The Lakefest Mike Hill 10k began in 1976.  Mike Hill, HK Cooper, and Bill Magruder wanted a race included in the bicentennial celebration.  Mike encouraged businesses and people throughout the community to get involved in the race.  It was known as the Lakefest 10k until Mike's untimely passing in 2007.  The race was then changed to the Lakefest Mike Hill 10k.  Since then, a 5k has been added.

Baptist Health Paducah will host its annual Spokes for Stroke bicycle ride on Saturday, July 11, 2026, to increase our community stroke awareness and raise funds to invest in life-saving technologies and expanded our stroke care services. Our goal is to keep our community healthy, while giving participants the tools they need to spot a stroke when it is first happening and to help them learn ways to prevent a stroke from occurring. This is a wonderful bike tour on four well-marked routes through beautiful McCracken, Marshall and Graves counties. Each route is SAG-supported with refreshments and toilet facilities at rest stops as follows: 65 miles with rolling hills (six rest stops), 35 miles (four rest stops), 20 miles with rolling hills (two rest stops) and 10 miles with a flatter terrain in McCracken County (with one stop). The annual St. Jerome Picnic 5K in Fancy Farm is widely known as the "Best Little Race Around".  Our course is a challenging out and back including a long hill just after the turnaround.  We offer many water stations as well as fresh fruit and cold sports drinks.  You will have hundreds of folks cheering you on for the first and last mile of the race.  All pre-registered runner are guaranteed a 5K T-shirt.  T-shirts will be offered to late registrants as long as they are available.  NOTE:  Hwy 339 North of Fancy Farm will be closed from 5:45 until nearly 7PM due to the St. Jerome One Mile Classic that utilizes that stretch of road.  You will have to come in to Fancy Farm via Hwy 80 either from Mayfield or Carlisle County if 339 North is your normal route into Fancy Farm. Kentucky State Police Post 15 - Columbia presents this 5K evening run/walk on the banks of beautiful Green River Lake.  This chip-timed event will be a high-energy event that will include a DJ and music.  There will also be lights, glowsticks, and State Police cruisers throughout the course to illuminate the evening.  The race will start and end at the Green River State Park Campground pavilion.  Come join us at this rare evening, 5K, and have an opportunity to support children in our community. Race the Runway 5.02K is the first event in the Planet Fitness Mayorthon Race Series. This race will be professionally chip-timed. All participants will receive a commemorative Race the Runway 5.02K short-sleeved shirt and a custom finisher medal.
