Hey, El Paso! The Eagle at Night Aquathlon is back for its second year, and we’re excited to welcome athletes for another unforgettable evening under the lights. This unique multisport race begins with a 400‑meter swim in the 50‑meter outdoor pool, followed by a 5K run around Ascarate Park, finishing at the Ascarate Golf Course. Our Plano Pacers Millet Mile & Ken Ashby 5K will be held June 27th at 7:30AM at Windhaven Meadows Park. The 1M race will begin at 7:30am, the 5K at ~8:00, and the Kids K should start at about 9:00AM. Members with chips do not need to register online or check-in, just bring your chip to the event and run. Members who recently joined, or have not already picked up their chip can pick their chips up at the Membership table on race day (before 7:00 AM). JUNE 27, 2026.   This will be the second event in the 2026 Capt'n Karl's Night Trail Run Series - held at Muleshoe Bend LCRA Recreation Area, approximately 40 miles northwest of Austin in picturesque Spicewood, TX. Muleshoe Bend is located on the scenic Lower Colorado River, Lake Travis region. This course is challenging, rocky, technical with 3094 feet of elevation gain. These trails are deceptively tough, with heat & humidity making Muleshoe Bend a worthy adversary. This is primarily due to the thick foliage & heavy woods, creating a peaceful environment & no wind. Get ready to sweat.   While every racer will get some cool swag, June 4th is the deadline to get a shirt.

Super Exciting News! We are adding for the first time a run/bike/run Duathlon to our event! Great for those folks who don't like the swim in a full tri! You will feel right at home at this family-friendly event. it is a race you will enjoy with a fun course at a great location. This is a fantastic venue for all levels of athletes, whether you are a beginner or have completed numerous triathlons. For the intermediate and elite, it is a great opportunity to set a new PR. Athletes will have a choice of sprint or olympic distance triathlon, sprint aquabike, or can choose to participate in an olympic distance OR sprint relay.  Sprint distances - the swim is a 500-meter loop, the ride is on county roads for a 13-mile bike ride with enough low rollers to keep it interesting. Several years ago, my dad and his friend started a yearly run on July 4th, getting a group of people together to run throughout the town with American flags. When I ran with them I would think, “Why not make a 5k out of this?” That was the beginning of the Flag Run 5k, and we’ve been dedicated to making this race happen ever since. Within the last few years, this event was made possible through all of our helpful sponsors, racers, and the community as a whole.
