Runners will need to park at the Russ Research Center parking lot at 2670 Indian Ripple Rd (across the street and a bit up the hill from the Nature Center). COURSE: The course is 5.7 miles on trails. REGISTRATION: Registration is available to all through RunSignup prior to the race.  Online registration remains open until approximately 15 minutes before race start and can be done in-person at the race.  Hard copy registration sheets are also available on race day if needed. Minors may be registered on RunSignup by a parent or guardian or in-person with a parent or guardian present to sign the waiver. Celebrate the fall colors and changing seasons with a trail run through Secor and Wiregrass Metroparks!! There will be two races - an 8 miler and a 5K (full disclosure...due to the need to use existing trails, the distances are actually about 7.7 and 3.3 miles. So you have the opportunity to set PR's in a new distance!!). Both races start at Secor Metropark on the all-purpose trail. Runners in the 8 miler will start adjacent to the Secor Room at Secor Park, follow the all-purpose trail counter-clockwise, connect to the Moseley Trail and follow it to Wiregrass Lake, then do a loop around the lake and return on the Moseley and all-purpose trails to the finish at the Secor Room. Runners in the 5K will run one loop of the "long version" of the Secor park all-purpose trail. Both courses are flat and non-technical. Walkers are welcome in the 5K. Welcome to the 6th Annual Haunted Forest Marathon Weekend Family Friendly / Themed event featuring a Full Marathon (26.2 miles), a Half Marathon (13.1 miles), and 5K (3.1 miles). First mile on the road / remainder of the race on hard packed crushed limestone and blacktop. Marathon has a total of 57 feet of elevation over the 26.2 mile distance! The race was founded over twenty years ago when Carleen Taylor made a promise to her friend Peggy that she would help her raise awareness that colorectal cancer occurs in those under 50 years of age. Peggy was diagnosed when she was 42 years old and had four young boys the same age as Carleen’s four boys. Peggy had been misdiagnosed due to her age and wanted to warn other people that colon cancer was not an old person's disease. Sadly Peggy passed away at 45, three weeks before the first race. The race went on to raise awareness. Tragically, after 12 years of warning others about this cancer in the under-50 population, Carleen's 22-year-old son Connor was diagnosed in February 2016. He passed away at the age of 23 in September 2016. He was misdiagnosed for months due to his age. This cancer is now on the increase in teens, 20, and 30-year-old people. We need to raise awareness in the public and with healthcare professionals. We need to raise research funds for young onset screening and treatments. Please join us as we remember lives lost, bring Hope to those in treatment, and take action against this cancer.

Run with Scissors will start and finish at Ledge Lake Lodge. We will have distances of the half, full, or double marathon that take you through the heart of the Cleveland Metroparks Hinkley Reservation. All distances have until 9:00 pm to finish. This is hiker friendly for the half/full marathon, you have plenty of time to finish by 9:00pm. There will be NO early starts. Double marathon has a 16 hour cutoff. The course is roughly 13.1 miles. The Spirit of Sierah, Justice for Sierah's Color Run, is designed to honor the life and legacy of Sierah Joughin. Sierah was a University of Toledo student who was tragically taken from our community in 2016 by a repeat violent offender. This year we are excited to be back at The University of Toledo as we provide a splash of color to celebrate Sierah's life at this family-friendly event. Participants can choose to walk or run a one-mile Fun Run or 5K route throughout the campus. This is not a timed event, but we hope you will join us nonetheless to celebrate Sierah's life and bring awareness to the power of self-defense. Annual Run For Your Life! Free Halloween Group Run with the our Run Club! Wednesday, October 28th 6:30pm-8:30pm Sunset Park 2698 Milton Rd, Middletown, OH 45042 5k and scavenger hunt! Run/Walk Run through Middletown neighborhoods with your favorite Middletown run club to see the awesome local Halloween displays! This is not a race, just a group run with our run club. It is open to the public! So even if you are not in our run club, come join us for some Halloween fun! 5k: We will have turn by turn directions to pass out to everyone doing the 5k, and there will be chalk arrows on the ground. This is a very casual running/walking tour of some of the best halloween displays in Middletown Ohio! We encourage you to take a selfie with the displays and tag us in a post on Facebook or Instagram! We will share your photos on the event page! Scavenger Hunt: This year we are changing the challenge up a little! We will be picking the top 5 Halloween displays in all of Middletown. To complete the challenge you must visit every display we have marked on the map. These will be spread out in different Middletown Neighborhoods. We will have the house addresses, you can use your phone to look them up, but NO turn by turn directions or arrow markings. Just take a selfie with each display and show us your strava/tracker app when you are done. (Note the scavenger hunt could be upwards of 8-10 miles depending on how you run it!) This unique race will take place completely within the Grafton Correctional secure perimeter. *New course* We will run a roughly 2 mile loop; 3 laps for the 10K and 13 for the Marathon. We will be running with residents that are part of the Running2bwell training program that recently started at GCI and all proceeds will support Running2bwell. We recently bought $6000 worth of shoes for the men at GCI and we're hoping to raise that amount at the race. Runners will receive a custom t-shirt (sizes not guaranteed). Most importantly, you'll have the chance to run some miles with men that are working hard to improve their lives on their home court. Female runners are allowed but there is a strict dress code. Shirts must have sleeves, shorts must go mid-thigh. No tight or form-fitting apparel. More rules may follow as I get them. Do not give anything (hats, shirts, etc.) to the men at GCI. Guest runners must be 21 or over. Guest runners cannot be currently on an inmate visitation pass. For security and logistical reasons we're limiting entries to the first 30 to register. You must arrive by 6:00 am to clear security. This isn't your usual race. Runners cannot bring anything except water bottles, hats, and watches. No phones, headphones, etc. You must bring a photo id and will need to lock your car keys in a locker at the entry point. Everyone is subject to search. While this is one of the safest facilities in the state, it's still a prison, and security for all is the highest priority. If you can't make it, please consider making a donation of any size to support this new and exciting program.

