Come out and Support Cliffs of the Neuse State Park's 6th spring trail race! We will have 4ish and 8ish mile distances as well as a 4ish mile hike option. Also a 50k ULTRA distance! And new for 2026 a 25k option! START/FINISH AREA AT THE BIG PICNIC SHELTER WITH REAL PARKING AND REAL BATHROOMS! The course will start and finish at the big picnic shelter by the lake parking lot. There will be a short section of gravel road but the 4ish mile loop, 8ish mile lollipop, and 50K/25K laps will be mostly beautiful single and double track. The curvy trails include significant elevation change, bridges, and views of the river and lake. Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Burke Sunrise Rotary Club invites all runners and walkers to join us and the Spring colors in the NC foothills on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 8:00 a.m. The scenic paved 5K course winds through the beautiful campuses of Western Piedmont Community College (WPCC), the NC School of Science and Math (NCSSM) and the NC School for the Deaf (NCSD) with a backdrop of the South Mountains. The PTI 5k/10k Run on the Runway will take place on March 28, 2026, on the airport’s 9,000-foot parallel runway. This certified run benefits The Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC, Greensboro Urban Ministry, and Open Door Ministries of High Point. Everyone is invited to run or walk on the runway. The flat and smooth surface is ideal for achieving a personal best time, and the course is wheelchair accessible and baby stroller friendly. This event offers a unique opportunity to get a close-up view of the airport and runways, available only once a year. Greater Goldsboro Road Run - Run for a Child
