Join us August 29 at 9am for our 14th annual 5K run/walk to benefit Iraqi orphans and vulnerable children! THE PLUTONIUM MAN TRIATHLON TAKES PLACE ON AUGUST 29, 2026 TWO DISTANCES TO CHOOSE FROM:  you have the choice of Olympic distance, sprint distance, or relay teams for the Olympic distance event. RACE FORMAT: 1.3 km swim; 40 km bike; 10 km run for the Olympic distance triathlon and 1.3 km swim, 20 km bike, and 5 km run for the sprint distance triathlon. Course Description: Swimmers enter the Columbia River at a beach about 400 yards upstream of the North Richland starch plant and swim downstream with the current (fast times, baby) 1.3 km to the exit just upstream of Sprout Road.  The single transition area will be at the SE corner of the WSU Tri-Cities campus grounds.  Cyclists will head west on Sprout Road, turn right on George Washington Way and follow the course as described on the course maps.  Olympic distance triathletes will do 2 loops of the bike course while the sprint distance triathletes do one loop. Join us for WARM’s inaugural Hunger Heroes 5K, which will take place on Saturday, August 29th, 2026, at the Westerville Sports Complex (325 N. Cleveland Ave. Westerville OH 43082). Our Children’s Race will start at 8:40 AM, and our 5K will start at 9 AM. Proceeds will benefit Westerville Area Resource Ministry (WARM). September is Hunger Action Awareness Month, an annual nationwide campaign to raise awareness about food insecurity and to inspire action. WARM’s Hunger Heroes 5K brings people together in a fun way to highlight the growing need in the Westerville community. We also have a virtual option for those who cannot attend on event day. The Scouting America Half Marathon and 5K is the perfect tune up race for your fall racing. Ideally situated just a few weeks before the Garmin Marathon Series in Toledo, this is a great way to test your nutrition and pace. The half marathon enjoys a very flat route through the heart of a college downtown. This course scenery has it all -- Industrial, downtown, wooded bike paths, golf course neighborhood, and City Park. Water stops are staffed by our area scout troops in uniform who thank you for supporting them.  The post race refreshment zone, sponsored by Southeastern Container, offers chocolate milk, fresh fruit, and more. Finally, Scout Troops serve up a pancake breakfast for all, included with your registration.

Running With Ella is not quite your typical 5k. We have no podium (though we just might hand out an odd prize or two), or timer. Putting up a lightning fast time at our 5k will not qualify you for the Boston Marathon. The Thirsty 13 Half Marathon is one of the best races in Colorado! The race course:  Fast and mostly downhill, with gorgeous scenery.  Perfect for runners new to the half marathon distance or looking to set a PR. The finish line:  Ska Brewing, one of the best breweries in Colorado.  A crowd of spectators cheers you to the finish. RexRun for PAWSitivity 2026 opens at 7:00 am so you can visit with the doggies and get an early peek in the Vendor Marketplace! In partnership, The YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region and the Colorado Springs Sports Corp want to bring you the Rocky Mountain 5K presented by School District 11, the official 5K of the Rocky Mountain State Games! The Rocky Mountain 5K will be giving back to families through the YMCA’s life changing programs and supporting CSSC’s Rocky Mountain State Games initiatives to provide sport opportunities for athletes of all ages and athletic abilities. LOCATION: This is an out and back mostly flat 5K run/walk that will start at America the Beautiful Park and then heads north on the Pikes Peak Greenway trail for 1.55 miles until the turn-around. This year will mark our 3rd annual Run For Hope when we remember, honor, and celebrate those who lost their lives to addiction. This year's event is hosted by our Finding Hope and Hope After Loss Support Groups. We currently have over 800 members across the United States who attend these free support groups to seek hope and healing as they navigate loving someone with addiction, as well as find strength through their grief of losing a loved one. This year’s run will be family focused with our second one-mile memorial walk/run, inflatables, food trucks, and more. This will be an event you and your family will not want to miss! Oldham County Parks and Recreation will be hosting its 23rd annual, USAT sanctioned Sprint Triathlon at Wendell Moore Park on Saturday, August 29, 2026.  This is a great race for every level of triathlete. Participants must be 16 & over. Swimming leg, 400 meters, is a time start, every 15 seconds, in the John W. Black Aquatic Center 25 meter pool. Bike course, 10 miles, on the Oldham County roads (non closed) with police at the major intersections. Bike course is a hilly course. Run leg, 2 Miles, is on the park grounds includes an asphalt trail with a few grass sections. All triathletes receive a finish metal at the finish line. Awards ceremony follows the race with free pizza. Awards will be given to the following: Overall Female, Overall Male and the top two finishers in a variety of age groups. This clinic is hosted by TriChix Multisport, an all female triathlon club devoted to spreading the multisport love! We will teach athletes the fundamentals of triathlon and prepare them for the Sea Turtle Triathlon.
