Cheddar Challenge 2026 The Cheddar Challenge 5K is back at Young's Jersey Dairy! Our herd of runners and walkers will enjoy a scenic course on the farmland around Young’s Jersey Dairy, including a loop in the Young’s Christmas Tree Farm and a path through our original barn built in 1869. This 3.1 mile run is suited for runners and walkers at all levels. After the race, participants can enjoy the Young's Farmstead.  All participants signed up by May 16 will receive a t-shirt and all finishers. Miles for Mighty Kids is more than a walk — it’s a gathering of community. Hosted by The Ayla Foundation and Maddie’s Mission, this Warrior Walk brings families together in honor of the brave children who are fighting — and who have fought — pediatric brain cancer.  All proceeds will be directed to The Ayla Foundation, where 100% of funds raised support pediatric brain cancer research and provide direct assistance to families facing treatment-related travel and care costs. As a department of the Geauga County Board of Commissioners, we provide essential services to support children and families in our community, including raising awareness for the need for foster parents. 58:12 Rescue is a shelter in Holmes County, Ohio for women and children who have been victims of domestic violence. Since 2014, we have helped over 500 women and children. Our team works with each resident to customize a support plan to ensure progress toward healing, goal setting, and appropriate outcomes. Residents receive meals, clothes, care, mentoring, counseling, and emotional support. Donations from our Run for Rescue will be used to help pay counseling fees for our residents, as well as cover operational expenses. You must register on or before Thursday May 7 to receive an event T-shirt. No event T-shirts will be available after May 7.