The 12th Annual St. Peter Spooktacular 5k & Kids Pumpkin Fun Run will take place on Saturday, October 31, 2026. The 5K begins on Main Street in front of St. Peter's Catholic Church, and runs the streets of Huron. A relatively flat course, with sidewalk present for walkers, participants will run/walk the neighborhood of Oklahoma and the streets along Cleveland Road West and the Old Plat. Top 3 placers in each category will be awarded a prize. The Kids Pumpkin Fun Run will take place following the 5k. It begins in front of the St. Peter School on Huron Street, and is one lap around the Huron/Main Street block, approximately 1/2 mile. All participants will be awarded a candy treat bag prize. All participants (and spectators) are encouraged to dress in costume. 100% of all funds raised from this event benefit the students of St. Peter School.

What Is OUTLAST? OUTLAST is a 6-hour trail endurance challenge where runners complete a 5K every hour, on the hour. Each lap must be finished within the hour to stay in the event. If you finish early, you rest until the next round. Miss a lap, and you’re out. Complete all six rounds, and you OUTLAST. This isn't just about speed — it's about pacing, discipline, and mental grit. Whether you're trying to survive all six or win your division, the challenge is the same: show up each hour, push your limits, and stay in it. Each course is trail-based, with natural terrain, elevation, and unpredictable conditions. You’ll have time between rounds to recover, refuel, and refocus — but not much. What You Earn: ​4 laps = “Grit Earned” patch 5 laps = “Survivor” patch 6 laps = Premium “OUTLAST” 6-inch medal ​​All participants receive a premium OUTLAST Tee. Top male and female with the fastest combined 5K times at each event win the 1st Place OUTLAST award. Finishers are ranked on the world leaderboard—and the fastest runner across all OUTLAST 6-hour events (including the Championship) will be crowned World Champion and take home a cash prize of $1,000. The next lap starts at the top of the next hour, and only those who completed the last lap on time can continue. How is the race timed? Each 5K is timed individually. If you complete all 6, your combined time counts toward the local win and world leaderboard. Are these trail races or road? Every OUTLAST race is on trail terrain — dirt, rocks, roots, and elevation. Sometimes some pavement and gravel. Can I walk? Yes, as long as you finish the 5K within the hour. But some courses are rugged, and time can sneak up on you. Are there aid stations? Yes. There will be water, basic hydration, and snacks at the basecamp/loop start. This is a cupless event — bring your own bottle or hydration system. What should I bring? Trail shoes, hydration system, layers (weather dependent), fuel between laps, and grit. Can I setup a tent? Absolutely, bring your own aid station/tent setup. Is OUTLAST for beginners? Yes — if you're mentally tough. You don’t need to be fast, just consistent and ready to suffer a little. How do I win? If you finish all 6 laps and have the fastest combined time, you win your division (male/female). Winners are also added to the world leaderboard for a shot at the $1,000 national prize & title.

Standing Up to POTS was founded in 2014 and is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Standing Up to POTS was founded by Dr. Cathy Pederson in 2014 after her daughter was diagnosed with POTS. Standing Up to POTS was created to generate a community who can support each other while pushing forward understanding of POTS. Dr. Pederson earned her Ph.D. in Physiology and Neurobiology from Rutgers in 1996, and has dedicated all of her professional research efforts to POTS, chronic illness, and quality of life.

Run In Piqua, Ohio 5k Run/Walk Through Forest Hill Cemetery October 31st, 2026 At 5:45 PM Course: Start and finish on Forest Ave. in front of Fountain Park. The course runs through Forest Hill Cemetery in Piqua. No dogs permitted in cemetery (Service animals only) Entry Fee: Pre-registration by Oct 19 is $25.00 (T-shirt included or deduct $5.00 if you don't want a shirt), late (after Oct 25 registration $20.00 (No T-shirt).
