The 46th edition of the Heart O' Dixie Triathlon will be held on Saturday June 20th, 2026 - during the Neshoba County Fair. The race begins at 6:30 a.m. with a 1/2 mile swim in Lake Tiak O’Khata in Louisville, MS -  followed by a 27 mile bike ride down hwy 15 into Philadelphia, MS -  it concludes with a 6.5 mile run finishing on the horse racing track at the historic Neshoba County Fairgrounds. The first Heart O' Dixie Triathlon was held in 1980 not long after the first modern swim/bike/run Triathlon event was held at Mission Bay in San Diego, California in 1974.  The Heart O' Dixie Triathlon is one of the longest running triathlons in the United States. Death by 5k Brandon

Can you survive the Death by 5k Challenge?  Ten 5ks in 24 hours. The first 5k starts at 8 am and subsequent 5ks start every 2.5 hours.  5k start times are as follows: 8 am, 1030 am, 1 pm, 330 pm, 6 pm, 830 pm, 11 pm, 130 am, 4 am, 630 am. The final 5k must be completed by 8 am on Sunday.  The event will take place at the RunStrong Training Center and the 5k course will be the same for each leg, starting and ending at the Training Center. Runners may rest or sleep inside their vehicles in between 5ks, or can go home if they live close enough to the event location. There is also a green space where tents can be placed.  There will be 5 meals, each including hot food, served over the course of the event. Meal times will be 830a, 130p, 630p, 1130p, and 420a. There will be plenty of snack food throughout the event also.  Registrants will receive a race shirt along with some race swag, and finishers will receive a custom finisher's coffin. This event takes place in summer in Mississippi

Pascagoula River Paddle Battle

Race Info: Dip your paddle into one of the Mississippi Gulf Coast’s officially designated water trails and enjoy a uniquely adventurous perspective of the region’s abundant natural beauty and native wildlife.  The Pascagoula River, also known as the “Singing River”, is the largest free flowing (unimpeded) river system in the contiguous United States.  The Pascagoula River Paddle Battle is an 11.5 mile race down the Pascagoula River for all types of human powered paddle craft.  The race will begin at Little River Marina in Moss Point and end at the LaPointe-Krebs House in Pascagoula. Racers will drop their paddle craft at Little River Marina in Moss Point and then park their vehicles at LaPointe Krebs House in Pascagoula. Shuttles will be provided back to the race start. 9th Annual Yule Run

Come one, come all! Join us in the 8th annual, rousing, holly-jolly race through the heart of Clinton’s decorated downtown! Yule Run Clinton is a combined 5k walk/run and 8k run through Clinton's historic Olde Towne! The race dashes and dances from Jefferson Street to Clinton Boulevard, which takes runners through the route of the annual city-wide Christmas parade. This year's run begins at 7:00am, but we hope not to see anyone running as frantically as gingerbread men!
