THE CAUSE – Near the conclusion of each school year, the Bartholomew Consolidated School Foundation (BCSF) acknowledges a deserving educator from the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation (BCSC). The “Good, Better, Best” recognition – awarded in honor of two BCSC Hall of Fame, long-time educators (Ross Wallace and Chuck Grimes) – goes to a BCSC employee that has gone “above and beyond” and “outside the box” in their passionate attempt to make education as positive and memorable of an experience as possible for the students they serve. Our hope is that proceeds from this race will continue to pay tribute to the legacy of not only Mr. Wallace/Mr. Grimes and this award’s recipients, but also draw attention to deserving educators everywhere for a long time to come. Rock the Block is a 10K (timed), 5K walk/run (family-friendly), and a free Kids Run. The event includes scenic courses, food, music, vendors, awards and giveaways-guaranteeing fun for everyone! Proceeds benefit organizations serving youth and families in Johnson County.

The Illiana Christian Pancake Pacer 5k is a great run benefiting the Illiana Christian Athletics Department. All proceeds go towards new uniforms and additional equipment for our athletic programs. The race begins and ends at Midwest Ice Arena (10600 White Oak Ave, Dyer, IN 46311). Following the race, each runner is invited to Illiana Christian High School where a free pancake breakfast will be provided to all runners. Here, winners will be announced and given medals for the following age groups: 19U, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and up. Every registered runner will receive an Illiana personalized backpack. YWCA Northeast Indiana's annual Race for a Reason provides an opportunity for the community to come together in support of the critical services provided by YWCA Northeast Indiana. The 2026 Race for a Reason theme is "Lacing Up for a Stronger Tomorrow".  The 2026 Race for a Reason will take place on Saturday, April 25th on Purdue Fort Wayne's campus with a 5K start time of 9:00 AM and a 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk start time of 9:05 AM. The event is professionally timed and includes awards by age and gender.

The "live" Run/Walk for Hunger 5K will be held in beautiful Winona Lake, Indiana. We are excited to be using the paved Heritage Trail in our run. The Heritage Trail, as stated by Indiana Trails, features water views, handsome town streets, deep woods and several pieces of trailside artwork that interpret the town’s values: kindness, virtue, generosity, community, gathering, beauty, respect, legacy, peace and love. Winona Lake is the home of rich and glorifying history...With the efforts of Winona Lake Restoration Company, Winona Lake has become a prime location for visitors and residents alike. Come out for a morning of fun and games! MCCSC will host a 1 mile and 5k run for students and their families on Saturday, April 25th at Grandview Elementary. This race serves as a culminating event for our elementary running clubs, and an opportunity for families to come together for an active event. This event will be FREE to all participants (students, parents/guardians, family members, etc.). While there is no registration fee, we do ask families to consider donating. All profits will be put towards the Mental Health Support Endowment through the Monroe County Community Schools Foundation.  Wear your school colors to show your school pride! Join us in the wilderness area for this fun and unique 5K. Instead of funning on the road (besides a short section to get into the wilderness area), this 5K takes place on the trails of the wilderness area and Camp Mack. During the race, we will see some cool stuff along the way: the challenge course, archery range (don't worry, no one will be shooting), 5 points, the big field, grandfather oak, the prairie, and end with two laps around the auditorium.  After we are done running, you can join us in the dining hall for our famous cinnamon toast breakfast (included in your registration). As part of the Ignite Trail Series we are offering a spring timed event.  This will be a 3.55 mile course with one aid station at the start finish line.  Only full loops will count toward you mileage total for the timed events.  With 30 minutes to go in each event, we will open up an 1/8 mile out and 1/8 mile back course so that you can add to your mileage totals. ***Registration will close approximately 1 week prior to the event*** ***NO DAY OF RACE REGISTRATION***

The Running of the Bulldogs 5K is a community event to raise money for the Brownsburg High School Band, Guard, and Orchestra. Each year, over 600 middle and high school students go through our amazing music and performance programs. As the Brownsburg student population grows, the costs to provide many of the necessary resources will also. Your support will allow us make sure money is never a reason for a child to quit something they passionately wish to pursue. The Run Happy 50k (and other "happy" distances) event will take place on May 2, 2026 at Potato Creek State Park Nature Center in North Liberty, Indiana. This is a fun and relaxed event, great for walkers and runners. It is also perfect for families who want to run different distances all at at the same event! Course routes are clearly marked and the trails are broken in. Whether you're a running veteran, or a first-time trail runner, this is an event for you! Encourage your students to participate in the 46th Annual Elementary School Fitness Fun Run, Walk and Run!  It will be held at Mill Race Park on Saturday, May 2nd beginning at 2:00 pm.  The run is hosted by the Columbus Running Club and is open to ALL elementary school students in Bartholomew AND surrounding counties.

