With the coming of spring the foliage will be blooming, eggs will be hatching, and we'll be running! The Rocks and Roots Trail at Alum Creek is the only trail built by runners for runners! One of the unique elements of the trail is that every season brings new experiences on the trail. Our Winter Series is famous for it's bitter cold and snow! The Firefly pits runners against the dark of night. Hoot is HOT, and Squatch brings the best of the fall color change. Camp Hook Trail Runs is an authentic weekend of 4-hour events presented by the Ohio River Road Runners Club and offers runners the opportunity to participate in 4-Hour Solo and 4-Hour Team Relay events. The historic former scout camp, Camp Hook, sits at the southern end of Twin Creek MetroPark. Both races will be on the scenic purple trail and use of single track around Lake George. The annual Sexual Assault Awareness Month 5K and Dog Walk returns April 11th, 2026. The race begins and ends at the BGSU Student Recreation Center. Packet pickup will start at 9:00 am, 5K begins at 10:00 am and the dog walk will begin at 10:15 am. It is $15 for BGSU students and $20 for all others. Registration is required. All proceeds benefit the BGSU Survivor Fund and The Cocoon. There will also be prizes in various age and competitive categories. Come show your support and get moving!

The race, named after Kent State University's unofficial mascot, will be available for anyone to participate. The traditional 5k course is a loop course which begins and ends near the entrance to the Beverly J. Warren Student Recreation and Wellness Center on the campus of Kent State University. The course will be marked if you are in Kent and would like to run the actual course. Ready for the final push of training for the Mercy Health Glass City Marathon Races? The Merrimac Miracle Organization is pleased to host the 6th Annual London OH Marathon as a fundraiser for Merri-Mac Park. We are raising funds to further improve the park by adding play equipment, recreational paths, sports fields, etc. Format: The full and half marathon race events will start promptly at 7 am and the 5K at 7:15 am. The course will remain open for 5 hours after the last competitor starts. Course: The start and finish will be located at Merri-Mac Park. All course maps can be viewed here. The flat, tree-lined scenic rails will take you toward Darby Creek Metro Park. The full marathon repeats the course twice. Did we mention this race is flat? It is crazy flat! Training for the Cleveland Marathon or Glass City? Feeling bored with winter and want a little challenge? Or just generally a big fan of runs that finish with a craft beer? About the Run: Aid stations will be every 3 miles for the Marathon, Half Marathon, and 20 Mile courses. This is a RULES OF THE ROAD event. The Run to the Beach 5K and One-Mile Easter Eggs Scramble on April 11, 2026, features beautiful courses that loop around Portage Lakes State Park.   Great swag!  Finisher medals for ALL 5K runners and walkers. The Clover 5K on April 11, 2026 at 8:30am Join us for the 4-H Clover 5K at the Franklin County Fairgrounds in Hilliard, Ohio. All funds raised by the 5K run/walk helps to support the 4-H Walk & Serve. A 5k run/walk to benefit the Conor Greer Memorial Scholarship.  This scholarship was created to recognize multisport athlete(s) and NHS members graduating from Liberty-Benton.  All funds raised will go directly to the scholarship account to enable multiple rewards each graduation year.  The race will begin and end at the High School football stadium on Saturday April 11th.  Start time is scheduled for 9am. On June 17th, 2018, Our Lord, who art in Heaven, received the greatest Father’s Day gift of all time. This world lost a best friend, co-pilot, treasure hunter, adventurer, partner-in-crime, artist,  hero, cancer-fighter and all around rock-star kid. Christian James Albain, 10, of Toledo, OH,  passed away in the arms of his loving parents after a valiant battle with leukemia at Nationwide  Children’s Hospital, Columbus, OH.  He was born August 23, 2007 in Toledo, OH to Christopher Albain and Brittney Styer. Christian  came into this world with a natural kindness and the ability to make friends with everyone he met. He loved his family, above all else, and will always be idolized by his siblings, cousins and numerous other family and friends. Christian’s superpower was having a heart big enough to fit everyone he knew. Christian will always be our "Little Hero" and this annual memorial event will be held to forever honor Christian's life.

Delta Sigma Pi Michael Hayes 5k Sunday April 12th, 2026 at 10am Oxford, OH Where: Leonard Howell Park - Address: 5200 Bonham Rd, Oxford, OH 45056 Benefit: Every year, the Alpha Upsilon Chapter of Delta Sigma Pi at Miami University puts on a 5K run/walk in memory of their brother, Michael Hayes, who passed away in 2004 from small bowel cancer whilst also suffering from Crohn's disease. Hayes Memorial Scholarship Fund created by Michael to assist students on the Miami University campus who are battling life threatening illnesses, whilst pursuing their higher education. Mentor High School would like to invite you and your team to Ohio's longest running Relay meet, the Mentor Cardinal Relays on Thursday, April 17th 2025. We would like to provide your team a great track meet experience before the holiday weekend. This year Nike and Second Sole Mentor will be providing special awards, custom meet medals, along with a Nike interactive tent and photo booth. We will also have a catered dinner for all coaches. New this year will be the girls and boys Nike Elite 5000. Field events will start at 3:00pm and running events at 3:30pm. We are striving to return this meet to its former Ohio glory by adding some new twists with new events and a new order of events. Entry fee is $300.00 for both teams or $150.00 for one gender. Cost for individuals is $50.00 without a full team. Meet limit will be 16 full teams per gender. All school contracts will be on Dragonfly.
