WHAT: Join us for our 15th Annual 5K. The SG&B. Sausage Gravy and Biscuit 5K WHEN: Thanksgiving morning (November 26, 2026) at 9:00AM. Registration will start about 8:15. WHERE: 64 Letts Avenue Sunbury, Ohio 43074. 2011 we started this 5K at our home because we wanted to run a Turkey Trot, but we wanted to stay close to home and have it benefit our local community. The first year we had just a few friends (about 6 runners; more eaters than runners). In 2025 we were able to raise over $6000 in gift cards and cash that was donated to Angel Works. The 2026 SG&B proceeds will be donated to the Angel Works. Angel Works is a local organization that supports families fighting childhood cancer. Start your Thanksgiving morning with a jog, run, sprint or walk. Then after come in and enjoy a home cooked sausage gravy and biscuit breakfast with HOMEMADE CINNAMON ROLLS! The Hatfield Home 64 Letts Ave Sunbury, Oh 43074 Entry Fee: As usual there is no entry fee. Like previous years we ask participants to donate gift cards, cash or check. We are still working through details of this years focus, but rest assured 100% of everything that is donated will go to a family or families in need. One aspect of live like Sid is keeping her memory alive by supporting people who are being impacted by cancer. Sidney would say GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME, and we want others to know just how good GOD can be. This race is truly about exercise, food, family, and fun. Most importantly raising money for families in our community. Please feel free to share this event. It is for anyone who wants to participate. Please comment with the number of runners attending. You may also feel free to ask questions on the event page and we will try to get back right away. Remember this is an event for the family. You can walk or run. We will have the 5K or the 1 mile loop. IF YOU WANT TO COME AND ENJOY WATCHING OR JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN WITH THE REST OF US, COME ON AND WE WILL FEED YOU TOO!

Black Friday event start time: 9:00 AM Thanksgiving is a day for Turkey Trots, lots of homecooked food, family, and football. And maybe a nap. And then comes Friday... leftovers galore. You'll be eating turkey and mashed potatoes in various forms for days! As runners, we all have plenty of clothing and shoes that are "leftover" from prior seasons or no longer see the wear we thought they would. And lastly, as race directors (okay, maybe that's just us!) we always have extra shirts and medals when a race is completed. We've accumulated a lot of "leftover" swag over the years and we thought we might do something fun before we make a donation to help those in need. So we came up with the Leftover Run and we're asking for your help. The Leftover Run? Yes! This race takes place on Black Friday at the Dublin Recreation Center. The concept is pretty basic: we have leftover race shirts and medals from events over the past few years. You pay $20 to participate in the Leftover Run and you'll get a race shirt in your indicated size and a medal. Runners and walkers are welcome. Simple! You said you can use my help, how does that work? This race supports the Columbus Running Company Charity Fund. The Columbus Running Company Charity Fund is a 501c3 organization that evolved from our mission to benefit both the running and local communities. The CRC Charity Fund focuses its efforts on youth running participation through scholarships to the Grasshoppers Running Club and providing discounted race timing and logistics support to a small number of approved 501c3 races that have both the athlete and charity in mind. Support the CRC Charity Fund via the event's DONATE page, you can donate during your event registration or separately using the button at the top of the page. Thank you for your generosity!

US Road Running Races US Road Running races are built for runners and walkers who like friendly, low-pressure race days with just enough competition to keep things exciting. Our events are local, welcoming, and easy to jump into, whether you are chasing a PR, collecting another themed medal, working toward series points, or just getting outside with good people. Most races are small enough to feel personal but organized enough to feel official. You can expect a clear course, helpful race staff, finisher medals, results, and a relaxed community feel. Bring your fast shoes, your steady walking pace, your favorite running buddy, or your best “I signed up for this on purpose” smile. We will be glad to see you at the start line. A quick race-day note: because many US Road Running events are small local races, we normally have one or two staff members at each race. EMS is not stationed on site, and water stations are limited to the finish area at the end of each lap and at the race finish. Please plan for the weather, bring anything you may want between laps, and check in with race staff if you need help. View Race Course, Results, and Race Information on the US Road Running race page.
