The Cove House Classic, featuring the Hill Country 100K, is one of the major fund raisers for our shelter and free clinic. All proceeds will go to support our efforts to provide quality housing and medical care to those in need. We have Several routes from 26-63 miles. On site registration will start at 6 am and the race will start at 7 am.There will be several water and fruit stations on the route with several routes to choose from.All routes will be marked with roadside signage at each turn. Protein bars, water and Gatorade available at the finish.

We invite all interested runners—elementary, middle school, and high school—to participate in the Southlake 1600, scheduled for Saturday, August 9, 2025. The event will take place on the track in the morning and will feature Fully Automatic Timing (F.A.T.). Please note that this is a non-UIL event. All participants must compete unattached and may not wear school uniforms. A sample schedule from last year’s event is provided below for reference.

US Road Running Races US Road Running races are built for runners and walkers who like friendly, low-pressure race days with just enough competition to keep things exciting. Our events are local, welcoming, and easy to jump into, whether you are chasing a PR, collecting another themed medal, working toward series points, or just getting outside with good people. Most races are small enough to feel personal but organized enough to feel official. You can expect a clear course, helpful race staff, finisher medals, results, and a relaxed community feel. Bring your fast shoes, your steady walking pace, your favorite running buddy, or your best “I signed up for this on purpose” smile. We will be glad to see you at the start line. A quick race-day note: because many US Road Running events are small local races, we normally have one or two staff members at each race. EMS is not stationed on site, and water stations are limited to the finish area at the end of each lap and at the race finish. What Is OUTLAST? OUTLAST is a 6-hour trail endurance challenge where runners complete a 5K every hour, on the hour. Each lap must be finished within the hour to stay in the event. If you finish early, you rest until the next round. Miss a lap, and you’re out. Complete all six rounds, and you OUTLAST. This isn't just about speed — it's about pacing, discipline, and mental grit. Whether you're trying to survive all six or win your division, the challenge is the same: show up each hour, push your limits, and stay in it. Each course is trail-based, with natural terrain, elevation, and unpredictable conditions. You’ll have time between rounds to recover, refuel, and refocus — but not much. What You Earn: ​4 laps = “Grit Earned” patch 5 laps = “Survivor” patch 6 laps = Premium “OUTLAST” medal ​​All participants receive a premium OUTLAST Tee. Top male and female with the fastest combined 5K times at each event win the 1st Place OUTLAST award. Finishers are ranked on the world leaderboard—and the fastest runner across all OUTLAST 6-hour events (including the Championship) will be crowned World Champion and take home a cash prize of $1,000. The next lap starts at the top of the next hour, and only those who completed the last lap on time can continue. How is the race timed? Each 5K is timed individually. If you complete all 6, your combined time counts toward the local win and world leaderboard. Are these trail races or road? Every OUTLAST race is on trail terrain — dirt, rocks, roots, and elevation. Sometimes some pavement and gravel. Can I walk? Yes, as long as you finish the 5K within the hour. But some courses are rugged, and time can sneak up on you. Are there aid stations? Yes. "DO THE HAVEN HUSTLE 5K" The Haven Hustle 5K" is a fundraiser to benefit Haven Homes of Texarkana. Haven Homes is a faith-based, non-profit organization that serves both men and women in the Texarkana/Four States area who are struggling with life issues such as drug abuse, alcoholism, and addiction. Through safe housing, work and service programs, counseling, and spiritual guidance, we help individuals in need grow and thrive. The Haven Homes mission is to bring restoration to broken people through grace-based discipleship. We seek to reach those in pain from addiction and, through God's grace, help these individuals receive love, joy, hope, and healing. Haven Homes offers a Transitional Home for women coming out of Bowie County Women's Center. We also offer 12 to 18 month Recovery Centers for both men and women, and sober-living homes for program graduates. Course & Experience All races are held on scenic local park and greenbelt trails—mostly paved with some crushed granite and dirt sections. Aid stations will be available throughout the course to keep you hydrated and supported. Bigfoot races proceed rain or shine, hot or cold! Packet pickup is open for 1.5 hours before start time. If an additional pickup date is added, participants will be notified by email at least one week before the event. Important Notes Shirt Guarantee: 10 days before race day.
