The course begins on the southwest corner of the park with a gradual incline toward the north. The course then winds back toward the start line on trails through a small line of trees. It continues along the service road, where the first mile is at the back end of the parking lot. The course continues through the woods on rolling trails with mile two at a fork in the path. The final 1.2 miles is a near replica of the first, featuring plenty of open space for movement. Overall, the course is rolling with occasional rough footing in the woods, but a picturesque course nonetheless, especially in the fall.

Welcome to the annual Frosty Rock Challenge! Packet Pickup On Race Day, packets can be picked up from 7a-9a. On the Friday before the race, packets can be picked up from 4p-6p at Fort HealthCare Business Health Department (210 Milwaukee Ave West, Fort Atkinson, WI 53538) 12K: The only race of its kind! Take on the challenge as you amble your way through the oak savannah, past the marshes and wetlands, and over the prairie on this 12K mixed course. The race starts at the Fort Atkinson High School, goes through Dorothy Carnes County Park and returns to the high school. The 12K route was modified in 2025 due to construction in the area. The route now leaves the High School from the front entrance, wraps around the back of the school, up the hill to Hoard Road and then east to Banker Rd. This race begins at 9:00am. 5K: The route will explore the neighborhood streets of Fort Atkinson, starting and ending at the high school. This race begins at 9:15am. 5K Course 1 Mile: A 1-mile untimed walk/run will also be offered for those who do not want to do the full 5k. This race begins at 8:30am. All racecourses will close at 11:00am. Awards Race will feature overall & age group awards (12 and under for 5k only, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60 +) for both the 5K and 12K male and females.

The Milwaukee Area Fall Frenzy (MAFF) Adventure Race has 3, 8, and 18 hour lengths with a choose-your-own-adventure style race approach to find checkpoints throughout the Southern Kettle Moraine region. The Bristol Woods Trail Run is a 5k trail run/2 mile hike through the trails of beautiful Bristol Woods County Park (Bristol, WI). The event is held on the first Saturday of each November at Pringle Nature Center. Entry fees benefit environmental education programming at Pringle Nature Center. Shirt deadline is Sunday, October 25th. Shirts this year will be a quality performance material in adult men's, women's and youth sizes! This is a Prediction Run: All runners, regardless of speed have a chance to win a turkey! How do you do it? When you sign up, you will be asked to predict your race finish time. Enter your prediction, then run that time on race day. It's as easy as pie, or in this case turkey! Awards: 25 participants in each event who finish closest to their predicted time will receive a full-sized turkey. Limit one turkey per family. A total of 50 turkeys will be given away at the event! PRO Mixed XC Relays presented by Performance Running Outfitters, WI USATF & Wisconsin Runner The PRO XC Mixed Relays is a mixed relay event (male, female, male, female) with each team member running a 3000-meter leg. Teams do not have to be an “official” club team to participate. Just get three running friends! Meet management reserves the right to deny the use of submitted team names. DIVISIONS: Youth (grade 8 & under), High School, Open (any age) AWARDS: Members of the top two teams in each division will receive unique event medals. The members of the top three overall teams will receive $500 Performance Running Outfitters gift cards. The 5k Candy Cane Run/Walk is part of the Christmas Festival in Germantown, WI. This is a chip-timed event but it is also a family friendly run/walk that winds through quiet neighborhoods. Dogs on a leash are welcome; tots in strollers are free; special pricing for students! Discounted pricing for Groups/Teams of 3 or more. Awards based on age categories. FOR KIDS ONLY: Kids Jingle Bell Dash This is a fun run/activity event held 15 minutes prior to the 5k start for kids ages 10 and younger. The virtual option will have awards for the top male and female. If submitting virtual race results post your time on our Facebook event page or email them to the race director. The Community First Credit Union Santa Scamper is a one-mile run/walk event preceding the Annual Downtown Appleton Christmas parade. This race will start at the corner of College Ave & State Street and finish at Jones Park. This event supports St. Joseph Food Program and is part of the 4imprint Race Series. There is a clock at the end of this event, but it is not chip timed. Packet pick-up and race-day check-in will be at The Nature Place beginning at 3:00 p.m. with holiday music and character appearances to kick off the fun. Same-day registration will also be available. The Kenosha Mayor's Day Run/Walk was first held in 1906 and continued until 1950. It was resurrected by the Kenosha Running Club in 1978 and has been running strong continuously since then. The two runs take place on both city streets and the bike path along the lakefront between the museums and Carthage College. Each mile has a designated mile marker. Water stops near miles 2 & 4. The 10K course will close 80 minutes after race start. (No bicycles, roller skates, inline skates, skateboards, etc.) Free Kids Race (50-yard dash) for 8 years & under with paid registration! Registration includes t-shirt for first 1,500 paid entrants and light refreshments after the run. It’s almost time to lace up your sneakers and move your feet before you eat! Our 4th annual TCHS Turkey Trot! On Thursday, November 26th, 2026 we'll be having a great time with anyone that wants to have fun, enjoy each other, get some fresh air, and help animals! Families, visitors, kids, strollers, and pets are welcome! Our 5K fun run/walk supports the Taylor County Humane Society. We'll get started with registration between 8:00 and 8:45 a.m. on race day and start trotting at 9:00 a.m.

Since 2012, the Run Turkey Run 5K has brought nearly 1,000 runners, walkers, families, volunteers, and spectators together on Thanksgiving morning. What began as a local race has grown into a cherished Watertown tradition and has raised more than $235,000 for community organizations along the way. As we prepare for the 2026 Run Turkey Run, we are excited to begin a new chapter in the race's history. This year, the majority of the funds raised through Run Turkey Run will support the development of new lighted community pickleball courts at a local city/community park. We believe this project is a natural extension of what Run Turkey Run has always been about: health, activity, connection, and community. Pickleball is a fun and accessible activity for people of all ages and abilities. New lighted courts would provide a welcoming place for community members to be active, spend time together, and enjoy recreation throughout more of the day and year. Our goal is to raise $50,000 through this year's event to help make these courts a reality. We are encouraging runners to contribute to the cause by adding a donation to their registration or skipping a sweatshirt and having the extra money go toward the pickleball courts. What better way to celebrate Thanksgiving than by bringing our community together to get moving, have fun, and give back?
