Come join us for our Cross-Country 5K on the trails of beautiful Carousel Park & Equestrian Center: Home of the Mounted Patrol. Whether you are running for your personal best or walking just to support our mission, the horses will be there to cheer you on! All proceeds go to support the active duty and retired horses of the New Castle County Police Department’s Mounted Patrol Unit.

This scenic and unique race winds through the rolling hills, farmland, and woodlands of the Brandywine Creek State Park and First State National Historical Park, offering stunning views and an unforgettable challenge for runners of all levels. History: During the Summer of 2017 a public-private collaboration of business owners, Lewes citizens, and representatives of the City of Lewes decided to form an organization to bring official fireworks back to the city of Lewes. We believe that safe and legal fireworks along our beach is the perfect ending to the Lewes' Old Fashioned Fourth of July festivities, which include games on Second Street, a boat parade on the canal, and the Lewes Doo Dah Parade. Fireworks on the beach are a perfect way to end this family-friendly day. Go Fourth! was formed to bring this to fruition. Go Fourth! Go Fourth! is jointly managed by the Go Fourth! committee of volunteers, the Lewes Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Lewes. The Go Fourth! Join us for the 17th Annual Indy 5K & Color Us Kids Fun Run, presented by Delaware Orthopaedic Specialists.   Registration Prices Per Race: $35.00 for adults *$25.00 for youth 17 and under *registration price will change on the form once the birthday is entered for the participant. If you want to participate in both races, please only register/pay for the Indy 5K so you have a timing chip bib. All race proceeds support the First Responders Community Partnership offering tuition discounts to children of first responders.  As a school whose mission it is to inspire citizenship in its students, Independence is proud to support those who are inspired to serve as first responders for our community. Students who have one or both parents who are actively employed full-time as first responders in law enforcement, fire protection, in a capacity as an emergency medical technician (EMT) or in the armed forces, are eligible to receive a discount towards tuition during each year of enrollment.

There will be three races held on the same day.  There will be one marathon, and two 5k's, one 5k will be competitive and the other will be a family fun walk/run.  We will start in the field at the beginning of the Micheal Castle Trail in Delaware City and use the trail going into Maryland to the turnaround and then back to the start where there will be a party in full swing cheering the athletic as they finish.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware is excited to announce June 5th, 2026 as the date for The GOAT Run 5K! We’re excited to have this year’s race on Friday night with registration beginning at 5:30 PM.  Proceeds from this event benefit the Greater Milford Boys & Girls Club. Before the race, at around 6:20 there will be a kids run where all participants receive a medal. Light refreshments will be available post race.

What is a Tunnel To Towers Run & Walk?The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers. Welcome to the Delaware SwimFest presented by French Creek Racing! Swimmers can choose an 800m race, 1600m race, or for a challenge - both races! Swimmers should be confident of their ability to swim 800/1600 meters in open water before entering. We follow USAT's guidelines for use of wetsuits. Anything below 78ºF will be wetsuit legal and above 78º will be non-wetsuit. Anyone who wishes to wear a wetsuit above 78ºF will simply compete as an unofficial racer. Join us for our annual UPD 5K.This race benefits Ulster Project Delaware (UPD). UPD was founded in 1976 as a program to build understanding between Northern Irish Catholic and Protestant teenagers. Each July, the project brings a group of teenagers between the ages of 14 and 16, half Catholic, half Protestant, and half girls, half boys, to the Wilmington area where they live with host teenagers and their families for four weeks. During that month, the teens participate in a variety of team building, social, sightseeing, spiritual and service activities that enable them to create enduring friendships and mutual understanding.

Just minutes from I-95 this mid-season Sprint/Olympic race is fast, flat and easy to get to.  Staged out of beautiful Lums Pond State Park in Bear, Delaware this is a great race for elite and novice athletes alike. The freshwater swim starts with a rectangular course that parallels the shore for the first 250 meters. The bike course is super fast and completes a large loop around the park.  This course is completely flat, all right hand turns and has great pavement throughout.  The run course is amazing with a beautiful, heavily forested mix of single track lake views and wide open graveled walking paths.  There are mountain biking, hiking and running trails galore as well as the GoApe ropes course.  Or you can relax with friends post race at Stewarts Brewing Company on the way home. ***The Lum’s Pond Sprint & Olympic Triathlons are the USA Triathlon Delaware State Championships.Qualifying for the Toyota Age Group National Championships. Middletown's longest running 5k.  The Peach Festival race signals the original harvest of what was once the largest peach  farming area in the Nation.  All proceeds benefit the Middletown Athletic Club Scholarship Fund. (read more about the MAC Scholarship here.)      Please be aware, due to construction work in the park, we have had to move the location for registration and modify the course route.      Please use caution walking around the park and beware of construction equipment and uneven surfaces.

Staff Sergeant Christopher Slutman was not only a loving husband, father, son and brother but he was also a FDNY Firefighter. Sadly, while serving in the Marines, he was killed by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan. Chris was an avid runner with his wife Shannon.  Join us in honoring this American HERO by running or walking in his honor. All funds from the event will be donated to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation which supports the families of fallen or catastrophically injured military and first responders and the Global War on Terrorism Memorial Foundation which is building a memorial to honor our heroes on the National Mall.

Delmarva's Coastal Traverse Adventure Race is back in 2026!  This 12-hour beach themed adventure race will challenge teams and solo racers alike to navigate Delaware’s coastal landscape by bike, foot, and paddle, linking wildlife refuges, state parks, beaches, tidal marshes, and vibrant coastal towns.  With multiple route choices and numerous optional checkpoints, experienced racers can push for a full-course completion while newer teams can tailor the challenge to their comfort level without losing the spirit of the race.  Tides, terrain, and strategy will all play a role, rewarding smart decisions as well as raw endurance. Featuring some newly raced areas of the Delmarva Peninsula, this event offers a fresh, dynamic test of adventure racing skill in one of the region’s most diverse coastal environments.

Vet Fest 2026 Run. Ruck. Walk. Ride. Vet Fest provides an annual uplifting opportunity for the military and civilian communities to stand together against military and veteran suicide. Focusing on physical fitness, participants are invited to run, ruck, ride, roll or walk their way through their community. Honoring the founding location of Vet Fest, Whitehall Delaware will still host the annual event with participants from around the country invited to join in nationally where they are. Virtual runs and rides will take place all weekend long - banning together as a nation to benefit Stop Soldier Suicide’s efforts to reduce the epidemic of military suicide.   All registrants will be mailed a commemorative Vet Fest 2026 event T-shirt.
