Come join us on Saturday, May 9th 2026 for Just a Pair of Shoes' 4th Annual 5K run or walk to spread awareness and raise money for kids in the Dayton area.  Runner check in and day-of registration will begin at 9:30AM and conclude at 10:45AM. The check-in will be inside Southern Ohio Brewery. 100% of race proceeds will impact kids in the local area. The course is on the Beavercreek bike path. Top male and female runners will receive a custom one of a kind trophy in each age group. Join us for the memory walk in Downtown Newark. This walk is to bring awareness to those that have died due to substance use disorder, those that are still struggling and our unsheltered population.  Feel free to bring a sign to carry on this walk or a pair of shoes that you would like to carry to represent your loved one. Ohio CAN/Newark Homeless Outreach strives to educate, embrace and empower those whose lives are affected by substance use disorder and their families. Mega WILD 5k: Saturday May 9, 2026 The Mega WILD 5k started as a way to raise funds to send children to our Christ centered summer camps but has since evolved to provide funds for mission trips for the Youth in our community. McConnell 5K Course Records Male: James Zeuch  15:37.60 (2017)Female: Julia Harris  18:35.20 (2025) The 15th Annual McConnell 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Walk fundraiser, benefiting the OhioHealth Foundation, will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, on the McConnell Heart Health Center campus. This race takes place on a combination of paved road surfaces and a beautiful, partially-wooded looped trail on the OhioHealth McConnell Heart Health Center property. The 5K course is mostly flat, with one or two hills. The 1-Mile Walk event will start at 8:30am followed by the 5K Walk/Run event at 9:00am. The first half of the 5K course is on roads and a loop of the front parking lot, and the second half on the beautiful trail around the McConnell campus. The wooded trail has rolling hills and one challenging incline.

The RELAY CHALLENGE is a community event for 6-12 grade students of Sylvania and Sylvania Township to participate in a unique and memorable experience. The Relay will include as many as 20 teams, made up of ten (10) members each.  Each participant will run or walk at least one mile at a time, then pass the timing chip to the next member, and so on.  This process will continue for the entire event. Clocktower is back for year 6!!!! This is a fast out and back course that will start at Coventry High School, take you down Portage Lakes Drive, almost to the Clocktower, a quick jaunt through a neighborhood, and then back down to the high school. There will be prizes, awards, awesome medals, and most importantly; FUN!!! This race supports the Coventry Cross Country Team and the proceeds from this race will help send them to XC camp this summer and will buy them new shoes and spikes this fall! Our 2026 Spring 5k, which will be held at in downtown Rossford, OH on May 9th. It is the culmination of our Girls on the Run of Northwest Ohio Spring season. All of our participants will be competing in the 5k along with their family and friends. The community is encouraged to join in the fun as well!

Join the Coffman YMCA and Milano’s as they host the Coffman YMCA Sprint Triathlon with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit Annual Campaign. This race is great for the novice but also challenging enough for the more seasoned triathlete. The triathlon will begin and end at the Coffman Y.    Course Description Start with a 300 yd swim that will take place in the pool.  It will be a serpentine swim. Swimmers will enter pool with chip timer on ankle. Transition will be through the back of pool area to the back of the Y where the Bike Racks will be located.   Bike is an out and back loop through Settler's Walk neighborhood and on Lytle Five Points to the turn-around at Lytle Five Elementary School.  The bike course is two loops.   Finish with an out-and-back 3.1-mile run through out Settler’s Walk. The route is smooth and will have volunteers along the route to direct participants.  There will be 1 aid station near the 1- and 2-mile marks.   Registration Pre-Registration is $60 by

Run, jog or walk to celebrate mom during this annual 5K from the Summit Metro Parks. The stroller-friendly course for this chip-timed race travels twice around the scenic Munroe Falls Lake. Race proceeds benefit the Summit Metro Parks Foundation.   Because the course overlays the park entrance/exit road, the park’s entrance gate will close at 7:50 a.m. and will be re-opened by park police after participants clear the second lap.   A choice of a race t-shirt or native tree sapling is included with each paid registration, including the 14 & under kids’ category, while supplies last. The Fallen 15 will host a Live In Person 4-Miler and Virtual 4-Miler. This year's course will be starting at Adventure Park in Powell and wind its way north through the awesome Powell trail system up to Liberty Park area and then back.   FORMAT: Live and IN PERSON on May 16th Starting at 9:00 am.    VIRTUAL OPTION: We will also have a Virtual Option (like last year). This race window is from Friday, May 15th through Monday, May 18th.
