The Friends of the Poor Walk is a nationwide signature event of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.  This event is being held to raise awareness and funds supporting the local Conference of Our Saviour's in Cocoa Beach.    This is our 3rd Annual event and will be a 5K out and back run or walk from the Church parking lot onto Banana River Drive and nearby residential neighborhood.  Registration fee is $28.00 (plus fees) with a kids registration for ages Pre-K through 17 years old for $15.00 (plus fees).  We will have a free kids dash after the 5K is completed. Join us for the Suwannee Valley Rotary Club's thrilling 5K run with optional obstacles at a scenic ranch in North Central Florida! This exciting event offers runners a unique experience, navigating through beautiful landscapes and fun challenges. All proceeds will support vital community initiatives, including academic programs, new parenting support, youth enrichment, and other critical services for those in need. The Race for the Bays will occur on the last day of National Estuaries Week. This is a fun way to close out a week of appreciation for our estuary and natural resources by running through Conservation Park that was created to rehydrate wetlands using the City of Panama City Beach’s reclaimed water. The City employs forestry management practices and wetland protection that will have lasting benefits to the St. Andrew Bay. Proceeds benefit the St. Andrew and St. Joseph Bays Estuary Program.

TARPON SPRINGS SPRINT TRI/DU SEPTEMBER 26, 2026 The Sprint TRIATHLON race begins with a quarter mile swim at 8:00 a.m. off of Fred Howard Beach which is a popular swim location for tourists and beach goers. The bike portion of the race is a 10 mile scenic route and paved and closed roads taking you across Fred Howard Causeway and into historic Tarpon Springs. Our bike course is one of our favorite ways to showcase our beautiful town and it is well staff by the Tarpon Police Department and race volunteers. The run ends inside Fred Howard Park with a 5K that takes you back to the finish line right next to transition area. The DUATHLON is a 5K run/10 mile bike, 5K run The Sprint AQUABIKE category is the 1/4 mile swim and the 10 mile bike, your finish time is when you cross the timing mat with your bike at transition.  You can then head over to the finish line at your leisure to get your finisher's medal. Would like to cordially invite you to our annual "Pink Up The Pace" 5K Walk/Run.  On Saturday, October 3, we will kick off (October’s) Breast Cancer Awareness Month with our 5K walk/run through our historic downtown St. Augustine.  Pink Up The Pace (PUTP) is a non-profit organization founded by Cindy Ortiz Chaconas in 2009, when diagnosed at age 28. The race is now in its 18th year and continues to make an impact and grow.  The 2009 inaugural race brought in over 800 participants and raised $20,000.  In 2019, there were 2,900 participants and $50,000 raised.  All the money raised stays in St. Johns County and goes directly towards our mission of assisting the uninsured and underinsured in the early detection of breast cancer.  In the last 18 years, we have been able to pay out over $350,000 in breast imaging services to the men and women in need in our county. Its' goal is to raise funds to further support the mission and efforts of the Foundation which include but are not limited to funding CPR courses and resources for the community, promoting fire and life safety education, funding a local firefighter memorial, and more. The 5k includes running or walking through beautiful areas of our city. The event will be timed and scored by Lin-Mark Sports of Cape Coral Florida - runners/walkers will be able to sign up for texted results during the entry process.

30th Annual Zarzaur Law Santa Rosa Island Triathlon (SRI TRI) is located on beautiful Pensacola Beach, Florida.  This is a great destination race for the entire family.  This USAT sanctioned sprint distance triathlon features a flat and fast course.  The 550 meter swim (600 yds) is along the pristine shores of the Gulf of America.  The bike is a 21 kilometers out and back that traverses along the shores of Pensacola Beach and the 5 kilometer run takes you through an idyllic beach neighborhood. The afterparty will feature complimentary food and beverages for athletes.  Then spend the rest of your afternoon enjoying the beautiful Pensacola Beach and the various sights the greater-Pensacola area has to offer!

Join us for the 12th Annual CMSAF Binnicker Memorial Run presented by Eglin Federal Credit Union on Saturday, October 3, 2026. Event options include the 9K Run, 5K Run, 5K Walk, and 1 Mile Fun Run. The Zarzaur Law Sea Turtle Triathlon is held annually the first Sunday of October.  The 2025 event will be on Sunday, October 5th, 2025. The event is held on beautiful Pensacola Beach, Florida. The event features a full triathlon experience for children from 6 to 15 years old while friends and family cheer them on. With a fully supported event on a closed course, safety and encouragement from volunteers complement the excitement of children becoming triathletes. The swim course is held in the beautiful waters of the Gulf of America followed by scenic bike and run courses.  Both the bike and run courses features an out and back layout  along Highway 399 which is closed to vehicular traffic during the event.  Every athlete will receive a finisher medal.  Custom age group awards are presented to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placement in each age group.  ​
