Healthy Kids Running Series Spring 2026 - Fort Mill, SC

Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids will earn points for each race they complete based on their finish. The Fourth Annual Hot Pursuit 5K Run/Walk & 1 Mile Catch-A-Cop will be held on Saturday, April 18 2026 ! This is a chip timed race starting and finishing at the Pickens County Airport along the taxiways and runway! The 1 mile Catch-A-Cop will be open to kids ages 5th grade (10 years old) and under. These participants will attempt to "catch a cop" and collect flags as they chase law enforcement officers down the runway. Issaqueena’s Last Ride is a challenging, mountain ride through the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains and Foothills of South Carolina. The 100 mile ride is highlighted by the climb to Wigington Overlook where it is rewarded with expansive views of Lake Jocassee and the surrounding Carolina Piedmont. The 30 mile and the Metric Century 62.1 mile rides stay in the flatter areas of Salem and Tamassee where the roads are gently rolling with no difficult climbs. All routes feature scenic rural roads with little traffic.  This is a CHALLENGE.  Please follow rules of the road. United Community 48th Reedy River Run

The United Community Reedy River Run 10K is one of the oldest road races in the south and will be celebrating its 48th running on April 18, 2026.  With the start on Greenville's famous Main Street, you will take a tour of downtown and beautiful Cleveland, Cancer Survivors and Falls Parks.  The 10K course crosses the namesake Reedy River six times and both the 10K and 5K races will have a downhill finish on Falls Drive near the United Community headquarters.  The 10K race is the 2026 Road Runners Club of America South Carolina State Championship and  was previously the 2017 and 2021 RRCA South Carolina State 10K Championship and the 2019 RRCA Southern Region 10K Championship.  There is also a 5K run which starts on S. **CHECK IN IS AT 10:00 A.M. ON THE SIDEWALK IN FRONT OF THE PRESIDENT’S HOUSE   After a successful return last year, one of Clemson’s most legendary races is back once again. The RC & MoonPie Presidential Downhill Mile returns as a fast, fun, and uniquely Southern tradition... a one mile downhill with a sweet (and slightly chaotic) twist. Participants will gather on the sidewalk outside the President’s House, where they’ll be sent off by a very special guest. At the start line, runners will eat their first MoonPie before getting sent down Highway 93 by the iconic Death Valley Cannon. 5th Annual Run for Recovery - Anderson   Hosted by The Bridge Center Recovery.   ABOUT:  The Bridge Center Recovery is a treatment facility for men seeking freedom from drug and alcohol addiction. We are located on West Whitner Street in Anderson, SC. The Bridge Center has been operating since August of 2020, and has helped over 300 men in an official capacity to date.    PROCEEDS: Race proceeds go back to our Scholarship Fund to financially assist men through our program. Lake Murray Sprint Triathlon

SWIM: 750 Meters (Lake)BIKE: 16 MilesRUN: 5 Kilometers   The Lake Murray Triathlon has become a favorite chance for all South Carolina Triathletes to showcase their talents against the best in the state. Nestled in the center of South Carolina athletes from the Upstate, Midlands and Coastal regions converge into Columbia each year for this sprint distance event.   The swim is one clockwise 750 meter loop. Wetsuits will be legal with expected water temperatures in the low 70's.  Depending on the wind swimmers may encounter light to moderate chop with a small current.   The bike course is long for a sprint distance event - one 16 mile loop. Road surfaces are good with a few rough areas scattered through the course. This is to be expected as the course winds along completely rural roads. Only 5 turns on this course and they are marked with pavement arrows and directional signs. Azalea Festival 5k

The Azalea Festival is on. This is the 3rd race in The Pickens County 5k Race Series. Runners who complete three out of the four races in the series  will receive a race series swag and be eligible for series awards.
