US Road Running Races US Road Running races are built for runners and walkers who like friendly, low-pressure race days with just enough competition to keep things exciting. Our events are local, welcoming, and easy to jump into, whether you are chasing a PR, collecting another themed medal, working toward series points, or just getting outside with good people. Give NCW Turkey Trot is a great way to start your holiday season! The event features timed 5K and 10K races and an untimed, free run for kids. The 5K and 10K races are held on the Apple Capital Loop Trail along the Wenatchee riverfront. The Kids Race is held on a short course near the grounds of Pybus Public Market. Thanksgiving Day, November 26th, 2026 Kamiak High School Mukilteo, WA Join Snohomish Running Company for the 12th annual Mukilteo Turkey Trot. Complete a 5k or 10k around the Harbour Pointe neighborhood in Mukilteo, WA, before the big feast. Both distances take place on closed roads and are accessible for strollers and participants of all paces. No pets are allowed on course, though. The Issaquah Turkey Trot 5K is a fun, casual, all-ages event benefitting the crucial work of the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank to provide food and vital resources in East King County. When? Thanksgiving Morning @ 9 a.m. Where? Downtown Issaquah Kids can participate in a “Gobble Wobble” along the route, and trotters often show their spirit with Thanksgiving-themed costumes and accessories as they run, walk, stroll, or trot a three-mile course through the heart of picturesque downtown Issaquah. We welcomed over 5,000 trotters in 2025, and we are hoping to see another great turnout this year as our community rallies behind such an important cause. After the tragic loss of our 15 year old daughter the family tradition of getting together for a movie, thanksgiving dinner and lots of family time was so hard to face without her. Kenzie loved tradition so to help us honor her legacy we created a new tradition for our family. Our family friends "the Larsen's" inspired us to do something Kenzie would love to do so we did, we ran! We were so blessed to have over fifty of our friends and family join us for our first race as well as overwhelmed by the monetary donation that helped support our Safe Driving Scholarship for all local High School seniors. This is our 10th annual race and all proceeds continue to fund our scholarships. November 28, 2026, will be the 41st running of the Seattle Ghost Marathon.  It started in 1985 when the Seattle Marathon changed courses and moved from Saturday to Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend. The course is a very flat and fast certified Boston Marathon qualifier.  The marathon is comprised of two 13.1-mile loops run on streets and sidewalks along scenic Lake Washington in Seattle, WA. The race start/finish is at the Ferdinand St Boat Launch (47.557338, -122.262188) 5018 Lake Washington Blvd. S, Seattle, WA 98118.  It runs south with a clockwise loop of scenic Seward Park and back north to the start/finish area.  It continues north along Lake Washington through Leschi.  The north turnaround is just past the Madrona Drive intersection (47.613496, -122.281265) then you run south back to the start/finish.  There are aid stations every 3.1 miles on each loop. 2 miles of post-Thanksgiving fun! The race starts at the Depot in downtown Naches, WA. The course stays on the Yakima greenway, turns around at Allan Brothers Fruit, and comes back to the Depot to finish. Participants registered before November 15th will receive a free t-shirt. If registered after the 15th, there will be a limited supply of t-shirts for purchase at the race. Be sure to get signed up before the deadline! All proceeds go toward supporting Naches Valley High School Cross Country Booster Club. We greatly appreciate your support!
