Dave’s Run for ALS is a super-fun, family event for runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. DAVE'S DOUBLE IS BACK THIS YEAR BY POPULAR DEMAND (run both the 8K and 5K and win a special prize)!! The event is named for the late David Filer who was an avid runner, active SAR member, and local business owner. David was diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, in the summer of 2000. Currently there is no cure for this fatal disease. A portion of the proceeds from the event will go specifically for ALS research, via the Jim Himelic foundation. Race distances are 8K and FitKidz and Family 1 Mile Run/Walk. EVENT: 14th Annual RISING SUN RUN DESCRIPTION: Located on the high desert plain of southeast Arizona, Sierra Vista offers the ideal venue to stage a beautiful and challenging Half Marathon and 5K event with a 1M fun Run/Walk. Starting at 4,500 feet and with the Huachuca mountains as their background, the courses wind through country neighborhoods with the half marathon continuing up to its turnaround at the entrance to the beautiful Ramsey Canyon Preserve at 5500’ of elevation. The return to the half marathon finish line affords beautiful vistas of the San Pedro River valley to the end of the run. Both courses are USA Track & Field certified. As mentioned above, the half marathon course presents a challenge to even the experienced half marathoner due to the altitude and the significant elevation change. FOUR CORNERS QUAD KEYAH MARATHON SERIES Four Corners Monument  Thursday December 3 - Sunday December 6, 2026   Welcome to the Four Corners Quad Keyah!   SCHEDULE OF RACES –  A marathon and half marathon will be completed each day, Thursday through Sunday.  All races begin at 8:30 a.m., except for Sunday (New Mexico), which starts at 8:00 a.m.  Sundown (or 5:30) is the course limit.
