Dick Lytie Classic  The Dick Lytie will take place on Saturday, March 21st with a 3 mile, 15k, and half marathon distance!  We are so excited to carry on this long standing tradition of the race established In 1981 - 45 years ago.  The "Mighty Lytie Challenge" is the challenge to complete all three event distances in one week.  How it will work, is participated must compete in the half marathon distance on race day but then will have the week leading up to the event (starting March 14) to complete the other two distances.  Those distances can be completed on any route or the actual course routes.  Your choice!  In addition to the Dick Lytie t-shirt, Mighty Lytie participants will also receive additional GBRC swag which could include running hat, socks, gloves, bondi bands and cinch bags. The Trailbreaker is Waukesha’s signature running event, proudly held every year since 1993. What began as the vision of three passionate local runners has grown into a celebrated tradition that brings the community together each spring. On Thursday, April 9th, at 6:00 PM, the UWP Health and Human Performance Department will be teaming up with Hamann's Helping Hands to host a 5k sunset run/walk at Memorial Park on the UW-Platteville campus. Proceeds raised at this event will go to Hamann's Helping Hands Charity, which is working to raise funds and provide gifts for children in the hospital. This is a great opportunity to help raise money for kids in need while enjoying the spring weather and promoting physical wellness. The course trail begins at Memorial Park and continues onto a slightly wooded, gravel path which runs adjacent to the Rountree Branch creek. We encourage all walks of life to participate in our Sunset Stroll. Great news; we're bring back the beginning runner program this spring!  This program is designed for those looking to transition from walking to running a 5K. The program is structured for beginning runners or those who are returning to running. It involves a mix of walking and running gradually increasing to running a 5K distance. It's a low stress method that helps avoid injury and gain confidence. The program is beginner friendly, non-intimidating and ideal for those new to running.  Running can be a great workout and running with the Badgerland Striders is a social way to run. This years program will run 8 weeks. If you choose, you will have an opportunity to register for the  Badgerland striders Superun 5k to be held on Wednesday June 4th. The Stride to 5k Program kicks off on Thursday, April 9th at 6pm. Since 2007 this race has encompassed a beloved local loop known as the Arb Loop. This is a 10K loop that includes the beautiful landscape of the UW- Madison Arboretum. Once again MadCity will host the 100K solo, 50K Solo, along with the 100K Relay, and 50K Relay. 2026 will be the home of the 100K National Championships.

The Prevea Health Run Away to the Bay is a 55-mile spring relay race with teams of 2-8 participants. Starting on the shores of Lake Winnebago in Menomonee Park in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, runners will head north along the lake towards the Fox Cities before crossing the countryside of Calumet County and finally entering the Fox River Trail just north of Forest Junction. Runners will stay on the trail until reaching the waterfront finish line on The City Deck, in Downtown Green Bay. This event is part of the 4imprint Race Series.

Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids will earn points for each race they complete based on their finish. Pricing: The registration fee covers the entire five (5) weeks of the Series which includes race bibs for each week, a runner shirt, a finisher medal and any sponsor giveaways. On Sunday, April 12th, 2026 come join Wisconsin MEDLIFE in a 5K walk/run! One hundred percent of the race proceeds will be used for medical clinics and community development projects through MEDLIFE international. These projects and clinics benefit communities that otherwise do not have adequate access to healthcare, education, and a safe home. Registration for the race will take place at the end of North Park Street by the Memorial Union Terrace. The Jensen Community Center's annual Youth Soccer program is open to all area youth from grades 4K through 8. The 2026 season will run from Tuesday, April 14 to Thursday, May 14, with the 6-8 league playoffs scheduled for Saturday, May 16. (Schedules are weather-dependent.) Games for K-5 are held on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings with Tuesday evenings as game makeup dates if needed. The grades 6-8 division will have games on Tuesday and Thursday evenings with practices and clinics on Saturday mornings. 4K games are held only on Saturday mornings with no make-up sessions. Early bird registration is $30 for K-8 through December 31, 2025. Regular registration is $35 from January 1 through March 15, 2026, and $45 from March 16 to April 1, 2026. 4K registration is just $5. (An additional online processing fee is added to all registrations.)

The Dairy Roubaix is a one day unsupported gravel tour. This event has morphed over the years, but has always taken place in the beautiful and challenging Driftless Region of Southwest Wisconsin. Running each year since 2011, this event has become a Wisconsin cycling tradition and a chance to reunite with old friends in a relaxed atmosphere. The Dairy Roubaix 2026 is returning in April with 3 exciting routes and will be hosted at the Sugar Creek Bible Camp.

It’s that time of year again! The 11th annual Augusta Elementary Beaver Bolt is coming soon - Saturday, April 18th, 2026. This event brings people from near and far to participate in the 5k fun run/walk and the 400 meter fun run just for kids! Join us for the annual Iola Spring Trail Race on Saturday April 18th, 2026. Come enjoy a day on the trails at the IWSC! Two different race distances, 5k and 15k. The 5k is a winding course moving primarily over ski trail this is a perfect course for people looking to dip their foot into trail racing or reminisce on their high school cross country days! The 15k course is a more technical course with singletrack trail and lung busting climbs - one of which will take you to the top of the IWSC's Ski Jumping Hill! 15k starts at 9am and the 5k starts at 9:15am.  There will also be a free kids 1k race weather permitting. Southern Door People Involved in Education (PIE) presents the Southern Door Trail Trot Run/Walk sponsored by the Door County Medical Center and the Southern Door Business Association. All proceeds will benefit the students and staff in the Southern Door School District.
