8th Annual Ezra J. Hartke Race for Hope Saturday, November 14, 2026 at 9:00 AMKyle Park, Tipp City, OH Ezra loved trains, cars, superheroes and all things “boy”. In August of 2017 at the age of 3, Ezra was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor. After a year of living life and fighting the disease, Ezra unfortunately lost his battle in September of 2018 at the very young age of 4. During his illness, Ezra and his family were humbled by the caregivers and all of the support they received from so many people.  As so much support was provided during Ezra’s illness, the family wants to honor Ezra’s legacy by raising money in support of childhood cancer research and care. Come on, let's Turkey Trot! The Community Building Institute - Middletown's fifth annual Turkey Trot in Middletown Ohio, is on Nov 14th at Triple Moon Coffee Company. 10:00am start time. Gates open at 8:30am. Description: Proceeds from this fundraiser support CBI's birth-to-five, out-of-school enrichment, workforce development, and family engagement programs as well as the Robert 'Sonny' Hill Community Center. Your registration comes with a bib to participate in the race, a swag bag, a t-shirt (if registered by 10/28), a participation medal, and a discount at Triple Moon Coffee Company. The Fall 2026 rendition of the Girls on the Run 5k will return to Wright State University. Girls on the Run is an incredible program that inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. Girls on the Run strives for a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. As many of you know, our Girls on the Run participants traditionally run alongside an adult Running Buddy. The job of the Running Buddy is to provide one-on-one support and encouragement to their girl as she takes on a great challenge. YOU can help our girls find their happy pace and share in the magic of helping her cross the finish line. The 5K give-away is first come first served - so don't wait to sign up! Back this year, we are continuing our kiddie Fun Run. The half-mile fun run will start and finish at the same start finish line as the 5K. It will start at 12:30pm. This race will not be timed, but we will run the clock for participants to see their time. The route will begin and end at Findlay Brewing Co. and head out on Main St., along the Blanchard River, through Riverside Park, and back down Sandusky St. to Findlay Brewing Co. Come celebrate the end of the 2026 cross country season with a 5K XC Run at one of the region’s premiere golf courses, Crown Hill Golf Club, located at 9500 US Route 22 W., Williamsport, Ohio 43164. The 5K course will consist of paved, gravel, grass and dirt surfaces and feature challenging rolling terrain. Beautiful scenery throughout the course will elevate your running experience. The course will have a dramatic downhill start from the #9 Tee and then follow the cart path to a finish near the 18th green. All proceeds will benefit Hope House of Pickaway County, a registered 501 (c) (3), an emergency shelter serving homeless men in Pickaway County. Celebrating the life of Holly Sneider! This marks year 13 for the race, so help us celebrate in style. Special thanks to Fisher Titus Medical Center and the Edison Athletic Boosters for making the event a possibility again this year! Holly passed away from cancer at age 39 in 2011 leaving her husband Steve and three small children. Holly was a loving mother, wife and colleague that thrived on helping people in need. Our great community would like to show the family that Holly’s legacy will live on. AWARDS: Top overall male and top overall female finishers. The 5K event starts at 8:30 AM Since 1997, the United Way 5K Run/Walk has been a community favorite. This event brings several hundred participants annually to the Fairfield County Fairgrounds in Lancaster. It's a closed 5K course. Cash prizes are awarded to the first, second, and third-place male and female finishers for the 5K. Our traveling Participation Trophy has become very popular with local businesses. Trophies are awarded to the company with the largest number of participants (either walk or run) based on company size. It's a great opportunity to bring people together. This year, United Way of Fairfield County will also be hosting a Food Drive for our Weekend Backpack program and will be asking for donations of granola bars, trail mix, cereals, fruits, and applesauce. Parking will be available near the race starting location at the Clock House, as well as overflow at the Tower. Race day packet pickup will take place at the Clock House starting at 1:30pm. We will begin the afternoon at 2:30 p.m. with a remembrance vigil honoring those we have lost to suicide. Families and friends are encouraged to bring a picture to share. The walk and run aim to promote suicide awareness and support those who have lost loved ones or are grieving. It's the Fall Classic's 50th Anniversary, and we are bringing an exciting change to this classic race. The Fall Classic will be a two-day race: the 5k will be on Saturday, November 21st, and the Half Marathon and Relay will be on Sunday, November 22nd. This will allow us to welcome more runners and also offer a Foxy Challenge, completing both events! Join the Cleveland Road Runners Club for the 50th running of the Fall Classic 1/2 marathon and 5K at Bonnie Park. Over the past 5 decades, thousands of runners have enjoyed this fast, scenic course run entirely in the beautiful Cleveland Metroparks. The 5K & half marathon are USA Track & Field–certified! Both courses are flat and fast, running primarily along the scenic Valley Parkway road through the Cleveland Metroparks — ideal for chasing a personal best.
