Welcome to the City of Maples 4th of July 5K! Start your Independence Day with a run through the beautiful City of Maples! The City of Maples 4th of July 5K returns to Osage, Iowa, continuing a long-standing Fourth of July tradition that brings together runners, walkers, families, and community members from across the region. Whether you're chasing a personal best, running with friends, or looking for a fun and active way to kick off the holiday, this event offers something for everyone. The race will begin and end in Osage and serve as the perfect start to a day filled with Independence Day celebrations. Following the race, participants are encouraged to stay and enjoy all of the activities that make the Fourth of July in Osage a special community tradition.

The Brian Galusha Memorial Run/Walk is a 5K race/walk (all ages) and 1 Mile Kids Fun Run (ages 12 and under) at Thresher Days in Miles, IA.  Proceeds support the Brian Galusha Memorial Scholarship, and the Thresher's Scholarship. ***All who register before June 27th will be guaranteed shirt/size; any registrations after June 28th cannot be guaranteed a shirt or the correct size.  The 5K race/walk is $30 per person ($35 starting June 1).  The 1 Mile Kids Fun Run is $15 per person ($20 starting June 1)*** Races begin at 08:00AM on Saturday July 12th, 2025 at the Thresher's Grounds in Miles.  Packet Pickup will be Friday, July 11th from 4-8PM at the Thresher's Grounds, and again Saturday morning from 6:30AM until race time. US Road Running Races US Road Running races are built for runners and walkers who like friendly, low-pressure race days with just enough competition to keep things exciting. Our events are local, welcoming, and easy to jump into, whether you are chasing a PR, collecting another themed medal, working toward series points, or just getting outside with good people. Most races are small enough to feel personal but organized enough to feel official. You can expect a clear course, helpful race staff, finisher medals, results, and a relaxed community feel. Bring your fast shoes, your steady walking pace, your favorite running buddy, or your best “I signed up for this on purpose” smile. We will be glad to see you at the start line. A quick race-day note: because many US Road Running events are small local races, we normally have one or two staff members at each race. EMS is not stationed on site, and water stations are limited to the finish area at the end of each lap and at the race finish. Please plan for the weather, bring anything you may want between laps, and check in with race staff if you need help. Who's ready for the 9th annual LeClaire Color Blaze 5k?! Join us August 7th 2027 at 8:00 a.m. on race day to experience the most colorful day of the year! This event is guaranteed to be filled with lots of color powder, laughter, and memories! Registration is $25 per person! We will be running Promos! Keep a lookout for those!! Each person that registers will receive...... - A CUSTOM T-shirt for the year of 2027 (different from the normal T-shirts being sold) - An individual color packet - all the color powder your heart desires! Please note - starting this year, we will have a normal T-shirt made for the people that don't register in time. They will be sold during race day for $15.00 each. ANYONE can purchase them. All proceeds from the Color Blaze 5k Run/Walk will go the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. The money donated will help bring us closer to the end of childhood cancer. We run for a day to give them hope for a lifetime!

This exciting, community-focused event is perfect for beginners and seasoned athletes alike. The race kicks off with a 300-yard swim in the indoor aquatic center at the Washington YMCA (520 W 5th St., Washington, IA 52353), providing a comfortable and controlled start. After the swim, participants will transition to the 13 mile bike course on the Kewash Trail, riding out and back on this scenic, flat route. The final leg is a 5K run, starting and finishing at the Y and traveling through beautiful Sunset Park. The Hero Hustle was created in 2016 as a way to raise money to help support the men and women of the Delaware County fire, ambulance, and law enforcement departments. To date, through the participation of our athletes and the generous contributions of our sponsors, the Hero Hustle has been able to give over $77,000 to the people that are always there to save, serve and protect us. The Hero Hustle welcomes all athletes of all abilities. The goal is to get active, have a good time, and raise money for a good cause! The race is a sprint distance triathlon comprised of a 400yd swim, a 16 mile bike ride, and a 5K run to wrap it up. The swim course will be held in Schram Pond. The bike course is out on a public highway and has rolling hills for most of the course. The run course will be mostly flat, with athletes only having to tackle one hill...at least you get to turn around and run back down it though! The Fillmore 5K is a 3.1 mile race at Fillmore Golf Course. The course will be the Saturday following the High School Cross Country meet and held on the same course.  This is a unique and challenging course, for locals some may have ran this course during high school cross country. Fall in Dubuque County is a great time for running and enjoying the outdoors. This is a fundraiser for Dubuque County Conservation with all entry fees going as a donation to Dubuque County Conservation towards conservation and trail stewardship. The event will also be hosted by volunteers and friends of Dubuque County Conservation. Race will be chip timed by Kauder Racing. There will be 1 Water Station at approx.