Program participants who are in grades 4 through 6 are invited to Indianapolis to finish their final 3.1 miles in their own wave of the Delta Dental 500 Festival 5K on Saturday, May 2, 2026! Groups can experience the KidsFit Final 5K, which occurs the morning of the IU Health 500 Festival Mini-Marathon. Students will finish at the same finish line as the Mini-Marathon participants - compete with grandstands filled with cheering fans and families. KidsFit participants receive a discounted entry, a shirt, a finisher medal, post-race snacks and goodies, and an experience they'll never forget! Both the 5k and 1 Mile course will run on courses through the Strong Avenue neighborhood, beginning and ending at Mary Daly Elementary School. All runners will receive participant ribbons.  Top three male and female runners in each division will receive medals.  Top three overall male and female runners will receive trophies. On Saturday, May 2nd, 2025, the Shipshewana Mayfest Road Run will be taking place as part of Shipshewana's Annual Mayfest celebration.  The event will feature two races designed for runners of all ages and experience levels. We will kick things off at 8:15 a.m. with the 1 Mile Fun Run. The race will begin near 345 North Morton Street at the Wolfe Building. The fun run will be run on the newly paved North Street.  It will be a straight out and back run for the kids.  The kids will finish close to where they started. Medals will be awarded to the top three boys and girls. At 8:30 am, the 5K Shipshewana Road Run begins. The course has slightly changed but will be familiar to any who have run here before!  Immediately following the race, prizes will be awarded to the top three men and women overall, and the winner in each age division.  Both races will be electronically timed.​Pre-registration cost is $15 for the 1 Mile Fun Run (13 and under) and $20 for the 5K.  Registration will also

Steel Dynamics Inc presents a Springtime Gravel race with fabulous views of well-known attractions like Garbage Mountain (the local dump) both out and inbound, ride by many pork and turkey farms, and over Numerous train tracks in this Lil more than a Metric long course. There will also be a medium-length course that cuts off the final loop at the Sag stop.  This will be an all-weather event (barring serious weather) so dress accordingly.  The course is a mix of chunky gravel, dirt roads, a bit of pavement, a few hills, and probably lots of mud.  There will be timing/placing for the top 3 in each class, course marshals, and signs to mark the route.  GPS devices ARE advised and course route files are available on RideWithGPS.  You will find yourself in the middle of Nowhere, Indiana.  Often. We are excited to announce The Getting Miles Athletic Club's first annual Fort Wayne Park Race Series. Participants aged 12 and under are eligible to compete in this race series.  The Derby Mile is a one mile loop of challenging dirt trails in Franke Park. Participants will start and finish at the HUB. The HUB is an outdoor recreation facility at the bottom of historic Derby Hill.   Make sure you arrive early to find a good parking spot, warm up, use the restrooms and pick up your race bib. Series participants need to return their race bibs to the packet pickup station in order to receive points for the race. You will use the same race bib for all the events.  Runners will receive the final race decal to put on their bibs at the finish line.  We are collecting non-perishable food items to help fill the local food lockers to help local families in need.The Getting Miles Athletic Club is a local organization whose goal is to provide a community for recreational athletes of all levels

Chase the Shadow is a free, untimed fun run/walk/roll that is open to participants of all fitness levels.      How does is work? The rules are pretty simple. Just finish the 5k route before The Shadow. Participants will follow a bicycle lead on a route that follows the Fort Wayne Trails network. The route will be clearly and marked, but we won’t have police presence so be sure to follow traffic laws at road crossings! Fun trophies go to the first place male and female finishers and first place place boy and girl (under 13) finishers.   The Shadow launches at 1:00pm.We launch at 1:05PMAwards begin at 2pm.   So put on you best ninja suit, cool tuxedo T-shirt, or simply a black T-shirt. Runner's for Public Lands (RPL) is excited to partner with Trailblazer Running and the National Park Service (NPS) to present the 2026 Indiana Dunes Trail Work Series.  This project brings our local community of runners together to learn about and care for the living landscapes we run with. Through repetitive, hands-on service events with an educational component, we can share ecological values and create strong connections that inspire runners to care for the people and places they love.  This Trail Work Series will include 4 independent trail work events, each with its own unique educational component. Based on the location of each trail work we have identified a relevant topic to learn about. The educational topics may include native vs. invasive flora, trail building/maintaining, and the importance of wetlands.
