Kessler Mountain Jam is an AMBCS (Arkansas Mountain Bike Championship Series) mountain bike race contested on the trails of Kessler Mountain in south Fayetteville, AR.  This is a USA Cycling sanctioned race and there are categories for all ages and levels.  See following link for license requirements for each level of racer - https://www.kesslermountainjam.com/Race/KesslerMountainJam/Page-3. Kick off Independence Day with a few miles, a good time, and a finishers medal that's going to be an awesome addition to your wall! The race takes place at the Paragould Community Center and consists of 4 one-mile loops, at the end of each loop you get a beaded necklace. End of Lap 1: Red End of Lap 2: White End of Lap 3: Blue End of Lap 4: Finishers Medal! Stick around for grilled hot dogs and awards after the race!

NEA has been missing a 4th of July race for years now.   In this country we have Freedom, we have freedom to Run and we have the freedom to run a July 4th race and finish with pride.  We will be hosting the Freedom Finishers 5K at Paragould's Rotary Park on July 4th starting at 7:30AM.  The course will be an out and back on the 8 mile ditch trail.  Entry fee is $30 for non-military members 16 and older. Those not old enough to drive yet are discounted to $15. Service members (Military, Police, and Fire) can use coupon code "Military" to get $10 off the entry fee. Please have your military ID available at check-in on race morning to receive your bib. T-shirt cutoff is 6/22 so please register early to insure you get one. Extras are first come, first serve until we run out. Come out and enjoy the run and create a new tradition. Runners, Walkers, Strollers and 4-legged friends are all welcome to participate.

Fast 4 mile race filled with history! Clarksville is home to the Johnson County Peach Festival. Starting in 1938. It is a nearly week long event (starts on a Tuesday and ends on Saturday) and attracts visitors from all over the country. Full Moon 25k/50k kick is the AURA Ultra Trail Series season kickoff race. Proceeds go to the Arkansas Crisis Center in memory of Logan Wilcoxson, the Arkansas Ultra Running Cross Country Fund which benefits a different high school cross country team each year, Faulkner County HAM, and Williams Junction FD. The course is set on rolling Forest Service Roads, starting at Camp Ouachita Girl Scout Camp in the Ouachita National Forest. NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION The Scorchin’ Squirrel is a trail race through Ferncliff Camp and Conference Center’s 1200 acres located just 10 miles west of Little Rock.  There are 4 distance options: a 10kish (1 loop), 11.5 mile (2 loops), 15.5 mile (3 loops) or 19.5 mile (4 loops). All distances are approximate.  Each loop passes through 1 full aid station and one water drop.   There will be refreshments at the end with a cook out at the pool.  Please bring stuff to share although Fleet Feet Little Rock and Ferncliff will provide burgers and hot dogs.  We will begin serving food at 10 AM.  No glass containers please.  No pets. This is a great race for heat training and for trying out trail running with the shorter distances.  There is quite a bit of incline (heheh) throughout the course and a few water crossings in wet weather. Do you have the GRIT and GUTS to traverse up and down Mt. Nebo… TWICE?  GRIT and GUTS is back!! Half Grit and Full Grit will be hard. And they will be beautiful.It will be equal parts VERT and equal parts fast flow, we promise!  That said: A warning. This is a tough race! The trails are amazing but rocky. Bring your climbing legs and big girl pants because it will get hard. Most race days start cool and then heat up.  Not to scare anyone but this is probably not a good very first race. It will take you longer than a normal half marathon.  You are welcome to bail early just come back to the start and check out. No judgement and no worries! The 13th Annual Omega Prostate/Colon Cancer Awareness 5K Run/ Walk is a race event for which all the proceeds are donated in support of The Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation, American Cancer Society and scholarships for High School students. We are grateful for the continued opportunity to raise money to help these two organization and continue to provide scholarships to deserving high school students.  With  the support of the community, last year we increased our participants to over 267 runners and walkers and we were able to raise $5,715.62 above expenses that has been distributed to support the Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation, the American Cancer Society and scholarships for deserving high school students through the Omegas of Greater Little Rock, Incorporated non- profit corporation.  These organizations greatly appreciate the support that you gave to last year’s event. The 17th Annual East End Sizzler “Stride to End Childhood Cancer” is a 5K and 10K in held in the small community of East End, AR put on by the Little Rock South Lions Club.      Registration for the race will begin at 7:00 am and ends 10 minutes before the race starts.   The 5K and 10K will both begin at 8:00 am.   This will be a chip-timed race.    There is a Course time Limit of 2 hours.    We are awarding the top 3 males and females in each age category: 19 and under , 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. "DO THE HAVEN HUSTLE 5K" The Haven Hustle 5K" is a fundraiser to benefit Haven Homes of Texarkana. Haven Homes is a faith-based, non-profit organization that serves both men and women in the Texarkana/Four States area who are struggling with life issues such as drug abuse, alcoholism, and addiction. Through safe housing, work and service programs, counseling, and spiritual guidance, we help individuals in need grow and thrive. The Haven Homes mission is to bring restoration to broken people through grace-based discipleship. We seek to reach those in pain from addiction and, through God's grace, help these individuals receive love, joy, hope, and healing. Haven Homes offers a Transitional Home for women coming out of Bowie County Women's Center. We also offer 12 to 18 month Recovery Centers for both men and women, and sober-living homes for program graduates. The Big Dam Bridge 100 is an annual event in central Arkansas that celebrates the "Big Dam Bridge" over the Arkansas River. The 4,226-foot bridge is the longest bridge built for pedestrian and bicycle traffic in North America. It connects over 40 miles of scenic riverside trails between Little Rock and North Little Rock. It also serves as the backbone for connecting over 70,000 acres of various city, county, state & federal parks. The BDB 100 offers several routes ranging between 15 and 105 miles, with beautiful mountain and river scenery, as well as a few challenging hills on the longer routes. The event provides participants with well-marked courses, fun aid stations with tasty treats and beverages, great volunteer support, event t-shirt, a unique finisher medal, post-ride food and drinks along with a unique finish-line experience.

Join us for the 2nd Annual 5K Walk/Run for Breast Cancer Awareness, hosted by Dr. Kim Leverett — breast cancer survivor and owner of A Kick Above: A Personal Training Studio.  Kim spent 10 years as a full-time pharmacist before following her passion for fitness and wellness. She transitioned into personal training to help others move beyond managing symptoms to truly living well. In 2013, after a routine mammogram, Kim was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her treatment included six rounds of chemotherapy and 35 rounds of radiation. Remarkably, throughout her treatment, she continued to train clients and maintain her own workouts — often without anyone knowing what she was facing. Kim credits her faith in Christ, her fitness foundation, and the support of her clients for carrying her through.
