We are celebrating the 29th annual Muskie 5k.  This longstanding event supports Jamestown Students for Charity Club, which helps many students in the Jamestown Area School District, using its funds to help those in our community in need.  The weeknight race runs through Pymatuning State Park in Jamestown, PA.  This unique course runs across the Pymatuning Dam,  offering picturesque views of the reservoir and park.  Handmade wooden muskie trophies will be given to the overall winners male and female and the top 3 finishers male and female in each age bracket. *New for this year!!!  1/2 mile kids race ($5 entry fee)

11th Annual Hummelstown Hunger Run

The Waverly Waddle

The Waverly Waddle is the Comm’s annual 5k Run/2 Mile Walk beginning and ending at the Waverly Community House. The “Waddle” travels an approximate 3-mile route through scenic Waverly. It takes place each year in May on the Saturday of Mother’s Day weekend. It is an official electronic chip-timed race with awards given out to top finishers in each age/sex division. In Memory of Lisa Napoletano Lisa Napoletano was a Freshman at Marian and a member of the Cross Country and Track and Field teams. Early March, she was involved in an unfortunate ATV accident and passed away from her injuries. The Marian Community, Cross Country Team, and Track and Field Team was blessed to know her and have her in our lives, even for such a short period of time. Part of this event is dedicated to her memory and the impact she had on her school and her teams. In order to honor her, her family has set up a scholarship fund and non-profit organization "Lisa Napoletano-Running with the Angels" honoring her memory that is awarded to a member of the Cross Country Team, Track and Field Team, or is active in Snowboarding and that display strong team spirit and values academics. We are all ready to get outside to start training for the summer race season. Part of that is starting our open water swim program.  If you want any coaching at these clinics, please contact us so we can make arrangements to have a coach work with you.  Watch for our clinic nights where you can learn from our coaches in a small group setting.  All swims are monitored open water swims with swim buoys, lifeguards, kayakers to watch swimmers and help them become better in open water swims for their upcoming races. 1-2 Lifeguards certified in open water swimming present at each event. These lifeguards are open water swim certified. Additional kayakers on the water each Monday night and weekend clinic to patrol for safety. We are always looking for volunteers to kayak for these.
