The Promise House is a transitional recovery house for women in Northeast Arkansas, it is faith-based and supported by Southwest Church and what was formerly the HUB. The American Legion Post 91 Family in Beebe is continuing our mission to prevent suicide in our veteran and military population along with other groups where we have seen a larger than average suicide rate. The mission of The American Legion's Be The One initiative is to reduce the rate of veteran suicide. We're actively working on lessening the stigma associated with mental health treatment and empowering everyone to take appropriate action when a veteran or service member may be at risk – one life at a time. Whether you're a veteran or the friend or family-member of a veteran, you can Be The One. American Legion Post 91 Family will host a "Be the One" walk for Veteran suicide awareness and prevention. This walk is part of the American Legion's Mission and an initiative involving multiple communities that will help build awareness about the crisis, destigmatize asking for mental health support, and will introduce participants to resources available to veterans who are possibly struggling. The Creek Trail Creek Crusher is back for 2026! The Crusher has 3 races designed to test your endurance and will. 6, 12, and 24 hour races will begin at 8:00 am on November 15th at Rotary Park in Paragould, AR. The race route begins at Rotary Park and proceeds to the 8 Mile Creek Trail, the entire route is completely paved with no street crossings. All Races will be last participant standing events, meaning if a race has no participants complete the entire time allotted for their race, once only one participant remains the race ends, and the last participant standing is declared the winner. If multiple participants reach the final cycle in their respective race the first to complete the cycle will be declared the winner.  Runners will be required to complete a 4.167 mile out and back cycle within 59 minutes and 59 seconds. A new cycle starts at half past every hour. Early and late starts are not permitted. If a runner has not returned from the previous cycle or is not at the start line

IT'S BACK! The annual "WANGO TANGO" endurance race, a loud and rowdy 4-hour ENDURANCE mountain bike race/trail run on the City Lake trail system in Siloam Springs Arkansas! This year’s 3rd annual Turley Turkey Trot is dedicated to the memory of Amanda Huett-Turley, who passed unexpectedly on November 30, 2023, at the age of 45. In her honor, the Nicu nurses at CHRISTUS St.Michael have established the Amanda Huett-Turley Memorial Healthcare Profession Scholarship, awarded to Genoa High School seniors, and nursing students from local colleges. Raid the Rock is Arkansas's longest running adventure race. We've been around since 2001! Get ready for a new adventure this year, we are changing some things up and getting back to our urban roots! Get your team together and come get your Adventure On!! There will be two course options: an 4 hour sprint course and a 12 hour full adventure course. Each course will require advanced navigation (orienteering). You can find more information in the drop-down menu of the Race Information tab at www.raidtherock.com. Stay tuned for updates for each race. Each race will include trekking/running, mountain biking, paddling, and if the location allows, a ropes section. All of these disciplines are done while navigating through the entire course with a compass and map.
