The Samurai Sprint 5K and Dojo Dash Fun Run is a fundraiser held by Budokan Newton Martial Arts and Sensei's Samurai. We are excited to announce our 2nd Annual Samurai Sprint 5K and Dojo Dash Fun Run for charity. We are excited to be hosting this event, again, in Downtown Newton. All proceeds from this event go to fund the newly created William Alden Elliott Memorial Scholarship, in honor of Alden Elliott, who was killed in the line of duty on April 29, 2024. Alden Elliott was a graduate of Newton-Conover High School and a United States Marine. He worked for NC Department of Adult Correction with the Special Operations and Intelligence Unit.  Alden was a Task Force Officer with the U.S. Marshals Service, Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force. He was tragically killed in the line of duty on April 29, 2024 in Charlotte, North Carolina while attempting to serve a felony warrant.  Alden wholeheartedly supported his son Theo's involvement in martial arts here at Budokan Newton.  Ou

Please come out and join us for the 4th Annual Mulberry Stampede 5K at Mulberry Elementary School in North Wilkesboro, NC on May 2, 2026. This fourth running will feature race|result chip timing and live results through the course of the race. The race starts at 9:00am. You'll be glad you did. The Nags Head Woods 5K is the oldest charity race on the Outer Banks. Held annually on Saturday morning of Mother's Day Weekend, this year in 2026, this race celebrates its 40th Anniversary!! the NHW5K is a down and back race along the gravel road through the Nags Head Woods Ecological Preserve, which is part of The Nature Conservancy of North Carolina.
