Super Exciting News! We are adding for the first time a run/bike/run Duathlon to our event! Great for those folks who don't like the swim in a full tri! You will feel right at home at this family-friendly event. it is a race you will enjoy with a fun course at a great location. This is a fantastic venue for all levels of athletes, whether you are a beginner or have completed numerous triathlons. For the intermediate and elite, it is a great opportunity to set a new PR. Athletes will have a choice of sprint or olympic distance triathlon, sprint aquabike, or can choose to participate in an olympic distance OR sprint relay.  Sprint distances - the swim is a 500-meter loop, the ride is on county roads for a 13-mile bike ride with enough low rollers to keep it interesting. US Road Running Races US Road Running races are built for runners and walkers who like friendly, low-pressure race days with just enough competition to keep things exciting. Our events are local, welcoming, and easy to jump into, whether you are chasing a PR, collecting another themed medal, working toward series points, or just getting outside with good people. Most races are small enough to feel personal but organized enough to feel official. You can expect a clear course, helpful race staff, finisher medals, results, and a relaxed community feel. Bring your fast shoes, your steady walking pace, your favorite running buddy, or your best “I signed up for this on purpose” smile. We will be glad to see you at the start line. A quick race-day note: because many US Road Running events are small local races, we normally have one or two staff members at each race. This race consists of the following: Individual, Team Competition, 3 Person Relay and a 5K. Individual Competition: Sign up to participate as an individual. We will have age groups in 5 year increments. The Sprint Triathlon Team option is included for the 12th year. The team competition  will consist of three divisions – male, female, and coed. This is NOT a relay, each team member will do all three components of the Sprint Tri. The overall race times of the three team members will be added together to determine a final team time. The team with the lowest total time in their division will win team trophies. The Brackenridge Cross Country team and the Booster Club are working together to make this a successful event for our athletes, alumni, and community.
