Race Purpose:            Benefiting the Peter Kienzle Fighting Back Scholarship Fund This is the 4th Annual STOGA Girls Lax 5K & 1 Mile Walk, hosted by the Conestoga Girls Lacrosse Program.  Our program’s goal is to give back to the community.  The STOGA Girls Lax 5K & 1 Mile Walk will raise money for the Peter Kienzle Fund of the Fighting Back Scholarship Program  This is an organization based in Malvern that assists individuals recovering from a life-changing illness or injury, and who are without the finances needed to participate in a rehabilitative exercise program.  We have raised over $75,000 for the Fighting Back Scholarship Program over the past three years. The Brian Demchak Hope Challenge is a fundraiser that you participate in at your convenience with people or pets you enjoy while filling in the gaps with hope for patients and employees at St. Margaret. No crowds, no traffic, no parking, no restroom lines, no 6:00 am alarm. Choose a fitness challenge that works with your routine anytime from May 10 through May 16, 2026. Run, walk, or bike a 5k, challenge yourself to 10 push-ups a day, beat your friends in a pickleball match, you choose! Brian Demchak loved participating in a 5k, and he loved doing it with someone he loved - his mom. We are all ready to get outside to start training for the summer race season. Part of that is starting our open water swim program.  If you want any coaching at these clinics, please contact us so we can make arrangements to have a coach work with you.  Watch for our clinic nights where you can learn from our coaches in a small group setting.  All swims are monitored open water swims with swim buoys, lifeguards, kayakers to watch swimmers and help them become better in open water swims for their upcoming races. 1-2 Lifeguards certified in open water swimming present at each event. These lifeguards are open water swim certified. Additional kayakers on the water each Monday night and weekend clinic to patrol for safety. We are always looking for volunteers to kayak for these. We do trade kayaking for free swimming! Swimmers must be a USAT Member or purchase a 1 day membership for the swims and clinics. This is our insurance and is required. We are excited to be back at French Creek State Park for our 14th edition of the French Creek Triathlon! Make it a family weekend... NOM-York’s 5K was created to raise funds to support our mission – to provide awareness, education and support to those affected by substance use disorder and addiction – as well as to provide a gathering opportunity for the recovery community. At our event, we remember those we have lost to addiction and honor those fighting for recovery.  Our 5K is not like others. It is not a highly competitive event. Although we do our best, we sometimes start the race a little late, and we have hiccups along the way. If you are a serious runner, this may not be the event for you.

Tim's House for First Responders was founded in 2018 by Meaghan Valesky, who lost her father to suicide. He was a firefighter and paramedic who fought the silent battle of mental health. Since his passing, Meaghan has been working tirelessly to put an end to the stigma and lower the suicide rate. Through the various fundraisers that the organization does each year, Tim's House gives ALL money back to the first responder to help cover medication, hospitalizations, mental health evaluations, bills, and so much more.  For Mental Health Awareness Month, Tim's House will be doing their very first 5K Run/Walk. The second annual Central Bucks Kids Run will be held on Saturday, May 16th, at Central Bucks High School South. This is a KIDS ONLY event open to all kindergarten through sixth graders. This is a FUN, all-inclusive, kids-only event where students of all ability levels are encouraged to run, jog, and walk with their peers to enjoy a GREAT day of racing. The run will take place completely on the closed grounds of Central Bucks High School South where students will run on the parking lot and driveways.  Students from all fifteen elementary schools will be competing in this event, therefore students will be grouped based on their current grade level.  All participants will earn a HUGE CB Kids Run medal for completing the race.  Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in each grade level. The 13th Annual North Penn IRONKnights Elementary Triathlon is open only to North Penn Elementary students! Race divisions include grade K, grades 1 and 2, grades 3 and 4, and grades 5 and 6. On Saturday, May 16, 2026, the Scott Laird Hometown Heroes Scholarship Team will host a special 5K Walk/Run fundraiser in memory of Major Scott Laird, Bronze Star recipient, and Lackawanna Trail alumni. A proud resident of Dalton, PA, Scott joined the army after graduating high school and served two distinguished tours of duty in Iraq and Kuwait. During his time in the military, Scott dreamed of the day he could return home to NEPA and begin building his future with his family, all the while giving back to the community he loved most. 100% of the proceeds from this 5K will be donated to The Hometown Heroes Scholarship. Established in 2021 in Scott’s honor, this scholarship aids future heroes in the community as they realize their own dreams, whether that be through military service, higher education, or a variety of honorable paths. ABOUT BRAD SCHOENER Brad Schoener was a music director in the Upper Darby School District for 25 years. He lost a courageous battle to leiomyosarcoma cancer in 2009, but not before having an incredibly positive impact on the lives of countless students, colleagues, and friends. Brad was loved wherever he went and helped mold the future paths of thousands of children through his passion for music and his ability to bring out that passion in his students.    THE BRAD SCHOENER FUND Proceeds from the 5K Run support the Brad Schoener Memorial Music Fund and its MusicMan Academy programs. The mission of Brad's Fund is to support the musical abilities and aspirations of instrumental music students in the Upper Darby School District through the funding of instruments, instruction, and experiences for interested and talented students who might not otherwise have the opportunities due to personal circumstances. This cycling, running, and walking event raises money to fund pancreatic cancer research, awareness, and advocacy efforts, with an emphasis on progressive research programs and initiatives. It is held in May each year. It is a rain-or-shine event and is designed to appeal to individuals and families ranging from casual and recreational walkers/runners/cyclists to avid runners and cyclists.  Your support, participation, and contributions fund pancreatic cancer research and treatment and assist in working towards finding a cure for this deadly disease. In the United States, a person dies by suicide every 12.3 minutes. That is 132 people per day and half a million people per year. Luzerne County made up 54 of those deaths in 2024. It is also the leading cause of death among young people aged 10-24. To address some of these statistics, the Friends of Rachel Club is excited to announce our 2nd Annual Suicide Prevention and Awareness Race. This event is a pivotal part of our mission to raise awareness about suicide prevention, promote mental health, and foster a supportive community for those affected by suicide. What is a Tunnel To Towers Run & Walk?The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers. Honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty! Climb Pocono - To End Cancer  Last year we hosted our first annual Climb To Conquer Cancer Pocono event. Our 3 mile endurance hiking event took you from Camelback Resorts to Big Pocono State Park. Highlights included: Instagram influencer Kim.Hiked.It joined us with a team of other local influencers in the area. A challenge of hiking up to PA state park, Big Pocono.A fun reward at Hike Fest! After your hike you relaxed with live music, food and beverage, local community partners, our CLIMB sign and a stunning view at Camelback's Summit House.   This year we have updated our name. This change has been made to honor the Indigenous People that once lived on our park lands. The word "conquer" held some negativity towards these people.

This unique trail race starts and finishes at Drake Well Museum and Park in Titusville, PA utilizing the Gerard Hiking Trail in Oil Creek State Park.
