Historic White Mills 5K

White Mills, KY
Join us for  another fun scenic run through White Mills, Kentucky on Saturday, August 15, 2026, beginning at 8:30am EDT. The White Mills Community is home to the ever-growing and Historic White Mills Christian Camp, which started in June 1940 as a “camper” week at the old White Mills hotel, where 37 campers were in attendance for the first-ever full week of camp. In March 1949, the White Mills Christian Assembly formed and purchased the old hotel, where eventually they would add dorms and hire a camp manager. Today, they offer 25 camp sessions during the ten weeks of summer, during which hundreds upon hundreds of children come to camp. Every year the small-town community of White Mills, in western Hardin County, Kentucky, hosts a festival called White Mills Days. Various activities start on Friday evenings, such as beauty and pet contests, music, fellowship, and fun. On Saturday, the small town shuts down, and the activities resume on and around the Historic White Mills Christian Camp

The USAT-sanctioned event features a 400-meter swim in a heated, outdoor pool with a time trial start on 15-second intervals.  The duathletes will instead be treated to a relatively flat, fast and scenic 2-mile run behind and beside Spindletop. ATTENTION: Aqua-bike athletes timing will end upon re-entering the transition area after the bike stage. Aqua-run athletes will start the swim once the last triathlete/aqua-biker is out of the pool and then do the same swim course, followed by a quick transition and out onto the 3-mile run course.
