Prompt diagnosis and treatment is crucial to saving patient lives and limiting brain injury. But, the first step is research; which is critical. As a result of the Inaugural Kat Walk in 2025, almost $9k was donated to MAYO JAX specifically for encephalitis research! The Kat Walk is an untimed, half-mile route along the Port Orange riverfront. What is a Tunnel To Towers Run & Walk? The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers. Honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty! Back by popular demand! This is one of our favorite races, and we are thrilled to be able to make it happen again! We have not been able to hold this race for the past 2 years because of the damage that was caused by the hurricane, and the city wouldn't allow any organized events until all repairs were complete.  Let's honor America's veterans with an event focused on supporting them! This event will be a fun run and will have a certified time for all distances! The path is the paved Courtney Campbell Causeway Trail on the southern side of the bridge. There is a relatively high (in Florida terms) peak that each distance (with the exception of the 5K) will cover along the route that allows for a picturesque view of Tampa Bay. It is truly one of Tampa's most beautiful places to run or walk. There will be a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon and 15.5-mile option for this race. The in-person Save the Manatee 5K will be held on Sunday, November 15, 2026, at 8 a.m. ET at Blue Spring State Park in Orange City, FL. November 15 is the official kick-off day of Manatee Season in Florida, so what better way to welcome the manatees back to Blue Spring! The RUN Manatee 5k series offers THREE adventures to celebrate ONE community. Participants will discover Manatee County's parks, beaches and preserves... on the run! The final event of the series will be held on Saturday, November 21st at Rye Preserve in Parrish, FL. The 5K run/walk presented by Run with Purpose Nutrition will allow runners to explore this beautiful slice of old Florida on mixed terrain. The preserve's trail system leads visitors through four distinctive ecosystems, including sand pine scrub, xeric oak scrub, oak hammocks and the river community. Look closely for a glimpse of the variety of interesting creatures that can be seen in these areas including the rare gopher tortoise and Florida scrub-jay.  Warm up will be provided by a local fitness trainer, and yoga cooldown by a local yoga instructor.
