Liberty Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (LPTO) will be hosting Run for the Kids in Downtown Sallisaw on April 11th , and we would love for you to join us.  The race will be run a USATF Certified course that has been previously used for the Diamond Daze Festival Run and the race will be timed by I:40 Race Service.   We will also have a 1 Mile Fun Run for kids and those who want to show their support over a shorter distance.      Why are we doing this?  LPTO exists to raise funds to be able to support teachers and students in the classroom. Cargo Ranch will be hosting the 11th Annual Cargo Classic on April 18th at 8:00 am. The Baby Steps 5K and One Mile Fun Run is an event organized by the Infant Crisis Services Teen Associate Board. The race will benefit Infant Crisis Services, a 501 (c) (3) organization established in 1984. Infant Crisis Services is dedicated to providing food, formula, and diapers for infants and toddlers in 29 counties across central and southern Oklahoma. The Infant Crisis Services Teen Associate Board is comprised of 47 Oklahoma City-area high schoolers in grades 9-12. The 11th annual Golden Driller Marathon will be held on April 18, 2026. The Golden Driller marathon includes a race distance for all levels from 5k to marathon!  All races will be held on the very nice paved trails of Tulsa's Riverparks system along the banks of the Arkansas River.  The race gets it's name from the iconic Golden Driller statue located at EXPO Square in Tulsa.  For more details on this Tulsa icon visit https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Golden_Driller.   Each participant will receive a tech shirt with their entry, as well as a great custom finisher medal that features the Golden Driller.  This race is known for it's small size and friendly nature, as well as great post race food and beer for those 21 and over.  This is a great smaller marathon or half for those who want to avoid the crush of giant big city races.   The course is flat and fast, with the exception of one hill that appears on the marathon course.  All other courses are flat.  On-site parking at the

Outpace Cancer is a 10K/5K race and one-mile walk in Oklahoma City hosted by OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center. This family-friendly event helps create community and support for those fighting cancer and their support systems. After the race, you can enjoy the best post-race party – the Bring Your Pace Bash. The '89er 5K is hosted by the cadets in the '89er Battalion, Guthrie High School JROTC. The Guthrie JROTC program is the first JROTC program in the State of Oklahoma, dating back to 1935. April 24-25 Tahlequah Main Street will host the 18th annual Red Fern Festival.  This festival celebrates the “Where the Red Fern Grows” Novel which is set in the Ozark hills in and around Tahlequah Oklahoma.  The festival spans seven blocks and hosts over 150 arts and crafts vendors and gourmet food trucks, along with inflatables, petting zoos, and live music. This year the Red Fern Festival 5k will happen on a new course that will start and finish at NSU Letters sign at the corner of Goingsnake, Muskogee, and Smith. More details on the new course route.   This will be a rain or shine event, but if the weather is too much to go on, we do not have a reschedule option and it will become a virtual run. Love the traditional fall McNellie's Pub Run?  Love beer?  Love baseball?  Then this is the event for you!   This event is not a timed race but more like an all day pub crawl.  You will have from 10 am until 6 pm to complete the "course" we suggest, making stops along the way at Fassler Hall, McNellie's, and finally Elgin Park in downtown Tulsa.  At each stop if you sign up for the beer version of the race you will be able to enjoy a beer.  Those who elect the "beer version" will be able to enjoy a total of five beers during the event (3 during and 2 post event) while those who elect the "non-beer" version will still receive the two post event brews at any of these McNellie's Group Establishments:  Elgin Park, McNellie's, Fassler Hall, or Dilly Diner.   All entries will include a great race shirt, as well as a finisher medal!

The Tau Beta Sigma Alumni Association (TBSAA) sponsors a Virtual 5K Fun Run program to raise money and support current and future musicians.   Celebrating over 10 years of philanthropy through fitness!   RACE HISTORY The first race took place on May 3, 2015 at Symphony Woods/Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD. Over the next several years, local affiliate groups of the TBSAA planned and executed more For Greater Bands 5K virtual events across the country! The second race (and first virtual race) was held on October 15, 2016. Red Coyote is excited to announce the Summer 2026 Go Farther 10K Program starting May 5th and leading up to the Love Run 5K/10K on June 27th! The Red Coyote 10K Training Program is FREE to people of all abilities (run or walk) to help get the community moving, stay motivated and achieve their personal goals.
