This year we will have a race check-in table setup for every participant to come and confirm their registration and receive their Tee shirt on site. TCTC Summer Track Series

The Summer Track Series meets at the Bob Sosnik Track @ Hanes Park in Winston-Salem. All of the meets start at 6:00 PM. There is no entry fee. You may run as many events as you like. This is a great tune-up for the TCTC Ultimate Runner event -- which is held on the fourth Saturday in June (and is limited to about 100 entrants). These events are for runners of all abilities and ages. If you don't want to run, come out and socialize with the other spectators and help with finish line timing and race officiating. We will have a digital clock set up, but there will be no official timekeeping or records kept. There will be multiple heats per event as needed, based on runners of similar ability. The 100 meters will be run in lanes, and the 2 mile XC will be one heat. Once entirely cleared for timber and farmland, the mountains were designated a U.S. National Forest in 1961. Uwharrie 5 Hour Adventure Race (Boat & Hike )

Morrow Mountain State Park, North Carolina. Shelter in the upper parking lot.   Disciplines: Hiking (5-7 miles), and Paddle (3-6 miles)   This adventure race is designed to help the folks new to adventure racing get their feet wet in the sport and to challenge veteran racers who have limited time to race.   Racers will hike and paddle to collect a series of checkpoints. Race pace for an adventure racer is around 4-5 miles an hour. Racers will use pre-plotted CalTopo maps to navigate to check points while paddling and running/trekking through the state park. You can compete as a team or solo. The team of 2-4 must complete all task together, no more than 100 feet apart at any given time unless specifically identified by the race director. Disciplines: Hiking (5-7 miles), and Biking (3-6 miles) This adventure race is designed to help the folks new to adventure racing get their feet wet in the sport and to challenge veteran racers who have limited time to race. Racers will hike and bike to collect a series of checkpoints. Race pace for an adventure racer is around 4-5 miles an hour. Racers will use pre-plotted CalTopo maps to navigate to check points while biking and running/trekking through the state park. You can compete as a team or solo. The team of 2-4 must complete all task together, no more than 100 yards apart at any given time unless specifically identified by the race director. JJ's Journey for a Cause

Brought to you by the Spindale Burrito League! How many times can you run a 0.34 mile segment? How about if the time to complete gets shorter and shorter by the hour? This race will be a modified version of a last man standing style race. For the first hour, you will run the segment every 6 minutes. That time will reduce by 1 minute each hour.
