Wheeler Mission—Bloomington’s Dash 4 Shelter is a timed 5K to benefit programs and services for our guests experiencing homelessness in Bloomington, Monroe County, and South-Central Indiana.

The 2026 Christmas in the Park, sponsored by Chick-fil-A, will be held on December 5, 2026 at Deming Park. This race benefits Clothe a Child with 50% of the proceeds going to the organization. This race includes a 5K run/walk option for adults and youth, and a 1-mile Reindeer Romp for youth. The Reindeer Romp will start at 9:40 a.m. with the 5K starting after that. The deadline to register and receive a t-shirt is Sunday, November 29th at 11:59P. Packet pick up will take place the morning of the race at the Torner Center inside Deming Park. Race Day Awards:Awards will be given; including overall awards, age group awards, and walker awards. Awards are based on 5-year age groups. And please remember: IF YOU ARE SIGNED UP AS A WALKER, PLEASE DO NOT RUN! We have competitive walkers who work hard and it wouldn’t be fair for a someone to run part of the race and beat out a competitive walker who walked the complete event.

The Elkhart Education Foundation is excited to host the annual Ugly Sweater 5K Run/Walk and 1.5 Mile Sweater Stroll. This is a fun-filled event for every person: the serious runner, the recreational jogger, walkers, and our furry friends! Wear your tackiest sweater and you may win the Ugliest Sweater Contest1 The 5K Run and Walk is timed, the 1.5 mile walk is not timed. You never know what the weather is going to be like in December, and thankfully we had the larger venue as it was a cold one! New in 2026: New course for the 1.5 Mile that includes Wellfield Gardens! Dogs are not allowed in Wellfield Gardens, so if you are participating in this distance, you are not allowed to bring your dog inside the park. However, you are welcome to bring your dog on the 5K if they would enjoy and are trained for that distance. Hosted by Saint Joseph Grade School as a homage to Saint Nicolas, on his feast day in early December, the Saint Nick 6 features a 6k Run, 3k Run, 3k Walk, and the 0.06k Run Run Rudolph for first graders and younger. This year’s race will be our 18th and will be held on Saturday, December 5th. The race starts at the grade school and participants will travel along South Bend’s scenic east bank trail north to Holy Cross College and back. Each participant will receive a long sleeve tech style shirt. You must sign up by Friday, November 15 to be guaranteed a shirt! Important Note About Course Conditions! We are working closely with the City of South Bend to make sure the Saint Nick Six course is in the best condition possible. Still, mother nature always has a say. Winding Brook Park's residents create beautiful light displays each year and take donations for area charities. Fleet Feet Mishawaka is looking to donate a total of $2000 this year. Fleet Feet will start the donations off with $1000 leaving the remaining $1000 up to our amazing running community. We are suggesting a minimum $5 donation per runner to help get us there. As a part of the Ignite Trail series, come enjoy beautiful Chain O'Lakes State Park in Albion, Indiana for our newest race - the Ignite Trail Marathon and Half Marathon. The course will be a 13.1 mile loop that you will run once or twice.  There will be a 8 hour cut off for this event starting at 8:00am with a 4:00pm cut off. You will enjoy 3 aid stations which we are trying to get local Cross Country teams to help man to help fundraise for their programs. One of the toughest half marathons you'll ever run. on the road.  Entire event is on paved county roads.Start at Columbus Youth Camp and drop 250 ft in 1.9 mile down along Wolf Creek to a turnaround and back up the hill. Then after passing the start line you descend 200 ft in 3/4 mile to Grandview Lake.  Follow road around lake with rolling hills and magnificent views. After the lake tour, back up the hill to the finish at Columbus Youth Camp. The 5k option will include going down the 250 ft and 200 ft hills and coming back up. This race will also start and finish at Columbus Youth Camp.

The 6th Annual Flannel 5K & 1-Mile Run is heading back to Beutter Park, taking runners and walkers along the beautiful Riverwalk in Mishawaka, Indiana! Choose between a 1-mile run, starting at 8:45 AM, or the 5K, kicking off at 9:05 AM. The Monroe County Fairgrounds is back again for the 2nd annual Holiday Lights 5k.  For year two we are adding a race shirt, timing, and making it a true 5k event.  This unique 5k takes you through the fairgrounds holiday lights route 2.5 times and ends at the fairgrounds free stage.  Come join us and make this a new holiday family tradition! This year's event will take place Tuesday, December 23, 2025. Packet Pickup will start at 6pm and the run/walk will begin at 7pm.  Please enter the fairgrounds through gate 4 and try to arrive no later than 6:30 to allow time for the crowd to complete packet pickup.  We will try to start promptly at 7pm.

The Appleseeds Track Camp is an introduction into the world of Track & Field for kids of all ages. The camp is open to kids from ages 5 to 18. I hate ketchup. But I hate cancer more. After losing his wife, Amanda, to stage IV colorectal cancer in 2019, Alex Baker has made it his mission to fight back against cancer. We had another great time last year at the Groundhog despite some challenging conditions. We have pre-ordered a smoother, less snowy week leading into the 2027 Groundhog, so we should be back at full force! Thanks to your continued generosity, though, we were able to raise another $4000+ for the Zionsville Food Pantry. We've once again added a "Virtual Groundhog" for those who would like to support the cause, but can't make it on race day. And we'll continue to be back to our old ways of offering a 7-mile option and our 5-mile option - utilizing the Rail Trail with a bit of extension farther to the north. TIME CUT OFF: We do need to ask for folks wanting to do the 7-miler to keep up a 14:00 per mile pace. Our course sentry at Mulberry Street (Mile 4.5) will be diverting everyone after that to just take the 5-mile route back to the high school. This 5K will start in Ravine Park, running through the park parts of Attica. This race benefits the local Rotary club in their efforts for supporting youth awards.

Ride, run or wheelchair on the challenging paths of Franke Park. It's still cold and Spring won't here for another month. The trails will be muddy until June anyway. Pump up you bike tires or put on your trail shoes. Get out that cold weather gear and get some frozen trail miles in Franke Park.
